 For this card, I only used the two pieces with all of the detailed flowers.  There is a third piece in the set to use if you want to make just half of a card front.  I know, doesn't make much sense!  Just watch this video that Stampin' Up! put out and it will explain it a whole lot better than I can!

Vase with flowers and matching card

Hello Stampers!  Every week I give myself one day to have fun with my crafting!  Some times that may mean doing some other type of crafting besides my stamping, and sometimes my crafting may include my stamping!  

I received a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas 2 1/2 years ago.  I took it out of the box and played that day, and then didn't touch it again for 2 years!  I know, I know!  Well, a few months ago I decided it was time to start playing with it and learning how to use my machine!  I found a local craft store that offer monthly Silhouette classes, so I signed myself up!  The first class was just showing us how to use the machine and we made a simple project.  Since then, I attend project classes where we create something.

It is so much fun to actually go to a class that I haven't designed, and prepped for!  I like being the student!

Today I am going to share with you the project that we made a couple of month's ago.

 For this project we cut out the flowers and assembled them.  We painted the jar with acryllic paint.  We stencilled the burlap band for the jar and adhered it.  The card is a shaker card!  I love it and I'm so excited that now Stampin' Up! has a jar stamp set that we can create shaker cards with too!!!  It is a bundle with the stamp set Jar of Love and the Everyday Jars framelits.

For the card we cut out all of the layers and then sketched the sentiment and cut it out too!  So much to learn on this project!

Work of Art thank you card

Hello Stampers!  I recenty needed to make some thank you cards, and couldn't come up with any ideas!  So as I was looking through Facebook, I came across a card that a friend of mine, Robin Armbrecht, had made.

I loved it, so I had to CASE it!  I changed the colors and sentiment and came up with this beauty!

 This card uses the Work of Art stamp set in some of the new In-colors.  The top splotch and the heart are stamped in Peakaboo Peach.  The long swish is in Dapper Denim.  The bottom splotch is stamped in Flirty Flamingo and the thank you is from the Tin of Cards stamp set and stamped in Black.

Father's Day card

Hello Stampers!  I have to show you the Father's Day card that I made for my hubby!  It is so fun!

First let me start off by saying that the man has one hobby, and that is brewing his own beer!  He stinks up my house every couple of months as he cooks all of his stuff together, mixes it, and cools it.  Yuck!

So, this is the card that I made for him:

It is really pretty good size, about 5" tall and maybe 6" wide.  I even had to create a special envelope!

Here he is with the card on his knee so you can get a better idea of the size:

Now he doesn't usually say a whole lot about the cards I make.  He of course says they are nice, but that is about it.  When he opened this one he just went on and on about how neat it was!  I guess this one was a hit!  He even said he was going to keep it on his desk!

Project Life

Hello Stampers!  I just had to share with you my latest video that I recorded!  It is all about how to use Project Life!  I'm also holding a class this week so you can see it and get your hands on the kits!

My class is this Wednesday, June 22nd, at Hobby Lobby in Arnold.  It will run from 6 - 8 p.m.  The cost of this class is $5 but if you make a purchase that evening the fee will be waived.

Work of Art Thank You

Hello Stampers!  I have been on a card making roll lately!  Here are a few that I cranked out today:

 This is a card that I saw a demonstrator friend of mine, Robin Armbrecht, make.  Hers was in blues and I thought I would make mine in the new in-colors.  I love the way it turned out! The stamp set used is the Work of Art stamp set.  It was in last years catalog too, and I have always loved this set!

Meeting show n' tell and demonstration

Hello Stampers!  Today I wanted to share with you the show n' tell items and our demonstration from our last meeting.  Every month we have a table where everyone can bring samples of projects they have been working on.  It is fun to see all of the creative projects that everyone makes!

June card classes

Hello Stampers!  Where in the world do these day keep slipping away too?  I am having such a great summer with my girls both home!  Every free second we get we are off having fun!  I will start trying to post some of the fun we are having just so that I don't forget about you!

Today was a gorgeous day here.  We decided to go to the zoo.  Yes, my girls are 19 and 21, but we all still love to go to the zoo!  Since it was a little cooler here today, the animals were all out and playing today.  We especially loved watching the elephants!

Today I wanted to show you the scrapbook page that we will be making in my scrapbook class this month.

Swirly Bird and scraps

Hello Stampers!  I have been playing a lot with one of my new favorite Thinlits sets from the new catalog, Swirly Scribbles.  I have been having so much fun creating with it!  It coordinates with the Swirly Bird stamp set which I also have and am loving!  Here is today's creation:

I have had all of these word windows punched and laying on my table since March!  I was punching openings in handles for some goodies I made for my customers at my Sale-a-bration Celebration.  

I simply adhered them to the card front and Voila!  I liked the Hooray from the Confetti Celebration stamp set and it was the perfect size to be backed with one of the swirlies from the framelit!
