Hello Stampers!  Well, today is my last day at the Stampin' Up! Leadership conference.  I'm so excited to share with you some new things, but today I wanted to share with you the gorgeous wreath that my team member Lynn made as our door prize at the January meeting!  Don't say I didn't warn you, you will love it!

 Here is Lynn holding the wreath!  She simply punched out tons of hearts using the Sweatheart punch from the Stacked With Love designer series paper stack.  They were glued onto the wreath and wrapped around.  I love it!  Thanks Lynn! 

We have the tradition of whoever wins the doorprize can either accept or decline the responsibility of making the door prize for the next meeting.  Can't wait to see what our prize is for next month.

Roomie notebook gifts

Hello Stampers!  Every time we attend a Stampin' Up! event, we made gifts for our roommates.  Who would have ever thought that we would like to make gifts for others!  It's not like we are all creative and have tons of papercrafting supplies handy!  Haaaaa!

So I usually make notebooks for everybody to take their notes in.  I always take tons of notes at these events, and the few pages they give us in our program are simply not enough!

 I found these adorable notebooks at the dollar store awhile back.  Ad of course they are purple so I had to have them!  At first I was going to cover up the over, but I just loved the bicycle, so I decided not to.  I cut out the word hello using the Hello You thinlits dies in everbody's favorite Stampin' Up! color.  I'm thinking they need some ribbon tied on their spirals too, so I will do that tomorrow!

After I get back, I will share with you the gifts I got from my friends Karen and Sue!

Butterflies Thinlits swap card

Hello Stampers!  I am at the Stampin' Up! Leadership conference and having a terrific time!  I only signed up for one organized swap this time, but since it was for 48 people, I figured that would be plenty!  Want to see the swap card that I made?

  Remember a couple of weeks ago I showed you a whole pile of these butterflies cut out?  This is what I did with them!  The butterflies were so simple to cut out using the Butterflies Thinlits dies, I just loved them!

The designer series paper squares that are on the card are from the Stacked With Love designer series paper stack.  This paper stack has a red/pink Valentine theme on one side of the papers and the other side is all black and white designs!  I love them!  And they will be good for all year!

After I get home from Leadership I will be sharing with you some of the great swaps I got from my organized swap that I did!

Leadership Bound!

Hello Stamers!  Well today is the day, I'm headed for Leadership in sunny Orlando, Florida!  They say it is a magical place, and I have to agree!  I am a disney fanatic and would go several times a year if I could!

Leadership is going to be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  On Saturday evening my youngest daughter, Amie is flying down and we are going to spend a couple of days, just the two of us in Orlando.  I'm so excited!

One of my favorite parts about Leadership, is the Manager's Reception.  This is one evening of pampering and fun that is only for those demonstrators with the title of Manager or above. Here is our invitation that we received this year:

 And this is the inside!  Don't know if you can read it or not, but they are renting out part of Hollywood Studios for just us!  We will have a private showing of Disney's Fantasmic show and then we get to mingle with Disney stars and enjoy a Disney dessert buffet!  I know right!  Don't you wish you were going with me??  Maybe I can fit a couple of you in my suitcase!

 This is a special Valentine treat that Lisa made for all of us!  Darn you Lisa!  I wasn't going to purchase the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit, but the bags are just so darn cute!  Add one more thing to my wish list!

January team meeting

Hello Stampers!  Today was my January team meeting!  I always look forward to our meetings!  These ladies are so fun, I just love them!

Now to show you something that I have been working on lately!  I am leaving for Stampin' Up! Leadership in just under two weeks!  I'm so excited!  Anyway, I got into a swap and I have to make 48 cards!  Here is a little sneak peek on what my swaps will look like:

 I cut out 48 butterflies using the new Butterflies Thinlits Dies in the Occasions catalog.  I have to admit that I was a little worried about these thinlits when I saw them in the catalog.  Sometimes these intricate designs are tough to cut, don't come out easily, and are just frustrating.  But I have to say, these butterflies were super easy, and each one came out perfectly!  I love it!!!  You will definitely be seeing more projects made with these!

Cheerful Critters Birthday card

Hello Stampers!  Have you ever seen a stamp set in a catalog and immediately thought "I just have to have that set!" even if you had no particular ideas of what to do with it?  That is how I felt when I saw the Cheerful Critters stamp set in the Occasions catalog.  I just love it! 

Now that I have it, I love it even more!  I have made several cute cards with it and I have seen even more cuter ones on other's blogs! 

I decided to use it for my recent team facebook challenge and want to show you what I came up with!

Isn't it fun?  Every couple of weeks we have a challenge on our team page.  It may be a template, like this one was, or it might be a color challenge. 

For this card I also used the Blue Ribbon stamp set.  I used the Moonlight designer series paper stack from the annual catalog.

Masculine birthday cards

Hello Stampers!  I recently had to make couple of masculine birthday cards, so for the first one I pulled out one of my favorite sets for masculine cards, Blue Ribbon!  I used the Confetti Celebrations designer series paper on the background.  I love the colors in this package of designer series paper. 

 I saw a card very similar to this on someone's blog and knew I would have to CASE it!

For the second card, I went with washi tape, which I also think makes great masculine cards and is super simple!

 For this card I used the Retro Fresh washi tape and the small star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.

Although I prefer making cards with flowers, ruffles, and bling, I just wanted to show you that masculine cards are very doable!  So next time you need a masculine card, dont shy away!  Jump in there and start creating.  And I would love to see what you make!

 

 

Monthly card class

Hello Stampers!  Today I wanted to show you the cards that we will be making in my card classes this month! 

 These cards are using a lot of the new products from the Occasions catalog and the Sale-a-Bration catalogs!   We will be making a birthday card, a Valentine's card, and a thank you card. 

 I can't wait for you guys to get your hands on some of these new products!  They are fabulous!

The birthday balloon card uses the Celebrate Today stamp set and the new Bow Builder punch!

The Valentine card uses the Hello Life stamp set and the Confetti Heart Border punch and Happy Hearts embossing folder.

The thank you card uses the Lotus Blossom stamp set (which you can get for FREE!).

Happy New Year!

Hello Stampers!  Happy New Year to you all!  I know, it is already January 5th, but I'm just a little behind!  I have been planning some big upcoming classes and events as well as totally cleaning out my crafting areas!  But I'm back now and ready for the upcoming Sale-a-Bration and Occasions catalog!  Both of these new catalogs to live tomorrow!  I'm so excited!

For today though, I want to show you the New Year card that I made.

For this card I used the Embellished Events stamp set.  I used a marker to ink up the outline image of the glasses, but not the liquid in the glasses.  To make the liquid a gold color, I simply used the I used the gold Stampin' Dazzle marker to color the stamped image.   

I used strips of the Watercolor Wonder washi tape on my background.  I love the look of the gold!  I used Gold foil sheets to mat the stamped image and rhinestones for my bubbles! 

Such a fun card!  This card could also be used for anniversary or wedding cards.
