July swap cards

Hello Stampers!  My team recently held a swap and our theme was Patriotic.  Today I wanted to share with you some of the swaps I received.

 This fun card was made by Debbie.  I love the Decorative Dots embossing folder on the background.

 This card was made by Pat B.   I love this sunburst technique!  The the strip that was punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch looks great!

 This card was made by Karen.  I love the Petite Pennants Builder punch!  I used it on my swap too!

 There wasn't a name on this card, but I think Lisa made it.  I love the way it isn't a full card when closed and you can lift up on the banner to open up the card!  And, if you look at the ribbon closely, she spritzed color on the Organza Ribbon to add some color to it!  Great technique!

Happy Birthday Casie!

Hello Stampers!  Well, yesterday my oldest turned 20 years old!  It just doesn't seem possible!  It seems like just yesterday she looked like this:

And now today is she is a beautiful young woman!

She is still my little girl though, and I know she loves rainbows and lots of color!  So, here is the card that I made her for her birthday:

I saw a similar card on The Stamp Doc blog, and knew that was the one I would make for her.  The stamp set I used for the lines is the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  I just love this stamp set!  I have used it for so many cool cards!

For this card, I just inked up the stamp in each color, stamped it, cleaned it, and did it again.  It was super easy to line up.  And I love the rainbow look of it.  I'm thinking about making something similar to this for some swap cards for Convention!  Stay tuned to see what I come up with! 

The sentiment is from the new Any Many More stamp set.  I can already tell that that one is going to get just as much use as Teeny Tiny WIshes stamp set does!  This set has every sentiment you could ever need! 

Wedding card

Hello Stampers!  Recently, a really close friend of mine's daughter got married.  Of course, I had to make her a card! 

One of my favorite wedding cards to make the the intertwining hearts card.

 This is what the card looked like closed.  The background is actually a patterned yellow piece of designer series paper.

 Here is the inside. 

I simply laid all of the Heart Framelits on a piece of cardstock all at the same time and ran it through the Big Shot.  Starting with the largest heart, take every other one and adhere them to the front of the card, alternating which side of the heart is adhered to the card front.

I added an extra heart to the inside of the card.  Super easy and fun to make!

Paper flowers

Hello Stampers!  Well, it's back to reality!  My husband and I spent the last week in Barbados to celebrate our anniversary!  We had a great time!

Today I wanted to share with you the flowers that I made for my Queens of the Quarter last quarter.  I make paper flowers each quarter to recognize my top team members.  Here is what I made last quarter:

 I loved the way these flowers turned out!  This was a flower that I saw at the Spring Into Stamping event that I attended earlier this year.  Here is how I made it:

 And it was all made a ton easier thanks to my Stampin' Up! Fringe Scissors! 

If you have any other ideas for different or unusual paper flowers, I'm always looking for new ideas!  I'd love to see what you have!

New Catalog Premiere

Hello Stampers!  Last week I held my New Catalog Premiere for the new Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  I had all of my retured product out for sale and however much they spent on retired product, they got an equal amout for FREE from the new catalog! 

I also had two make n' takes for my guests to make.

For this card we used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (w-130514 c-130517) on the background.  The flower is from the Petite Petals stamp set (w-133152 c-133155) and the leaf is from the Bird Builder punch (117191).

 

For this card we used the Work of Art stamp set (w-134111 c-134114) and the butterfly punches.  This card also uses two of the new in-colors, Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey!  Love them together!

I had a free gift for everyone who attended my New Catalog Premiere.

I made in-color bookmarks for everyone!  These were super simple to put together.  I made my template in My Digital Studio and then just printed them out.  I stamped the color splotches using the Work of Art stamp set.  The tops of the bookmarks were punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch (133324) and the bottoms were fringed with the Fringe Scissors (133325).

Happy Anniversary to me!

Hello Stampers!  Today is my 25th wedding anniversary!  Our silver anniversary!  I decided to get sentimental and pull out my wedding album!  My what babies we were!  I was 21 when I got married and my hubby was 23.

Of course, I had to make my hubby a card!  Want to see it???

I am loving the decorative masks in the new catalog!  Check them out on page 205 of the catalog.  This one is from the Hearts & Stars set (133777).  The templates are 8" X 8" and you get two of them in a package.  There are two different packages to choose from.  I just laid the template over my cardstock and sponged it with a sponge dauber and my stamp pad.  Super easy!  I have used them on several cards so far!

The sentiment is from the Yippee-Skippee stamp set (w-131341 c-131344) and of course I used the Hearts Collection framelits (125599) to cut my two hearts.

I can't show you the inside of card because of all of the gushy stuff I wrote!

In-color chart

Hello Stampers!  Have you had a chance to check out the new in-colors from Stampin' Up! this year?  They are really great!  And I love the names that Stampin' Up! comes up with to name them all!  This year we have Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, and Blackberry Bliss.  We recently made color charts at one of our downline meetings.  Here is what I came up with for them:

I made up the charts using My Digital Studio, then took the cardstock to the meeting and let them all punch away!  Then we adhered the circles to our charts. 

It really is a great way to see how the new colors compare to some of Stampin' Up!'s current colors.

June Scrapbook Class

Hello Stampers!  Today I wanted to show you the scrapbook pages that we will be making in this month's scrapbook class.

I love the new stamp set, Work of Art (w-134111 c-134114).  I have used this stamp set to make tons of cards and scrapbook pages!  And just think, I got this set for FREE for attending the New Catalog Premiere! 

This layout also uses the On FIlm framelits (132969).  They are really fun!  I love the little camera and the polaroid frame!

I have already had one of my scrapbook classes this month, but I've still got one more to go.

June kid's stamp class

Hello Stampers!  It's summer time, so that means it's time for my kid's summer stamp classes!  I actually have been holding them year round, but they are during the day for those kid's who are home schooled. 

Here are the projects that we will be making at this month's class:

 For this cute card, we will get to play with the new fringe scissors!  Love them!

 The kid's saw this card at a class a couple of month's ago, and they all wanted to make it, so this month we are making a similar card.  This card was actually a swap that I received.

 Finally they will be making this fun little pouch.  This is what one side looks like, and the other side will have their initial.

This month's class will be this Thursday, June 12th at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Arnold.  Everyone is welcome, even if you are not a member there.  The cost of this class is $12 and includes everything needed to complete these three projects.  Please RSVP!

I will be holding a kid's class every month this summer.  I would love to have your child or grandchild join us!  They just have to be at least 8 years old to attend!  Let me know if you have any questions!

 

 

June card class

Hello Stampers!  This morning was my first card class for the month!  Want to see the cards we are making this month?

May My Paper Pumpkin kit
