End of year teacher gifts

Hello Stampers!  Well, yesterday was the last day of school for my youngest.  She is officially a high school senior!  Where did the time go?

Every year I like to make end of the year gifts for the teachers. When I attended the Stampin' Up! New Catalog Premiere last month, they showed a cute pouch that I knew I was going to make for the teachers!  Luckily, they recorded the premiere and I was able to watch it again after I got home so that I could see the directions and measurements again!  Super easy!

Here's an upclose pic of the bag:

You need a piece of 6 1/2 X 4 1/2 piece of designer series paper, which happens to be the exact size in our Fresh Prints designer series paper stack from the Occasions catalog!

On the long side, score it at 1", 1 1/2", 2", 4", 4 1/2", and 5".

Fold on the score lines to form a pouch.  Make sure the sides are accordian folded so that you can expand the pouch and fill it.  Adhere the bottom of the pouch closed.

These pouches were really fun and easy to make!

May Kid's Class

Hello Stampers!  Every month I hold a kid's stamp class.  It is held during the day and is advertised to the home school association in the area.  Every month we made two cards and a 3D item.  Here are the cards that we made at this month's class:

 They loved making this 3D butterfly card!  So simple to make too!  All you need is three scallop circle punches (119854).  They are all three folded in half and adhered to each other.  Then adhere them to the card and they open up!  The adult card class attendees saw this card and then they begged to be able to make this card too!  How funny! 

 They seemed to really like this birthday card too.  And of course I LOVE the elephant from the Zoo Babies stamp set (w-130453 c-130456).  I don't know if you can tell it from the picture of not, but the ear has been popped up using a dimensional.  We just stamped it a second time, cut it out, and popped it up!  Super cute!

 For their 3D item this month, they got to each make a card box to keep their cards in!  They got to pick out the designer series paper that they wanted to go around the box.  They decorated them with lots of punches and other accessories they could find. 

I love teaching these kid's classes!  They are so sweet!  One of my students, Emily, even brought me a card that she made!

Next month we are hoping that more kids will be able to join us since we are on summer vacation!

Our next class will be Thursday, June 12th at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Arnold!  All are welcome to join us!  Just let me know so I have enough supplies cut!

More masculine cards

Hello Stampers!  It's time to see the rest of the masculine cards from my recent team masculine card swap.  Hope they give you some ideas for upcoming Father's Day cards!

Julie made this card.  Love the way she used the square lattice embossing folder on the crumb cake cardstock for the cup cozies.  I'm sure going to miss that embossing folder!

 This is the card that I made.  I CASE'd it from a swap that I received from the Spring Into Stamping event that I attended earlier this year.  Thought it was so cute!  Here are some of the punches that I used:

1 1/4" circle punch (119861) - whites of eyes

1" circle punch (119868) - blacks of eyes

3/4" circle punch (119873) - nose

1/2" circle punch (119869) - tongue

bird builder punch (117191) - moustache

Hello Stampers!  With Father's Day coming up soon, I thought this would be a great time to share with you some masculine cards.  Recently, my team held a masculine swap.  They could be Father's Day, birthday, or whatever, so long as they were masculine.  Here are some of what my team came up with:

Burlap Wreath

Hello Stampers!  Happy Memorial Day!  I hope that you have all had a great weekend with family and friends, while remembering those who fought to give us our freedoms!

I have to show you this gorgeous burlap wreath that one of my team members made for the door prize at our May meeting.  It was a perfect decoration for this season with Memorial and the 4th of July coming up!

 Isn't it gorgeous?  It uses several spools of burlap ribbon, on a metal wreath form.  The hearts and stars are wooden pieces that have been spritzed with our ink with alcohol.  They were then stamped with our white stamp pad.

The ribbon on the bow was also spritzed with our ink and alcohol.  How cute!

Happy baseball birthday!

Hello Stampers!  Today is my hubby's birthday!  I wanted to make him a card that hinted as to what his gift was this year!  This is what I came up with:

 Isn't that fun?  I used the oval framelits with the Big Shot to make the curved lines.  Then I used the Chevron border punch to make the stitches.  The sentiment is from the May Paper Pumpkin kit! 

So, can you figure out what I got him?  Baseball tickets!  We have a new area called Ballpark Village that has opened up just outside of our stadium.  There are places to eat, shops, and a baseball hall of fame in there.  Well, up on the roof they have seats that include an all u can eat buffet and admission into the hall of fame museum in the price!  Plus you can see right into the stadium to watch the game!  Too cool!  I'm excited to go too!

Graduation pop up card

Hello Stampers!  May is full of graduations!  We recently were invited to a party for a friend of ours.  Their daughter just graduated college!  So, of course I needed to make a card! 

I was looking for something different though.  Something that would make me go WOW!

So, of course, I turned to pinterest!  I came across this blog which gave directions for a wonderful pop up graduation card, and I knew I had to make one!

 Here is the outside of the card.  I used the Blue Ribbon stamp set.  What a great and versatile set!

But here is the inside, the part that really makes you say WOW!

 This pop up cap was super easy and make and the directions were simple to follow!  Give it a try the next time you need to make a graduation card!

May team meeting day!

Hello Stampers!  Today was my Dink It Up! monthly team meeting.  Once a quarter we have an extended craft day, and it is always so much fun!  Everybody brings an appetizer to share and we just munch and craft the day away!

I always encourage everyone to bring some items that they have been working on in the last month for our show n' tell table.  Want to see some of the items they brought this month?  I thought so!

  This card uses the silver foil sheets and the Petite Petals stamp set and coordinating punch .  Love how the foil sheets look embossed!  Just like when we used to emboss aluminum foil!

 This card uses my favorite new stamp from the upcoming new catalog, Work of Art!  It makes beautiful cards!

 This beauty of a card uses some of the retired Sale-a-bration products.

 This fancy fold card uses the Blooming With Kindness stamp set.

 This card uses the Watercolor Wonder, gold washi tape.  So pretty!

 Love the colors on this card!  They were taken from the Watercolor Wonder designer series paper in the Occasions catalog.
