Kraft Gift Boxes

Hello Stampers!  Have you ever seen the Kraft Gift Boxes (124106) on page 160 of the catalog and wondered just what to do with them?  How to decorate them?  Well, let me show you some ideas!

 Aren't they beautiful?  These were made by one of my team members, Pat.

Here is one that I made. 

 Don't you love the bow?  So simple to make!  It is just two strips of cardstock with ends adhered together to make circles, one larger than the other.  They are pinched in half and layered on top of each other.  The bottom piece with the banner ends, is just a straight piece with the ends trimmed.  I then wrapped the small strip around the middle to attach the three pieces together.  That's it!

Here is the inside of the box.

 Notice how the ribbon ends are inside the box?  I wanted it to look like the ribbon was wrapped around the box, but didn't want to have to slide it off to open up the box.  Look back at the first picture to see what I mean.

Try some of these boxes yourself!  They are super cute and perfectly hold cookies, candy, or 3 X 3 note cards!

Wreaths

Hello Stampers!  I love the look of wreaths made in many different ways!  Today I wanted to show you a few that either I, or my team, have made!

 I have made a few of these clothespin wreaths.  They are super easy to make, and don't even take a ton of time!

I even made a Patriotic one, which was raffled off at the Creative Escape last month.  Of course, I forgot to take a picture of it, but you can see it a little bit in the center of this picture.

 

Here are some different styles of wreaths too:

 This beautiful wreath was made by my team member, Lynn!  It is beautiful in person! She used the retired First Edition designer series paper and it is simply 6 X 6 and 4 X 4 squares rolled into cone shapes. 

 This fun wreath was made by my team member Alice Marie. I just love the colors in it!  And they are hard to see, but there are some punched butterflies adhered to it too.  Love it!

Convention - Final Day

Hello Stampers!  Well, it's time to tell about the final day of Convention. 

We started the morning with another general session. 

 Shelli always looks so gorgeous!  And of course, with general sessions, comes more prizes!

 We had some stamping presentations which were wonderful!  I can't wait to have some classes in the upcoming months!  And we ended with a fantastic closing session with more free gifts for everybody!  What a fantastic Convention it was this year!  Can't wait til next year!  If you want to join us for the fun, contact me and I'll tell you how you can!

Of course, all good things must come to an end!  Our evening ended with us being locked out of our hotel room from 11:30 - 1:00 a.m.!  The battery went out in our door and they had to call in the maintenance man to come fix it!  He was actually in bed when they called him!  So we had some fun together out in the hall!

It was a wonderful event and I came away again with tons of project ideas and business tips!  Now the countdown begins to my next Stampin' Up! event which will be my Getaway Weekend I earned in San Diego!

Convention Day 2

Hello Stampers!  Today I wanted to tell you about the second day of Convention!

We started off the day with a general session.  Shelli showed us lots of great stamping ideas.  Stampin' Up! gave away more prizes!

 I got to attend a special Recognition Room this year since I earned some awards!  It was a fun place!

 In the afternoon we had breakout classes we could attend.  I got tons more great stamping ideas!  I can't wait to incorporate these into some of my upcoming classes.

 There were also tons of great display boards for us to take pictures of.

That evening was the Awards Night and after party.

 There were yummy cupcakes,

 and great entertainment.

 It was a fun night for me and my team!  But a really long day! 

Convention Day 1

Hello Stampers!  Today I'm going to show you some of the highlights from the first full day of Stampin' Up! Convention 2013.

We got up this morning and went on a tour of the Stampin' Up! home office.

We had our Opening General Session on Thursday evening.  We waited in line with 6,000 of our closest friends! 

 Here are Karen and Julie, my two first time attenders!

 I received my ribbon for earning the Gateway trip to San Diego!!

 The session opened up with this guy from the Voice singing this years theme song.

 Shelli came out with her hubby, Sterling, and all of their children and grandchildren that were in attendance!

 Ronald Mc Donald came to visit and thank us for all that we have donated to Ronald Mc Donald House over the years.  Stampin' Up! has donated over 1 million over the years!

 We had the Guinness Book of World Records there as we attempted to set a world record for the most number of cards mailed from a single location.  We did it, almost 3,000 cards were mailed in a three hour period!

 After the opening Session, we had our Opening Social.  This is what our Demonstrator Resource Center looked like as we walked in!  Very beautiful!

There were tons of displays for us to see and take pictures of.

It was a fantastic day, and were were all totally exhausted at the end.  It was off to bed so we could get up the next day and start on our second full day!

Convention Travel Day

Hello Stampers!  I'm home from the 2013 Annual Stampin' Up! Convention and I have to say it was amazing! 

Wednesday was our travel day.  I went with 6 of my team members!  Here are Carol, Sarah, and Karen on the plane:

It was really fun because with 6,000 of us, we took over the Salt Lake CIty downtown area!

Convention gits!

Chalk Talk thank you card swap

Hello Stampers! Today I have another swap to show you.  This one sort of accidently came together.  I had some pieces left over from previous cards I had made, and when I put them to gether, this is what I came up with!

 I think it turned out pretty cute!  The greeting is from the Chalk Talk stamp set (w-130631 c-130634) The butterflies are made by simply layering the Bitty Butterfly punch (129406) and the Elegant Butterfly punch (127526).  Then of course you have to add the bling of the pearls (119247)!

Six-Sided Sampler Bundle card swap

Hello Stampers!  Today I have another swap to show you that I made for Convention.  This time I used yet another one of the bundles in the catalog.  The Six-Sided Sampler Bundle includes the Six-Sided Sample stamp set and the coordinating Hexagon punch (w-132725 c-132724).  When you purchase the bundle, you save 15%!

 It's a little hard to see, but the hexagon in the middle is actually popped up with a dimensional.  I used the new ribbon on this card too!  The new 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim is super cute ribbon!  This is the same ribbon that I'm doing in my current ribbon share!  You get two yards of each color for only $11!  Let me know if you want a share!

Daisy and Washi Tape swap & a Special!

Hello Stampers!  Well, today is the day that I have been waiting for for months!  I'm off to sunny Salt Lake City for the Stampin' Up! annual convention!  I just love this time of year!  While I'm gone, I will be showing you the swaps that I made to take.  I made about 200 this year.  Two of my swaps are organized swaps, which means that we have a set number of cards to make, and we have a set time and place to meet to trade our swaps!  The rest of the cards I will just randomly swap with the rest of the over 6,000 demonstrators that will be there!  Can you believe it?  Over 6,000!  Yep!  That's a bunch!
