Small Change to Snail Adhesive  July 30, 2012

We just wanted to give you a heads up that we’re switching the type of liner used in the Snail Adhesive. This new liner is tinted blue and thinner than the previous liner making the roll appear to have less adhesive. Rest assured that you’re still getting the same amount of adhesive; the only change is the liner itself due to the supplier no longer carrying the current liner.

Halloween treat bag

Hello Stampers!  Today I want to show you the super fun make n' take that Alice Marie had for us at our last group meeting!  It's too fun!

She gave us each one of the new Gusseted Cellophane bags (127850) from the Holiday mini catalog.  We stamped the image on the Top Note die (113463) cut from the new Howlstooth and Scaringbone dsp (126906) from the Holiday mini catalog.  We also stamped little images from Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set (123944) on the new 7/8" Cotton ribbon (127844) that is in the Holiday mini catalog!  LOVE it!

We filled out bags with cheese balls!  Super cute!  Thanks Alice Marie for the great make n' take!

Door prizes and shares

Hello Stampers!  I think I am finally getting back in to the swing of things since returning home from Convention!  I'm still trying to get everything unpacked and organized.  I haven't done my make n' takes yet either.  They do give us time at Convention to complete our make n' takes, but I don't like to make them then because I feel rushed and don't usually do a good job.  So as I finish them, I will show you.

Today I would like to share with you some show n' tell items from our last Dink It Up! group meeting.

This is Anne with her door prize she made.  The gals take turns creating the door prize every month.  They come up with some really awesome projects!  Anne made this notebook. 

Here is Karen with the door prize that she made for the June meeting.  She took a metal pitcher and placed cards on sticks in it!  Very cool!

Now for some of the show n' tell items that they all brought:

Alice Marie made this wonderful dry erase frame.  LOVE it!

Here are some gorgeous cards that Lynn made.

Carol made this from a jar that Sarah brought to share to the last meeting.

Lynn created this beautiful ornament.  This same ornament is on the cover of our Holiday mini catalog!  Fantastic job Lynn!

This pretty candle was made by Carol I believe.  Very pretty!

Convention Day 3

Hello Stampers!  Well, Day 3 of Stampin' Up!'s Convention 2012 wasd another fun day!  It started off with more breakout classes.

I went to I Am Making Money presented by Pam Morgan.  We learned more about Stampin' Up!'s career plan. 

I went to I Am Having Fun presented by Shannon West.  She discussed ways to make our classes fun!

The day ended with our Closing Session.  We were so sad to see it come to an end.  Sara Douglass showed fun projects using jars. 

Carrie Cudney showed us ways to make handmade flowers, both out of fabric and paper.  They were beautiful and I can't wait to make some of these!

We ended with the announcement of the dates of next years Convention and free products for all!

What a great way to end Convention 2012!

Stampin' Up! Convention Day 2

Hello Stampers!  Day 2 of Stampin' Up! Convention 2012 started with another General Session. 

Amy Schwartz showed us some awesome Halloween Thanksgiving stamped projects.  I can't wait to jump in and make some of them!

Bonnie Thurber showed us some awesome Christmas stamped projects.  Bonnie is such a hoot!

I had more breakout classes today.  One was I Am Earning an Incentive Trip presented by Karen Hauley, Jill Hilliard, Meg Holland, and Cynthia Millan.  I got some great ideas from them!

I had a class called I Am Doing Business My Way presented by Bonnie Thurber, Tami White, and Ronda Wade.  They gave some super examples of how they hold classes and clubs.  Thanks for sharing gals!

In our closing session that day Shelli stamped for us and created a gorgeous journal for us to see.

Stampin' Up! Convention Day 1

Hello Stampers!  Day 2 of Stampin' Up! Convention 2012 started with our Opening Session.  This is what we walked in to when we arrived:

Our Keynote Speaker was Jason Dorsey.  His talk was on appealing to the younger generation, generation Y.  He was very funny and informative!  I had a few breakout classes throughout the day too.

I had a class called I Am Savvy and our presenters were Donna Griffith, Meg Wheeler, Dawn Griffith, and Laura Milligan.  They were super and we learned super projects using ribbon, fabric, and kits from the catalogs!  Way to go gals!

I had a class called I Am Open For Business presented by Carrie Cudney.  She covered attracting new customers. 

I had a class called I Am Reaching Out presented by Emily Montoya.  She covered more about Generation Y.

Our day ended with another general session where we learned about the upcoming release of My Digital Studio 2.  I can't wait!

Convention highlights

Hello Stampers!  WOW!  Our first day in Salt Lake City was our registration day.  We got checked in and received these fantastic bags!

I'm not a huge yellow fan, but I love this and the Chevron design!

We got to shop at Momento Mall, where we buy our logo products.  Just look at this stash I brought home!

So cool! 

We also went to the Riverton Campus to take a tour.  This is the warehouse where they fill our orders.  What a beautiful facility!

Hello Stampers!  What a super fantastic time we had at Convention this year!  Salt Lake City was just beautiful!  I have tons to show you, so let me start by sharing this video that the Stampin' Up! employees made for our theme song!

Masculine birthday card

Hello Stampers!   Here is another swap that I made.  I usually find that the masculine cards are the first to go!

Each candle was run through the Big Shot and embossed before putting them on the card.  The flame is from the Blossom Petals Builder punch (121808).  Be sure to check back!  There are more swaps to show still!

Hello Stampers!  Besides all of the organized swaps that I signed up for, I also just make cards to swap with anyone.  This card was actually designed by my daughter Casie.  She used some of the leftover flowers from a different card.  Don't you think she did a great job?

She used the elegant lines embossing folder (119277) on the background.  The flower is the large image from Betsy's Blossoms stamp set (126004).  I love that stamp set!  It was then punched out using the Blossom punch (125603).

Quilled Christmas card

Hello Stampers!  As you are reading this, I'm at the annual Stampin' Up! Convention getting lots of ideas and inspiration!  When I return, I'll be sharing all kinds of information with you!  While I'm gone,  I'll be sharing my swaps that I'm taking with you!

I joined a WOW Christmas card swap and decided to try some quilling again!  It has been a long time since I've done this!  And it took forever to do all of the cards in my swap!!!  The designer series paper on the background is from the current catalog called Be of Good Cheer (126896).  I love this paper!
