Hello Stampers! It is all about graduation at my house this weekend! My oldest daughter, Casie, is graduating from high school today! Today I wanted to show you the graduation cards that I made this year and CASED from Mary Rindal's blog!
This is how it opens up! How fun is that???
Here is a tutorial for you:
1. Start with a 9 3/4" X 4 1/4" piece of cardstock.
2. Place it on your Simply Score and score it at 4 1/2".
3. Now place it on your diagonal Simply Score. Score it diagonally at the 2 1/8" mark. Flip the cardstock over and score the other long side at the 2 1/8" mark again.
This is what it should look like at this point.
4. Now turn the cardstock the other way on the Simply Score and score it again at the 2 1/8" mark. Again flip it over and do the other side.
This is what your cardstock will look like at this point.
6. Fold on all score lines and push sides in like the picture shows! That's it! It is very fun and easy!
For my cards, I cut a separate piece of cardstock 3" X 3". I ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder and adhered it to the top of the card. The tassel was made from a piece of frayed grosgrain ribbon.
Have fun making them and let me know if you have any questions! Come back tomorrow and see my banner and party favors!
