Hello Stampers!  Ready to see another one of the fabulous cards that we created over the weekend?

This fun card was created by Carol.  Isn't it fun?

She had the pattern for us already printed out on the designer series paper.  We just pleated our skirts, which is actually a half of a circle, and put it all together!  The designer series paper used is from the Subtles Collection Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack (117152).  I love these paper stacks!

Hello Stampers!  OMG!  I had an amazing time this weekend!  My Dink It Up! group decided we were going to hold a Spring Fling weekend!  We got the idea from my upline, Jeri, but since she is 4 hours away, we decided to hold our own here this weekend!

We all got together on Friday evening starting at 6:00.  We enjoyed dinner together and spent the evening talking and watched an old Workshop WOW DVD. 

Then on Saturday morning, we got down to business!  We ate breakfast and then held our monthly meeting.  After that we got down to stamping!  Every member was in charge of bringing two shoebox swaps, one was a stepped up card and the other was a 3D item.  My team really came through and I'm going to be showing you all of our projects in the upcoming days!

I'll start with my card.

This was actually a fun card that my mom and I made while she was staying with me over Spring Break this year.  I don't remember who's blog she got this from.  The gals loved making this card and were all surprised at how easy it was to put together!

Hybrid Graduation cards

Hello Stampers!  I have a customer who ordered several graduation cards from me recently.  And, since I have a senior this year, I figured I am going to be needing several cards too, so I sat down and cranked out several cards this week!

Now, I only have one graduation stamp set, Tassel Time, and it retired several years ago!  However, I do own My Digital Studio!!!  So I decided to download a set which I came close to ordering a couple of years ago, but didn't, Go Graduate.

Here are the hybrid cards I designed:

The feet along the bottom of the card are from My Digital Studio (118108)!  I just placed several of them on a card front and then printed them out and cut them apart.  The graduation cap is from the Tassel Time stamp set.  The school letters are from the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) and the Timeless Type alphabet die set (115951).

The Timeless Type alphabet dies are getting ready to retire, so you better hop over to my Inkin With Dink online store and order your set today before they are gone!!!

When you look at the retired accessories list, you'll note that all of our Stampin' Pads are listed. This is for two reasons: (1) Craft Stampin' Pads will now only be available in black and white; and (2) we are introducing a new Firm Foam pad in our Classic Stampin' Pads with the 2012-2013 annual catalog.

The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in turn, better stamped images.

Box pleats thank you

Hello Stampers! I have another fun card to show you today that my friend Lisa made!

She used the box pleats technique on this card.  I have seen this on other blogs before, but I've never tried it.  You need an 11" piece of designer series paper and score as follows:

1/2", 1 1/2", 2", 3", 3 1/2", 4 1/2", 5", 6", 6 1/2", 7 1/2", 8", 9", 9 1/2", 10 1/2"

Lisa also used the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) and the Flower Garden embossing folder (123113) on her card.

Give this technique a try and I'd love to see how it turns out!

Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch ice cream!

Hello Stampers!  Today I have a guest blogger joining us!  My good friend, and club member, Lisa brought over a bunch of cards the other day to show me!  I loved them and figured if I love them, my blog readers would probably love them too!  So I took pictures and will be sharing them with you over the next few days!

This was probably my favorite card!  The cones are made from the Pennant Parade stamp set (122740).  The ice cream scoops are the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch (122464)!  I love it!

See the ice cream scoop in the middle?  It is embossed with the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) and the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder (117335).  Then the dots are colored with markers!  They look like sprinkles in the ice cream!

Send Me Soaring card

Hello Stampers!  Have you had a chance to play with the Send Me Soaring stamp set (125440) from the Occasions mini catalog?  It is so fun!

I stamped the kites on scrap cardstock, cut them out, and adhered them to the card front with dimensionals.

This really is a fun stamp set to play with!  Hurry and order yours today because it will only be available through the end of this month, unless it is carried over to the new catalog!

Hearts Framelit embossed

Hello Stampers!  I'm having such a hard time getting used to the fact that some of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors are about to retire!  Who out there just LOVES Concord Crush as much as I do?  And when it is paired with Wisteria Wonder it is even better!

Are you wondering how in the world I embossed the hearts on this card? 

I have seen tutorials on how to do this embossing with the new Framlits dies, so I decided to give it a try!  Here's are the layers from the bottom up:

Multipurpose platform on tab 1

Clear standard cutting pad

cardstock shim

silicone rubber sheet (114615)

cardstock sheet to emboss

framelit die with cutting edge facing up

clear standard cutting pad

Run this through the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) and you are all set!  Isn't it beautiful?  I used the Hearts Collection Framelit die (125599) from the Occasions mini catalog.  I sure hope they carry these over into the new upcoming catalog!

Did you know that the new catalog comes out on June 1st?  As a demosntrator, I get to see it next month, and I can't wait!!!

My Digital Studio project and downloads

Hello Stampers!  It's Tuesday, so that must mean it is time for a My Digital Studio project and this week's downloads!

My daughter Casie is a senior this year, so the time is drawing near to start making graduation plans.  She wanted to use My Digital Studio to make her party invitations so that she could personalize them.  Here's what we came up with:

We used the Go Graduate Plus card template and just made some changes to it to make it our own!  We changed the colors so that it matched her school colors.  We added the flower at the top and the graduation caps by the writing.  Instead of a card, we wanted this to be just a postcard that we could fit it inside her graduation announcements, so we shrank the size and added the information.  It was really very fun and easy!
