Today was my Dink It Up group meeting!  We always have such a good time!  One of the best parts is our share time.  Everybody can bring show n' tell items that they have made to show the others.

Today Lynn brought these magnificant wreaths that she has been making for herself and her daughters.

Here is a close-up of one of the wreaths.  She wrapped 1/2" strips of designer series paper around a pencil and glued them to the wreaths!  Can you imagine the time she put into these?

Maybe I will try one in my free time!!!

Autumn Splendor card

Hello Stampers!  I had so much fun making some faux tile technique cards the other day! 

Aren't they pretty?  I started out with the large card because I just wanted to test out this technique.  Then I liked them so much that I decided to make a bunch of my customer thank you cards with the same technique!

I used the new Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334) to score my Very Vanilla piece of cardstock every 1/2".  I then lightly stamped the En Francais stamp (109521) on the background and then the Autumn Splendor stamp set (116503) on top of that.

Next I covered the entire piece with my Versamark pad (102283) and embossed it all with clear embossing powder (109130).  That is it!  Well worth the extra steps for such a cool final look!

Christmas Lane Scrappin' Kit holiday cards

Hello Stampers!  Last night was my Christmas Lane Scrappin' Kit holiday cards class.  We had a great time!

Everybody was given 1/2 of the Christmas Lane Simply Scrappin' kit, a package of jewel rhinestones, and 16 envelopes.  They were all able to walk away with 16 cards and the leftover pieces from their kit!

Everybody seemed to have fun and loved the ease of making cards with this kit!  They were even asking for more of these classes! 

Just wait until you see the new scrappin' kit in the upcoming Occasions mini catalog!  I see another upcoming class!!!  Let me know if you might be interested!

 

Thanksgiving place cards

Hello Stampers!  Every year I make Thanksgiving goodies to sit on the dinner table at everybody's place.  This year I made these cute little guys.  They have a mint pattie sandwiched in between the layers.

They were pretty simple to make, and I even made some to sell at my craft fairs this year that were before Thanksgiving.

The turkey body is a 1 3/8" circle (119860), the feathers are the scallop circle (119854), the head is a 1" circle (119868), the hat is a 3/4" X 3/4" square, the brim is from the 1" square (124094), the feet are the Boho Blossom (119858), and the waddle is the Heart to Heart (119881).

Happy Birthday Amie!

Hello Stampers!  Today is my daughter Amie's 15th birthday!  Yep, tomorrow she is going to take her test for her driving permit!  I'm still trying to get used to the fact that my oldest daughter can drive!

This is the card that I made for her.  I knew as soon as I saw this fun individual stamp in the new catalog that I had to have it!  Amie just loves elephants and this is one of the a la carte stamps for only $9.95!  What a deal!  It is called Elebration (121175).  I paper pieced the balloon and colored in the elephant with stampin' write markers.

Instead of a cake, Amie wanted cupcakes this year.  She found a recipe for Snickerdoodle cupcakes, which is her favorite kind of cookie, so she decided that is what she wanted to try.  Here they are, but they needed some color so I made these super cute cupcake toppers!  This cute little elephant is the baby elephant from the Baby Steps stamp set in last years catalog.  It was an a la carte stamp too!  I simply colored in the baby elephant with a marker and punched them out!  The toothpick is sandwiched in the middle of two scallop circles.  So easy!

Build-a-bear Coloring Tins

Hello Stampers!  I have a couple more craft fairs this fall, so I'm still making fun items to sell.

I decided to make these Build-a-bear coloring tins.  These are the tins that were on the clearance rack a few months ago.  They were the tins that held the big flower stickers a couple of years ago.

On the inside I included a small box of crayons and several stamped images for the kids to color.  I used the Beary Best Friends stamp set (118052) and the Family Accessories stamp set (113494). 

I used my Crop-a-Dile (108362) to punch holes in the tin to add a ribbon handle.

My remaining craft fairs are DeSmet Mother's Mass on December 1st and Oakville High School on December 3rd and 4th.  Hope to see you at one of them!
