Penguin Happy Birthday card

Hello Stampers!  Well, I am finally home from vacation!  I love to go away, but it always feels so good to get back home!

Happy Birthday to my oldest daughter Casie today!  She kept saying she couldn't wait until today because it would be so neat to be able to tell people she was 17 years old!  I don't think it is neat, it makes me feel old! 

Well, Happy Birthday anyway dear!  Wanna see the card I made her?  Remember that she is the one that LOVES penguins!  So here it is:

 Too fun huh?  It is so easy to make this penguin using the two-step owl punch (118074)!  I used a circle punch (119873) for the balloons and the birthday hat is one leg from the large star punch (119875) with a small circle punch (118309) on top! 

The designer series paper is retired and I used the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder (117335) with my Big Shot Die-Cut Machine 113439).

The 2 3/8" scallop circle punch (118874) fits perfectly on this card behind the penguin!

Blossom Bouquet triple layer punch card

Hello Stampers!  Have you seen or played with the new triple layer punches in the Summer mini catalog?  They are fabulous and so fun to use!

 This is a card that we made at last month's card classes where we will be using the new Blossom Bouquet triple layer punch (122464). 

The flower stems are stamped with the Bold Blossom stamp set (123232).  This great set was in the Occasions mini catalog and is again in the Summer mini catalog.

The background of the card is Concord Crush designer series paper from the paper pack that is the Level 1 hostess set (121028). 

The ribbon is my favorite ribbon right now, the Concord Crush 1/2" Stitched-poly ribbon (119266).  And this ribbon isn't on the retiring list!  I'm so excited!

Manly Man punch wrench card

Hello Stampers!  A couple of weeks ago I held a Manly Man class.  We learned several techniques to use when making masculine cards. 

 This is one of the cards that we made using the embossed aluminum foil technique again.  The wrench was made using several punches with the brushed silver cardstock (100712). 

I won't show any other cards that we made in that class so that they are exclusive to my class attendees.  I do have kits available from this class still if anyone is interested.  The kits are $25 for all of the supplies and instructions to make four cards.  Contact me today if you are interested!

 

Loads of Love masculine birthday card

Hello Stampers!  I am really having a fun time making masculine cards with the aluminum foil technique!  It is easy to do and gives such a WOW!

 This is the latest card that I made.  I embossed the foil using one of our texturz plates, the Perfect Details plate (115962), run through the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439).  Doesn't it give it such a nice metalic look?  I used the stamp sets Loads of Love (115022) and Loads of Love Accessories (115024).  They are such fun sets to use!

Behind the greeting in the top right corner, I used the Extra Large Star punch (119875).  This punch will retire at the end of this month, so hop over to my Inkin With Dink online store and order yours today!

 

Strength & Hope card

Hello Stampers!  I love the fact that Stampin' Up! is such a giving company and they perform charitable deeds.  There is a stamp set in the Summer mini catalog now called Strength & Hope (118100).  Stampin' Up! will donate $2 from each purchased set to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

To help with this, they made this stamp set so beautiful that everyone will want to have this set in their collection!

 This is the card that we made in last month's card class.  I found this card on someone's blog and knew I had to make this card in my class!  I think it is so pretty!

The card base is Crumb Cake cardstock.  The designer series paper is Rose Red from the Brights patterns designer series paper stack (117155). 

The ribbon on the card is Crumb Cake seam binding (122332).  This ribbon was in the Occasions mini catalog, but is still available to purchase.  If you have never used the seam binding before, you have to give it a try!  It is the perfect weight and it ties so easily!  It's great!

The butterfly was stamped in Rose Red and cut out and attached to the card using dimensionals.

Take A Spin birthday card

Hello Stampers!  Have you made a card yet with the Game Spinner hands that were available in the Occasions mini catalog?  They are really fun and easy to use.

 We made this card in one of my past monthly card classes.  The Daffodil Delight piece was run through the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) with the Perfect Polka-dot embossing folder (117335).

Button flowers card

Hello Stampers!  Have you seen these cards that are make using buttons as flowers?

 This was a card that we made in my April card class.  The buttons are actually from the free Sale-A-Bration package, but the buttons are the same size and shape that come in our designer button packs.  Check out page 186 of the current Catalog & Idea book.

The stems and grass are just strips of Certainly Celery cardstock.  The leaves are the flame from the Build-A-Cupcake punch (121807).  This punch was introduced in the Occasions mini catalog, but it is still available to purchase even though it is not in the current catalog.

The buttons were attached with mini glue dots (103683). 

What do you think about the clouds?  Can you tell what they are?  They are made from the top of the cupcake from the Build-A-Cupcake punch also!  That punch is so versatile!!

Awash With Flowers thank you card

Hello Stampers!  I have seen so many beautiful cards out there made using the stamp set Awash With Flowers (117062).

 I found this on somebody's blog, sorry, but I don't remember whos blog!  I LOVED that card and I totally CASE'd it!  The actual flower was stamped on a separate piece of cardstock and cut out.  It was then adhered to the card with dimensionals.

The circle around the flower was achieved by sponging.  I punched a 1 3/4" circle out of a piece of cardstock.  I used the negative as a mask to sponge the circle. 

The sentiment is from the Thank You Kindly stamp set (111700).

Best Dad Ever & On The Green cards

Hello Stampers!  Since Father's Day is this month, we made a Father's Day card in last month's card class. 

 I actually gave my customers a choice on if they wanted to make this card using the On the Green stamp set (117139) from the a la carte section of the catalog, or....

 if they wanted to make this card using the new Best Dad Ever stamp set (120399) from the Summer mini catalog.

The first card is similar to a card I saw on Ronda's blog.  I loved the way she layered the punches with the ribbon!  I knew that not everyone had a father that played golf though, so I used the same layout with the Best Dad Ever stamp set for anyone else. 

If you love the On the Green stamp set, it will be retiring soon, so you need to get yours ordered before the end of this month!

If you love the Best Dad Ever stamp set, you have until the end of August to purchase it.

Father's Day candy holder

Hello Stampers!  Today I wanted to show you a really cute candy holder that we made in my kid's class in April.  The class focused on Mother's Day and Father's Day projects.

 Isn't this adorable?  I got this pattern from Sharon's blog.  We started off with a long rectangle of designer series paper.  We cut in on both sides down on one end and folded it down to form the collar.  The tie is from the stamp set Best Dad Ever (120399) in the Summer mini catalog.  This set will be carried over into the next catalog.  The pocket is made from one of the tie's that was stamped but with the bottom cut off.

 Here is a side view to show you how it was folded to hold a small bag of candy pieces.  Too fun!

Totally Tool aluminum foil Father's Day card

Hello Stampers!  Father's Day is almost here!  Have you made your cards yet? 

 This fun card is one that we made at my kid's class in April.  The kids loved working with the aluminum foil!

We started off with a piece of cardstock and a bigger piece of aluminum foil.  We wrapped the foil around the cardstock and taped the edges down to the back side.  We then ran the cardstock through the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) with the Square Lattice embossing folder (119976). 

The stamp set we used on this card was the Totally Tool stamp set (113256).  I love this stamp set and I'm so glad that it isn't retiring!!!

Stampin' Around Cupcakes card

Hello Stampers!  Yesturday was my Dink It Up! group meeting.  They had requested that we make a card using a stampin' around wheel. 

 This is the card that we made.  The wheel we used is called cupcakes (113121).  We colored the images in using the Watercolor Pencils (101879) and Blender Pens (102845).

As a challenge, I sent them all home with an additional wheeled image and they will come back next month using this on a completed card.  I'll show you what they come up with!

Beautiful Wings birthday card

Hello Stampers!  I had a Stamping 101 class a couple of weeks ago and one of the items that we made was a Beautiful Wings embosslit die (118138) card. 

 Isn't it pretty?  They ran the die through the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) with both Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight cardstock and had all of the butterflies to put on their cards the way they wanted to!  They were so creative and we had all sorts of arrangements!

We also used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (117335) for the background Whisper White piece.  We used the Scallop Rectangle clearlit die (118872) for the piece behind the butterflies.
