Inlaid embossing Love Impressions Valentine's Day card and video

Hello Stampers!  Don't you love the title of this post?  What does it mean???

I have showed you several cards where I did the faux designer series paper for the background.  Now I have seen it several times called Inlaid Embossing.  So I have called it that too!  In this post, I'm going to tell you the supplies that I used for this card, then I'm going to do a video showing the technique for the background.

 This is another card that I made with the free Love Impressions rub-ons (121886) that Stampin' Up! gave us in our first order last month!  They have been so much fun to play with!

The hot air balloon is layered on the 1 3/4" Circle punch (119850) which is layered on a 2" Circle cut from the Circles #2 die (114526) cut with the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439).  This is then layered on the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch (118874).

The sentiment is also in the rub-on package.  It was punched out with the Modern Label punch (119849) and layered on the 1 1/4" circle punch (119861) which is layered on the Scallop Oval punch (119856).

The background is simply a piece of Pretty In Pink cardstock with hearts adhered on that have been punched from the Heart small punch (117193).  It was then run through the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) with the Perfect Polka-Dot embossing folder (117335).  Watch the video for step-by-step instructions.

Build a Cupcake scrapbook page

Hello Stampers!  This is the second scrapbook kit that I will have available this month.

 I just LOVE the new Build a Cupcake punch (121807)!  It is so fun and easy!

I punched the bottom of the cupcakes from Chocolate Chip cardstock and ran them through my Crimper (101618).  The tops are punched from my favorite designer series paper, Sweet & Sour Specialty (117390).  I have just been waiting for the perfect scrapbook page for this paper, and I found it!

I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon punch (119275) and the Scallop Trim Border punch (118402).

I left the title off of this page so that you can personalize it.

On a personal note, we got another 4 - 5 " of snow this weekend.  Much better to play in than 4 - 5" of ice and sleet!

Love Impressions Valentine's Scrapbook page

Hello Stampers!  I've decided to bring back my scrapbook classes every month.  I had stopped having them, but have decided to start them up again so that it keeps me scrapbooking.  What I'm going to do is design two 12 X 12 scrapbook spreads each month.  You can purchase the kit for $10 each and either do them here during my cropping nights or take them home and do them anytime.  My crop nights this month are Friday, February 11th and Friday, February 25th.  Please RSVP if you want to attend!

The kits will include everything you need to complete your two page - 12 X 12 spread.

 For this spread I used the new Love Impressions specialty designer series paper (121780) in the Occasions mini catalog.  I also punched small hearts from the new Glimmer paper (121790), LOVE that paper!

The punches I used were the Full Heart punch (119883), Heart to Heart punch (119881), and the Small Heart punch (117193).

For the title I used my Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) and the Serif Essentials Alphabet (113464).

I also used some of my retired cordoroy buttons.  I was so sad to see them go.  You can still get them in some of the colors if you hop on over to my Inkin With Dink website and click on the SHOP NOW in the top right.  Then go to the Clearance Rack.

On a personal note, I wanted to show you the cupcakes that Amie and I decorated while they were home from school last week.  I told Amie she couldn't decorate anything wintery because I am sick and tired of winter, ice, and snow! 

  Aren't they adorable?  Can you tell they are ladybugs?  They just make me smile!

 

Two-step Owls in Silhouette Valentine's Day card

Hello Stampers!  Want to see the Valentine's Day card that I made for my sweetie?

 This is sort of a combination of several different cards that I have seen.  I love the idea of the owls in silhouette, so I thought they needed a big moon to sit in front and a branch to sit upon.  Just ignore the fact that my branches are hanging in mid air!!!

The owls of course are punched using the Two-step owl punch (118074) and the branches are from the Two-step bird punch (117191).  The moon is punched from the new 2 1/2" circle punch (120906) from the Occasions mini catalog.

And I LOVE the glimmer paper (121790) hearts above my owls!  They were punched out with the heart small punch (117193).

On a personal note, I wanted to show you a pic of my youngest daughter, Amie, in her school play a couple of weeks ago.

 She was one of the narrators, so her and the girls in the orange and blue tops, were on the stage almost the entire play!  It was a really cute play.

 

Create a Cupcake gift card

Hello Stampers!  This is the other project that we made at Alice Marie's party last week.

 I just love this Create a Cupcake stamp set (121915) and the coordinating Build a Cupcake punch (121807).  It makes the cutest projects! 

The icing on the cupcake has been heat embossed.  We stamped the icing in Versamark (102283) and sprinkled with white emboss powder (109132) and heat set.  We then punched it out with the punch.

The cupcake was layered on the Large tag punch (119876) and then layered on the Extra Large tag punch (119866).

I think the one thing that made this card was the cherry on top!  It was punched out with the cupcake punch using the new Glimmer paper (121790)!  See, this paper isn't just for Valentine's day projects!  I'm going to have to stock up on this before it is gone from the Occasions mini catalog!

Springtime Vintage fabric broach

Hello stampers!  Look at this gorgeous broach that we made at Leadership as part of our make n' takes!

 Don't you just love it!!!  Want to know how we made them?  Then I'll tell you!

First we took our fabric flowers that had been cut out with the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) using the new Fun Flowers die (121812).  We sprayed them lightly with spray starch and let them dry.  We hot glued them together mixing in some First Edition designer series paper (121878) flowers, Taffeta ribbon, and Victoria crochet trim lace (118481).

Our top layer is the butterfly stamped from the Clearly for You stamp set (121911) and adhered to the back of one of the new Beveled Windowpanes (121881).  We used some Very Vanilla 1/2" Seam Binding ribbon (120999) and Very Vanilla 1/8" Taffeta ribbon (119960) and tied on one of the new Trinket Keys (121892). 

Don't you think it turned out so cute???  It will look great on a bag or jacket!

Now on a personal note, the girls were home from school yet again today!  All this dang ice just will not melt!  I did notice that they were clearing the school parking lots today so my guess is they will be back tomorrow!  I sure hope so, we are going to all get fat here!  So far we made homemade cookies on Tuesday, brownies on Wednesday, and today we made home made cinnamon rolls and cupcakes!  Don't these cinnamon rolls look heavenly?

Greeting Card Kids Valentine's card

Hello Stampers!  Well, we have a really icy day going on here in St. Louis.  The kids were off school today and we got about 4" of sleet.  We were supposed to get 8 - 10" of snow too, but believe it or not, we never got a flake!  They certainly messed that forecast up!

Anyway, the girls and I baked cookies and watched movies today.  I did have some free time to stamp some cards too though!  My day just never seems complete unless I've had some stamping time!

I wanted to show you the Valentine's Day card that we made at Alice Marie's party on Sunday.

 Isn't this set just adorable?  I just love these little kids from the Greeting Card Kids stamp set (119887)!  We made this card because Alice Marie said she wanted a Valentine's Day card and she wanted to learn how to use Watercolor Pencils (101879) and Blender pens (102845).  I love using these tools!  They are so fun and really give a WOW!

The little girl was punched out using the 2 1/2" Circle punch (120906).  She is matted on the larger scallop circle from the Scallop Circle #2 die (113469) which was then run through the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) with the Perfect Polka-Dot Embossing Folder (117335).

The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (115370).

Can you see the little cutie embellishment that we put on her hair bow?  It is one of the Basic Pearls pack (119247).  They are wonderful and you get 150 pearls!
