Mini Milk Carton door prize

Hello Stampers!  This afternoon was Alice Marie's workshop.  Hi Alice Marie!  She is one of my new downline and I did her first workshop for her.  We had a great time!  I couldn't wait to get home and show you what I made for the door prize gifts!

 Isn't this fun?  I used the Mini Milk Carton die (117310) with the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439).  I just love making these!

The stamp set I used was Got Treats (119114).  I colored in the stamp with my markers so that I could make the words different colors.  I punched it out with the scallop square punch (119884).

The flower is from the Boho Blossoms punch (119858) with a small Basic Rhinestone (119246) in the middle!  Isn't it cute?  My carton is held closed with one of the Mini Library clips (109857), they are so cute! 

I also usd the Sweet & Sour specialty designer series paper (117390) on the top of the cartons, for the strip around the middle of the carton, and to punch out the flower.

My Digital Studio hybrid card

Hello Stampers!  It's time for another make n' take from Leadership!  One of the classes that we could sign up and take was a My Digital Studio class.  We brought out laptops along and made a card together as a class.  Then, in our make n' take package, they had one of the cards printed out for us!  How cool is that???

 So, this is the card that we made with our My Digital Studio software (118108) and we simply tied ribbon around the card!  It's that easy!  I do like these hybrid cards because of the ease, plus you could make a lot of cards fairly quickly.  But I do think you need to add something of your own once it has been printed out.  There is just something about being able to touch a piece of ribbon, a button, or a brad!

Why Should I Become A Demonstrator?

Hello Stampers!  Have you ever asked yourself this question?  Why should I become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator?

If you have ever asked me this question, I'm sure I went on and on about all of the great reasons to become a demonstrator!  I LOVE being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!  One of the reasons I love it so is all of the free items that we have the chance to receive!

 This was one of the surprises that I received last month.  Stampin' Up! just decided to give us all a free package of some of the Love Impressions rub-ons (121886) that are in the new Occasions mini catalog!  How great is that?

Now I have to admit that rub-ons are not usually on the top of my favorite embellishments list!  I hardly ever use them!  But when it came free, I thought "What the heck!  I'll give them a try!"  I have been having a blast with them!  And they couldn't be easier to use (unless of course the dog jumps into your lap and hits your arm as you are rubbing the rub-ons, as you can tell happened on my bottom cloud)!

Here is the first card that I made with them:

 I of course had to make the card Real Red and Pretty In Pink!  I also felt it needed some prettiness (is that even a word?), so I used my Eyelet Border punch (119853) and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (117335) with my Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439).

Clearly For You card

Hello Stampers!  Want to see another one of our Make n' Takes from Leadership?  Here you go!

 This is a card that we made using the stamp set Clearly for You (121911) that is in the Occasions mini catalog.  I love the look of this card!

Don't you love the way we crimpped the bottom front of the card!  Every once in awhile I forget about that wonderful tool, The Crimper(101618), but then I pull it out again and have a blast with it!

We also used the new 2 1/2" circle punch (120906) and the Fancy Flower punch (118073).  Notice the cute little butterfly in the center of the flower?  It was stamped on white cardstock and cut out and adhered to the center of the flower.  Can you see how the butterfly wings are more reddish in color and the rest of the butterfly is yellowish?  This was an easy little trick we did where we inked the stamp up with More Mustard first and then colored the edges of the wings with the Cherry Cobbler marker!  Too cool!

Stamp Case Notebook holder

Hello Stampers!  I wanted to show you another one of the Make n' Takes that we made at Leadership this year.  Is it not the coolest thing?  What is it you ask?

 This is a notebook holder that has been made out of one of the Clear-Mount Stamp Cases (119105).  I'm really thinking about making these for roomie gifts for Convention this year!

Stampin' Up! sells these cases and they are four for $4.95.  What a deal!  You can put a small notebook in them after you have had some cut off of the bottom.  I also thought it would be neat to put a small pen in it.

To decorate these we used the Botanical Gazette designer series paper (121783) and the Clearly for You stamp set (121911).  You can easily slip the paper inside from the top. 

We tied the ribbon around from the inside and hung one of the fun, new, cute Trinket Keys (121892) from the Occasions mini catalog on the ribbon.  Too cute!

On a personal note, I have a funny story to share with you that happened at preschool today!  These kids always make me laugh!  We were making octopus pictures for art and one little boy asked what the things were hanging down.  I told him that they were his tentacles or his arms.  He said "oh, alright" and he proceeded to start coloring the tips of them pink.  I asked him what he was doing and he said "this is his pail nolish!"  I asked " do you mean nail polish?" and he replied "yes, his pail nolish!" Now I just wonder how many octopi he has seen wearing nail polish?????

Simply Adorned inserts

Hello Stampers!  Have you had a chance to check out the fantastic jewelry that Stampin' Up! carries?  They call it Simply Adorned and it can be found on page 189 of the catalog.  It is so much fun!  They sell the chains for both necklaces and bracelets, as well as charms for you to make inserts for to put on these chains!  How fun is that?  I bought both a bracelet and necklace some time ago, and I have just been looking at them wondering how I wanted to make my inserts for them!  Well, I finally got help!

At Leadership last week, some of our make n' takes were inserts for the charms!

We got the 34" chain (116853) with the 1 1/2" X 2" charm (116799).  Shelli told us how she likes to hook the bracelet across her chain so that the charm doesn't hang down quite so low.  I thought this was a great idea, so I came home and hooked my bracelet on my new chain!  And I LOVE it!

 This is one of the inserts we made at our make n' takes.  We were also given some ribbon and baubles to attach to our chain.

 This is the back side of the insert.  We used the new stamp set we were given called Clearly for You (121911) that is in the Occasions mini catalog.  We also used the First Edition specialty designer series paper (121878) and the Red Glimmer Paper (121790).  I LOVE the new Glimmer paper!  You have got to check it out!

 We also made these two other sets of inserts.  The insert on the left side is the front and the insert on the right is for the back.

The top insert uses the same Clearly For You stamp set (121911) and the Chantilly crochet trim (118480).  The bottom insert uses the same stamp set along with the Broadsheet Alphabet (118724) stamp set and the Springtime Vintage designer series paper (121782).

Free Stuff Galore!

Hello Stampers!  Well I'm back from Leadership, and boy did I have a great time!  Just look at all of the free stuff I got!!!

 I got stamp sets, fabric, buttons, trinkets, glitter, digital downloads, brads, and glitter paper!  WOW!  I also got tons of ideas and business building tips!  It was wonderful!

I took over 250 pictures, some of which I will be sharing with you over the next few weeks.  The make n' takes that we had were awesome!  I can't wait to show you those too!

Create A Cupcake card

Hello Stampers!  This is another one of the cards that I took for swap to Leadership.  This was part of a full card swap that I got into at a special dinner I attended with my upline.  We were to make full cards and use new products from the Occasions mini catalog or the upcoming Sale-A-Bration catalog.

 This is the card that I made using the new Create a Cupcake stamp set (121915) and the Build a Cupcake punch (121807), both from the new Occasions mini catalog!  If you don't own these two things yet, you have got to get them!  They are so much fun!

For the background, I used my favorite technique of the faux designer series paper.  I punched out circles from Whisper White cardstock and Chocolate Chip cardstock and adhered them to my Pretty In Pink cardstock.  I then ran this piece through my Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) and the Square Lattice embossing folder (119976). 

The sentiment is also from the new Create a Cupcake stamp set.  My cupcake was very easily put together since I just punched the pieces out of my cardstock and adhered them together!

Bubble technique

Hello Stampers!  I wanted to show you another one of my swaps for Leadership.

 Isn't this card fun?  It uses a fun technique that I had never tried before, the Bubble technique!  Here's how to do it.

You can use a bubble mixture, like kid's bubble solution, but since I didn't have any, I made my own.  I just took a little bit of water in a flat dish and added quite a bit of Dawn dishwashing liquid.  I mixed in several drops of Melon Mambo ink.  I got my youngest daughter, Amie, and gave her a straw and told her to start blowing!  As the bubbles would build up, I would place a piece of cardstock over them and let them pop on the cardstock, this is the design that they left! 

My cardstock would curl some from being wet, but it flattened out pretty easily after it had dried. 

The stamp set I used was A Good Egg (114974).  I love that stamp set!  I will be so sad to see it go when it retires.  I used the Dotted Scallop Border punch (119275) on the Daffodil Delight cardstock.

The designer series paper that I paper pieced on my chick eggs is from the Sweet & Sour Specialty designer series paper (117390).  I love the colors in this dsp, Rose Red and Pumpkin Pie.

Totally Tool leadership swap

Hello Stampers!  Well, I'm today is my first day of Leadership!  This is like a mini convention for Stampin' Up! demonstrators who have a downline.  It is a wonderful time and they really focus the classes on building our business!  I LOVE attending!

We bring swaps to Leadership just like Convention, only maybe not quite as many.  Want to see one of mine?

 I like to do at least one of my swaps as a masculine card.  There never seems to be many of them and they go fast!  For this card I used the stamp set Totally Tool (113256).  Do you like the duct tape Top Note?  I simply took a piece of 5" X 4" white cardstock and covered it with duct tape.  I then ran this through the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113429) with my Top Note die (113463).  I love the way it turned out!

My sign is just a piece of Soft Suede cardstock that I stamped with the Woodgrain stamp (117100).  It is hung with Linen Thread (104199) and help up with a silver brad (104336).
