All Snowmen Class

Hello Stampers!  I have a class coming up on Tuesday, December 7th at 6:30 p.m. called my All Snowmen Class!  If you love snowmen, you won't want to miss it!

We will be making four different items, a snowman hot chocolate holder, a snowman paper lantern, a snowman  box, and a snowman card.

 Aren't they cute???  The cost of the class is $25.  Please bring your own adhesive!  Can't make it to class?  You can purchase the snowman kit for $25 plus shipping if needed.  I will include a pdf with complete instructions and pictures.

Recycled Snowman card

Hello Stampers!  Well, the Thanksgiving holiday is now behind us, and it is time to look forward to Christmas!  I just LOVE Christmas!   Did you know that November 15th was America Recycles Day?  To celebrate the day, I made a card using scrap pieces of designer series paper.

 What do you think?  Isn't it cute?  The scrap designer series paper is from the Candy Cane Christmas designer series paper pack (120809).  I love the paper and the way two of the designs have red glitter on the page.  Too fun!

The snowman stamp is from the Tags til Christmas stamp set (120847).  This image actually has a to: and from: on the stamp, but to avoid stamping this I just colored the part of the image that I wanted stamped with a Baja Breeze stampin' write marker (120965). 

I of course had to use my Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) on the card too!  I used the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder (117335) to emboss the white background piece.  It is amazing what a little embossing can do to a card!

Did you notice the fun little Silver Tinsel Trim (120994) on the card?  You can find this in the Holiday mini catalog.  It is so easy to work with because it has a thin piece of wire running through the middle.

I am thankful for having my own stamping business because it allows me the flexibility to share my love of stamping and papercrafting with others while bringing in some extra income.

I am thankful for having an extra income because it allows me to travel to Salt Lake City for Convention every year, to travel to various places for Leadership every year, to buy myself fun items like a new laptop, and to have a constant supply of stamps, cardstock, punches, and accessories for my own use!

Tiger Magnet Board

Hello Stampers!  You have got to see this really fun magnet board that I made up to sell at my craft fair in December.  The school that I will be at has a mascot of a tiger, so I made tiger magnet boards!

 Aren't they fun?  Did you guess that the school colors are black and gold?  It is sort of hard to see, but the black circles are the Pawsitively Embosslit die (117983).  They are embossed on black cardstock and then I sponged them with White ink so that they would stand out. 

For the board, I used Step flashing which can be found at the hardware store and it actually comes in these 5" X 7" pieces.  I covered the front side with a piece of retired designer series paper.  I covered the corners with punched out pieces from the Photo Corners punch (119878) to keep them from being so sharp and pointy. 

The ribbon I used is Basic Black 5/8" Grosgrain ribbon (115605).  I was able to punch holes in my flashing easily using my Crop-A-Dile (108362).

Birthday cake

Hello Stampers!  OK, no cards to show you today, but I did want to show you the cute cake that my daughter Casie decorated for my daughter Amie's birthday.

 Is that not the cutest thing you have ever seen?  I have mentioned to you that Amie loves elephants and her favorite color is blue, so it doesn't get better than this for her!

Today was the last of my Christmas card classes.  I will start sharing with you the cards that we made in them soon.

 

Baby Steps Birthday card

Hello Stampers!  Happy Birthday to my daughter Amie!  I can't believe that she is 14 today!  I'm sitting here typing this post and listening to 17 very loud teenage girls in my basement!  Amie decided for her party she wanted to have all of her friends over and do a fire pit and make banana boats and s'mores.  They sound like they are having a really good time!

I knew as soon as I saw the new single stamp in the catalog, Baby Steps (117092), that I was going to have to buy it for Amie's birthday card!  She absolutely LOVES elephants!  Here is the card that I came up with.

 Of course, I had to make it blue, since that is her favorite color!  Don't you love the Bitty Buttons (118761) across the top of the card?  I love how I can make them any color I want, to coordinate with any project, just by using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309) to punch out cardstock and adhering it to the back of the buttons.  The buttons are adhered to the card using mini glue dots.

The ribbon is the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Night of Navy (119258).

On a personal note, I just wanted to show a birthday pic of my girl celebrating her day today!  I always let my girls say what they want to do on their special day to celebrate, and Amie said that she wanted to go get pedicures together (that's my girl!).  So here she is! 

 She didn't have her nails painted yet for this pic, but can you believe she had her toenails painted blue???
