Hello Stampers!  I hope you have all had a Happy Halloween!  I have to show you a cute Halloween card that I sat down and made today on My Digital Studio.  I just don't seem to get as much of a chance to play with my MDS program as I would like to!

 Isn't this a fun card?  It didn't take me 5 minutes to finish this card!  How great is that???

Owl Window card

Hello Stampers!  A friend of mine (Hi Cindy!) pointed out the cutest card to me that she saw on SCS.  I knew I had to make one myself!

 Isn't this fun?  It just seems neverending the things you can do with the wonderful Two-step Owl punch (118074)!

My window frame is a  piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  I stamped it with my Woodgrain background stamp (117100) and then I used my 1 1/4" square punch (119865) to punch out the four windows.  The moon is the 1 3/4" Circle punch (119850) that was sponged with Pumpkin Pie stamp pad. 

Then of course I added my cutie owl behind the window before I adhered it to the card front.

Milk carton ghosts!

Hello Stampers!  Wanna see the cute gift I made for my good friend Alene for Halloween?  I can show you now since I gave it to her today!

 Isn't this fun?  I have seen the ghost milk cartons separately, but I thought a couple of them needed to be in a carrier together!

 Here is a side view so you can see the carrier better.

For the ghosts I used the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) with the Mini Milk Carton die (117310).  I used the 1/2" circle punch (119869) for the eyes and the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack (118309) for the pupil and mouth.

The designer series paper that I used was from the Wicked Fun Specialty pack (117400).

Break me off a piece of that Kit Kat bar!

Hello Stampers!  Do you like Kit Kat bars?  I really do and it showed this week!  I went out and bought 80 of them and wrapped them for Halloween goodies for the girl's teachers, Amie's soccer team (her last game is on Halloween), my preschool class, and my coworkers!  WOW!  Wanna see how they turned out?

 This isn't all of them because I had already taken out the one's for my preschool Fall party which was yesturday.  Want to see a close up of a couple of them?

 This is how we decorated the ones for the soccer team and my preschoolers.  We tied yarn around them and stamped a cute tag.  They are kids and they are only going to tear them up anyway!

 This is one we made for the teachers and coworkers.  Don't you love the tags on these?  My mom came up with these!  Way to go mom!  She was here visiting for the week.  She helped me out a ton because I have been sick the whole week and have had total laryengitis for the last two days.  The pumpkin is three 1 3/8" small oval punches (119863) and were adhered together and run through the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) with the new Spider Web embossing folder (120889)!  Don't you love them???

To wrap the regular sized Kit Kat bars, you need a 6" X 6" piece of designer series paper.  We wrapped this around the candy bar.  You then take your Crimper (101618) and crimp the ends up to the candy bar.  That' it!

Fresh Cut Notes thank you

Hello Stampers!  Have you ever used the Fresh Cut Notes (111882) that Stampin' Up! carries?  They are so fun and easy to use.  Let me show you the one that we made in my card class last month.

  When you get these 4 X 4 note cards, the flower petals are perforated and can be punched out if you wish.  Then, you can put anything in the background of the flower that you like.  We used designer series paper from the Brights designer series paper stack (117155).  Between the card and this layer of designer series paper, we punched a flower from Vellum cardstock (101856) using the 5-Petal Flower punch (119880) and stuck it in between the layers with a mini glue dot.

We also lightly sponged our card front, tied on a piece of Rich Razzleberry Taffeta ribbon (119966), and attached a button from the Brights Designer Buttons pack (119747).

There are so many things you can do with these Fresh Cut Notes.  If you try out any on your own, I would love to see them and I may even post them on my blog!

Halloween Box #2 again!

Hello Stampers!  Thanks for coming back today to check out my other Halloween box that I made for the girls.  Wanna see it now?

 Isn't it fun?  This box was also made using the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) and the Box #2 die (114518).  I actually cut two of these boxes and assembled them all except for the lid, I left it un folded.  I then used sticky strip (104294) and attached the boxes together, back to back.  I again used the 1 3/4" oval punch (119855) to punch a hole for the handle.

The designer series paper on the box is from Wicked Fun Specialty designer series paper (117400) pack.

I made the Frankenstein from several punches.  The head is the Curly Label punch (119851).  I cut one in black and one in Old Olive and cut out the hair.  The ears are two of the circles punched from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack (118309).  The neck is a 3/4" square, and the shirt collar is from the Word Window punch (119857).  The whole Frankenstein is adhered on the new 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch (118874).

Halloween Box #2

Hello Stampers!  Looking for a cute Halloween box for a quick gift? I made these boxes for my girls for Halloween and to sell at my last craft fair.  I have two designs to show you, and since the designs and decorations are very different, I will show you one today and one tomorrow.

  The box was made using the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) and the Box #2 die (114518).  I actually cut two of these boxes and assembled them all except for the lid, I left it un folded.  I then used sticky strip (104294) and attached the boxes together, back to back.  I used the 1 3/4" oval punch (119855) to punch a hole for the handle.

I used the Wicked Fun Specialty designer series paper (117400) to decorate the front and back.  I also used it for the vest on the owl!

The owl was cut from cardstock using the Two Step Owl punch (118074).  Don't you love the witch's hat he is sporting?  Can you tell how it was made?  I used the 1 3/8" oval punch (119863) for the brim of the hat, and the wing from the Two-Step Bird punch (117191) for the top!  Don't you love it???

The owl was mounted on layered circles and scallop circles and mounted to the top.

Won't these be really cute filled with fun Halloween candy?

Spooky Things pumpkins

Hello Stampers!  I made the cutest pumpkins for Halloween the other day, and I just have to show you!

  Aren't they fun?  They had similar ones at Convention this year.  I know, I'm still going on and on about all of the great things from Convention this past year!  You have got to go with me next year so that you can experience all of these great ideas and fun times for yourself!  Ask me how and I will help get you there with me next year!

Anyway, these pumpkins were decorated with some of the vinyl from the Spooky Things decor elements (120909).  You get 10 different images in this kit so you will have lots of images left to decorate other things!  I also used the Black Flourish designer jewels (120987) to add some bling to my pumpkins.

Finally, the pumpkins are tied together with the Raven 1/2" lace trim (120988).

Paisley Prints Pumpkin card

Hello Stampers!  We made the cutest card at Convention this year as one of our make n' takes.  I knew that I was going to have to make it at one of my monthly card classes, so this month was it!

 This is the card that we made at Convention.

 This is the card that we made in class this month.  Not a whole lot of change, we just didn't do the wheel, and the sentiment and button are different.

The stamp set we used was the cute new set in the Holiday mini catalog, Paisley Prints (120817).  It is such a cute set!  The ribbon is the Pumpkin Pie 5/8" Grosgrain ribbon (119760) and the buttons are the Brights designer buttons (119747).  The buttons adhere very easily with the mini glue dots.

Don't you love the ribbon ruffles?  To do this you just fold the ribbon over itself a couple of times and adhere each fold with a mini glue dot.  The glue dots hold perfectly to the ribbon.

On a personal note, we had gorgeous weather here in St. Louis today.  While I was inside making items for my next craft fair, my family was digging up our banana trees to bring in the for winter.  Our trees just went crazy this year!

Our trees had lots of babies this year too, so if you live in the St. Louis area or close by and would like a banana tree for next summer, let me know!

 

Happy New Baby!

Hello Stampers!  And no, the card says Happy New Baby, I didn't have one!  I saw this super cute baby card similar to this one on one of the display boards at Convention, so I knew I needed to come home and make one.

  I used the Baby Bundle stamp set ( 118525) (very cute set!).  I stamped the images and just left them black and white.  Some of the gals in my club colored them in.  They were punched out with the 1" circle punch (119868), 1 1/4"  circle punch (119861), 1 3/8" circle punch (119860), and the 1 3/4" Scallop circle punch (119854).

The designer series paper we used on the background was from the Subtles Patterns designer series paper stack (117152).  The words are from the Family Phrases stamp set (114960).

Do I or Don't I: My Digital Studio

Hello Stampers!  Many of you have been trying to decide if My Digital Studio would be something that you would use or not.  Well I'm here to say, "Of course you would, it is great!"  And now, it has gotten even better!

 

The My Digital Studio version 1.0.5 update is now available. With this latest update, you will receive functionality upgrades as well as access to seven new professional print output products--including a trifold card, a journal, a 5.5" x 6.5" calendar with easel, and four postcards!  You really can do so much more with this program than just scrapbook pages! 

If you are currently into digital scrapbooking, you have got to check our program out.  It's like having all of the available stamp sets, designer series paper, and accessories, without actually having them!  There are downloads available every month to increase your resources.  I post the new downloads here on my blog as they are available so you don't have to go searching for them.

It is important that you have the most recent version of the My Digital Studio software prior to installing the Professional Print Product Update.  Here's how to do it:

• If you have installed the initial update (version 1.0.1), simply click "Help" and select "Check for Updates" in the My Digital Studio software. The update will be performed automatically.
• If you have not completed the initial update, download the My Digital Studio update for a PC (version 1.0.1), or download the My Digital Studio update for a Mac (version 1.0.1). Then, complete the steps listed above to get the most recent update.
• Please note: once you download and install the update, your My Digital Studio software will display as My Digital Studio "1.0.5.665" in the About My Digital Studio screen under the Help menu.

Just believe thanks

Hello stampers!  Today I wanted to show you another card that we made last month in my monthly card class.

 Isn't this fun?  I got this card idea off of a sample on display during convention.  Stampin' Up! is always really good about showing us samples done with the stamp sets that we get at our events.  In fact, they usually will have an entire display board or two full of samples to make with each set.  How great is that of them to do for us???  What a great company to work for!

The stamp set used is Just Believe (116948), which we received at Convention this year.  The card base is Cherry Cobbler, my new favorite Stampin' Up! color!  The stamped image colors are Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, and Cherry Cobbler.  These same colors were used as matted circles.  The "just a little thanks" is from the Matchbox Messages stamp set (113800).

The white background piece has been run through the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine with the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.

The little piece of ribbon is tied in a small knot and stuck on with a mini glue dot.

Hershey Bar Sliders class

Hello Stampers!  Don't forget that my Hershey Bar Slider class is this Thursday evening, October 21st, at 7:00 p.m. at my house.
