Hello Stampers! I have missed posting the last few days because I have really been overcome with a cold! And boy did it get me down! I have been doing good to get out of bed and go to work, but the rest of the time I have pretty much been down on the couch or in bed! Now I am just stuck with the lingering cough! However, I am feeling better today finally!
I wanted to show you this neat bag/purse that my daughter Amie made at my mom's house last weekend! This was her first time ever sewing! Didn't she do a great job??? They talked about these bags a little bit at Leadership, so I decided to give it a try! We cut the squares out using the Big Shot and the scallop square die. It was so simple and would cut through 8 layers of fabric at one time! This bag used six squares on each side, two on each side, and three on the bottom. Plus, each square has a backing square with batting in between, for a total of 36 squares.
I made a tote bag by just adding another row of squares on top, but my mom liked it so much that I left it with her! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of it!!! I am going to be hitting the fabric store soon for more fabric to make myself another one, and my daughter Casie wants to make one now too! I'll show pics of them when they are finished!

Hello Stampers! I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am about My Digital Studio! I'm loving this program! You remember that I became certified a couple of months ago, well I have been playing and playing with it, and I'm learning so many new things! I love it!
I'm going to start showing you projects regularly that I have created with this program. I made my mother and sister calendars for Christmas presents, and now that we can print out individual scrapbook pages, I have been creating them too!

Hello Stampers! Well, today I am off to see my Grandmother. She has been in the hospital and I wanted to take her a little somthing to make her feel better. I decided that since candy is just about her favorite thing ever, I would make one of the Pillow Box die baskets and fill it with her favorite candy!
Isn't it fun? I just love making these baskets! I have also found that if I use Tombow Mulit Purpose Adhesive, my baskets seem to stay together better than if I used Sticky Strip! The birds on the side are paper pieced using the Love You Much stamp set. To make these, I first stamped the image on Real Red cardstock and punched it out with the 1 3/8" Circle punch. Then I stamped the image again on a piece of paper from the Sending Love Speciality Designer Series Paper and cut out the bird bodies only. Then I adhered these to the stamped image on the Real Red circle so that the stamped image on the designer series paper was showing. It is such a neat look! I then layered that on the Scallop Circle punched circle! The heart in the middle of the birds is the small heart on the Heart to Heart punch. The heart with the raised polka dots on the right is made using the Big Shot and the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit die. It is too fun too! I just love polka dots!
Here is a view from the side. I made the handle with White cardstock punched with the Scallop Trim Border punch in the Sale-A-Bration brochure. That is such a fun new punch too! Then I simply topped it with a strip of Real Red cardstock. It is very pretty looking! I hope my grandmother likes it!!!

Hello Stampers! I'm so glad that today is a holiday and I don't have to go to work! I've got a lot of playing I want to do with my stamps! I haven't had much time to play the last couple of days. Hubby is in bed sick with the flu, so between taking care of him, cleaning house, running the kids everywhere, my time is shot! I do have some running still to do today, but I should have some stampin' time too!
I wanted to show you another card that we did in my monthly card class this month. Hello Stampers! I wanted to show you the scrapbook pages that we are doing in my scrapbook class this month.
Isn't this a fun page? I just love the little santa in the bottom left corner! The big snowflake is done with the Snowflake #2 die and the Big Shot! Love it!
I like the simpleness of this page.
And of course we have to do a cold layout! Can you see the clear snowflakes on the page? I think they are reflecting a little in this picture! They are cut out of transparency sheets with the Snowflake #2 die and the Big Shot again! They are so cool looking!

Hello Stampers! Today I wanted to do a tutorial on how to mount the new Clear Mount Stamp Sets in the new Occasions mini catalog! From here on out, every new stamp set that SU! comes out with, you will have the option of ordering it as wood mount (the old style) or clear mount (the new style). The clear mount sets are less expensive, but you do have to purchase the clear blocks to mount them on.
You can follow this step by step tutorial, or skip on down to the bottom and watch my video!
First you need to be sure you have clear mount blocks to adhere your stamps to. SU! has 9 different sizes of blocks. You can purchase them each indivdually or as a set and save almost $10.
When you receive your stamp set, it will be in a case similar to a DVD case. Inside you will have your sheet of rubber stamps and a sheet of stickers. Your mounting instructions are inside the front cover.
Punch your individual stamps out of the rubber sheet.
Remove the top liner from the sticker sheet. Each image has a slit in the middle to make removing the liner easy. The sticker will remain on your sheet with the sticky side up.
This is what your sticker sheet will look like with the top liner removed from one sticker.
Now remove the backing from your foam on your stamp.
Lay the sticky backing of the foam directly on top of the sticky side of the sticker, making sure to line up your images perfectly.
Now peel off your stamp with the sticker attached. This is what the back side of your stamp will look like. If your label is hanging over the side of your stamp, you can trim it.
Lay this sticker side of the stamp on your mounting block. Press very firmly for a few moments for your stamp to stick firmly.
Now you are ready to stamp! You can clean your stamp as usual, remove it from your clear block, and put it back into its case to store! It's that easy!

We started off the day with our breakout classes again. Lots of great information!
We had an even better lunch today! My how they pamper us!!!
Here is my roomie, Sue, and I enjoying some sunshine during out lunch break! No Snow!!!
After lunch we had our closing session. We had a wonderful guest speaker, and we got lots of free stuff!!! We all received this quilt square as a way to show off what you can do with the Big Shot! We also all got a stamp set that will be coming out in the next catalog! I'll be showing you things with that later!
Finally, Shelli demonstrated some projects for us. I'm liking her style more and more all of the time!

On our first day, we checked into the conference and looked at all of the displays and shopped at Momento Mall! There were several demonstrators who were demonstrating different techniques, tools, and new items. It was very imformative!
