New Occasions Mini items!

Hello Stampers!  I'm still enjoying my holiday company for one more day!  I joined a swap with my upline and sideline recently!  We were to use items from the new upcoming Occasions mini catalog.  Here's the card that I came up with:

Isn't it fun?  This is from the new Sending Love Specialty designer series paper!  You have got to get this paper pack!  It is wonderful!  The paper has glittery accents on one side of each sheet!  WOW the bling!!! 

The thank you is from the new stamp set With All My Heart!  This is my first clear mount stamp set, and let me  tell you that I LOVE them!!!  You too will be hooked after you try it!!!

The cute little felt circle in the middle of one of the larger paper circles, is from the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt pieces!  I LOVE these too!  They add great dimension!

December Punch Club

Hello Stampers!  I hope that you all had a enjoyable and relaxing holiday!  I know I certainly enjoyed my time off with my family!

I wanted to show you a couple of the items that we made in my Punch Bunch club this month before the month gets away from us!

What is Christmas without the Grinch???  I have seen hime in several places, so I thought I would try one of my own!  He was fun to make!

And of course we have to remember the Christ in Christmas!  This is little baby Jesus in his manger.

On the 12th Week of Christmas...

My true love gave to me, some coasters upon which to set my hot tea!

Hello Stampers!  I made it!  I made my 12 Weeks of Christmas before Christmas!  This project is one actually that my daughter Casie made for my husband for a Christmas present!  Coasters!

We started out with four tumbled tiles.  We found them at the hardware store.  They were pretty inexpensive!

She then stamped on them in Craft ink and sprinkled them with clear embossing powder.  We baked them in a 250 degree oven for 10 minutes.  The embossing powder will melt and set which protects the stamped image!

On the 11th Week of Christmas...

My true love gave to me, another gift card holder under my tree!

Hello Stampers!  I have another gift card holder to show you that I made for my craft fairs.

Isn't it cute?  I just noticed that my words slant down though!  Just pretend that they are straight!!  Here's how to make this:

Start off with a 4 X 11 piece of cardstock.

Fold your cardstock in half.

Place your cardstock on your Top Note die, for the Big Shot, with the fold just inside the edge of the die as shown.  Run this through your Big Shot.

Cut a separate Top Note die and cut it in half lengthwise.

Place sticky strip along three sides of the half.

Attach to the inside of your holder.  Decorate the outside as desired.  I used punches and dies to make my reindeer!  Let me know if you can't figure out which ones!

On the 10th Week of Christmas...

My true love gave to me, a gift card holder decorated cute as can be!

Hello Stampers!  I meant to get this posted last night, but time got away from me, so I will probably have two posts today!

This is a gift card holder that I had made for my craft fair.  It is super easy to make!  Here's how:

Start off with three Top Note die cuts.  Cut one of them in half.

Attach the two whole Top Notes together in the top left hand corner with a brad.  Attach the half Top Note on the inside with sticky strip.  This forms the pocket where the gift card goes.  Decorate the cover as desired!  It's that easy!

On the 9th Week of Christmas....

My true love gave to me, a hot cocoa box to warm my tummy!

Hello Stampers!  I think I have finally caught up with myself and everything completed that I have been scurrying to get finished!  Every year I vow that it's not going to be like that, and every year it is again!  I'm going to get you caught up on your 12 weeks of Christmas too!  I know, it is too late to make too many Christmas gifts this year, but you can always have them for ideas for next year!  My next Christmas file is really thick already!

This year I made these fun hot chocolate holders for the gir's teachers!  Remember, that means at least 18 teachers!  We also like to give things to other staff members as well!  These fun boxes can be found on the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator website.  They have a different box for each month of the year!  Here's how to make them:

Start off with your box shape cut from the Big Shot with the Bag w/scallops die.  You will also need 2 Top Note dies.  I cut mine out of Kraft cardstock.

Assemble your scallop bag, using sticky strip, and cut off the scallop top.

Adhere a Top Note die to each side of the bag.

Decorate your box as desired!  I used the large oval punch for the ears, 1" circle punch for the eyes, 1/2" circle punch for the pupils, 1" circle punch for the nose, Leaves #2 die for the antlers.

And here is what a whole herd of reindeer looks like!

Christmas Card Friday!

Hello Stampers!  I have a really cute card to show you for my Christmas Card Friday this week!  I have seen this technique done on other people's blogs, and had to try it for myself!

Isn't this neat how the embossed area leaves an oval for you to stamop your images in?  It's pretty easy to do!  If you look closely at the card too, you will notice that the snowmen's hats and scarves are paper pieced!

All you need to do this technique is a thin wooden frame that you can pick up at a hobby store.  I found one that had wooden pieces glued to it.  I simply pulled the pieces off and had my frame.  This is used as a shim in your big shot when you run the embossing folder though so that the image only embosses where the frame hits it!  Very cool!  Here's the supplies that I used:

Reindeer Treat Bags

Hello Stampers!  I have had such a productive day today!  I left early this morning to get a big dent put in my Christmas shopping!  I then came home and made my treat bags for the preschool party tomorrow and almost got all of my kids teacher gifts completed!  WOOHOO!

Aren't they adorable???  I found something similar to this on Lynn's blog and knew that I had to create my own!  They were fairly simple and turned out so cute!  Stampin' Up! even carries the perfect sized cellophane bags!  The topper is the Top Note die with the Big Shot!  The face is all done with punches and the antlers are the Snowflake die with the Big Shot!  Have I mentioned lately that I love my Big Shot?????

Cold & Cuddly Christmas

Hello Stampers!  Yesturday was Lydia's party here at my house!  Hi Lydia!  It was a mother/daughter party, and we had a good time!  Here is one of the cards that we made:

Sorry the color is so bad on this picture, it is night time!  The girls had a fun time with this card!  They really liked coloring on the stamp with the marker and then huffing on it!  They got very creative and made the penguin all sorts of colors!  I liked the purple ones the best, but then purple is my favorite color!!!

Christmas card Friday!

Hello Stampers!  It's another Christmas card Friday!  Just think, Christmas is two weeks from today!  I still have so much to do!!!

This is a Christmas card that we made during my card class last month!  It is made using the Patterned Pines hostess stamp set!  I stamped them in white on Old Olive and Ruby Red cardstock.  Then I simply cut them out!  Here's the supplies that I used:

On the 8th week of Christmas...

My true love gave to me, a matchbox punched and filled with candy!

Hello Stampers!  I know, I'm still so far behind!  I have to show you this cool matchbox that I made to sell at the craft fair!  It is really cool!

Isn't that cool!  The new Ornament punch fits the top of the matchbox just perfectly!  Here's how I made them:

Start off by cutting out your matchbox pieces using the Big Shot and the Matchbox die.  I like to do the lid using designer series paper and cardstock for the bottom.

Fold the bottom on all of the score lines and your box bottom is formed!  It doesn't even require adhesive, although I use just a bit to be sure that all of the sides stay folded!

 Before I folded the lid on the score lines, I punched the ornament shape out with the new Ornament punch.  I cut a piece of transparency to adhere to the inside of the box and cover the opening.  Then fold on the score lines and adhere the tab on your lid.  It is now complete!

I filled my matchboxes with the silver covered kisses because I thought they added to the retro feel of the Holiday Lounge designer series paper!  The matchbox perfectly holds 6 kisses.  There is the perfect gift for your coworkers, teachers, secret angels, etc!
