HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Hello Stampers!  Happy Halloween to you all!  I hope that you all get to eat some of your favorite candy tonight!  Now be honest, how many of you keep aside your favorites that you are supposed to be giving away, and eat it for yourself?????  We all do it!!  I have already set aside a stash of banana Laffy Taffy and mini M & M's!  Yum!!!

Aren't these doorknob hangers fun?  I made these for my daughters to hang on their doors this morning when they woke up!  I got this great idea from Heather!  Thanks Heather, the girls loved them!  I put little slider doors on them so that they could get the candy out of the Sweet Treat cups without tearing apart the hanger!  I would like to reuse them next year after all of my work!  The paper that I used on the front is not SU!.  I ran out of my Cast-A-Spell designer series paper this week!  Here's the supplies I used:

Christmas Card Friday

Hello Stampers!  It's time for another Christmas Card Friday!  I'm having so much fun with this!  And it's keeping me on my toes at keeping up with my Christmas cards!

This card was so much fun to make!  I just love the Sweet Centers stamp set and the Sweet Treat Cups in the Holiday mini catalog!  If you have not checked out this stamp set, you really should!  It is so versatile!  It can be used for Halloween, Christmas, Valentines, and can be used to make a flower and a hot air balloon! The Sweet Treat cups are so much fun, and very affordable!  You get 12 cups for $2.95!  You can even get padded envelopes to mail your finished cards in!  And, depending on what color of M & M's you want for the center, you get to pick them out and eat the one's that are the wrong color!!!

Nugget Boxes and Big Shot bags

Hello Stampers!  I know it, I'm doing two posts in one day!  I just have so much Halloween stuff that I want to show you still and I'm running out of time! 

I'm making these for my girls teachers. Aren't they cute?  I found these, and even the directions for the cute matchboxes, on somebody's blog, but of course I can't find my paper now to tell me who's blog I found it on!  If you know, let me know so I can give credit!  The matchboxes hold three covered nuggets.  I used every last scrap of my Cast-A-Spell designer series paper to make these!

On the 4th Week of Christmas...

My true love gave to me, some chocolate wrapped up to a tee!

Hello Stampers!  I am having so much fun with my weekly Christmas gift posts!  Today I want to show you these cute little Hershey bar sliders!  I just made up the name, but I think it suits them!

Would you like to see how I made it and what's inside?  Keep reading......

Start off with a 6" X 7" piece of cardstock.  Score it on the 6" side at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2".

Fold on the score lines and adhere together with sticky strip along the 1/2" tab.

Decorate the outside as desired.  I saw this on somebody's blog and remembered how I have made cards and scrapbook pages with the Santa suit design before too.  They are so much fun!  I used the Curly Label punch and the 3/4" square punch to do his belt buckle out of Brushed Silver cardstock.  Use the slot punch and punch out a hole in both sides at the top.  Insert a 25" piece of ribbon.

Insert a standard size Hershey bar inside the sleeve.  As you push the candy bar down, your ribbon with go down too.  The ribbon middle will stay at the bottom of the candy bar.

Once your candy bar is all of the way into the sleeve, tie your ribbon into a bow. 

As you pull on the bow, the candy bar will slide out too!  How much fun is that???  I am making quite a few of these to sell at my Open House and the craft fair that I will be at in December.  I will be selling them for $3 each.  If you are interested in purchasing some, just give me a holler!  These are the supplies that I used:

BOO Banner

Hello Stampers!  I couldn't hardly wait to get my Scallop Square die for my Big Shot so that I could play with it!  Well, guess what?  It came!  So, last night I played with it and made this BOO Banner!

It was really easy to do, and took very little time!  I added a few stamped embellishments to all of the letters to make them more whimsical!  I used the SU! Bitty Boos stamp set which is retired, Sorry!  Here's the supplies I used:

Punch Bunch Club

Hello Stampers!  Yesturday I showed you two of the projects from my Advanced Punch Club, today I want to show you a project from my regular Punch Club.

I will have another Punch Club starting in January.  To be in this club, you agree to buy $15 in SU! merchandise every month for six months.  Each month you will get a kit to make four punched items.  In your kit, you will also be receive a piece of cardstock in the shape of the top note die, this is to place your punched item on.  You can keep all of your pages on a key ring (see picture of mine below).  You will receive detailed instructions, pictures of the punched item, as well as a picture of a card using the punched item, as a sample, by e-mail.  You will either receive your kit from me with your order,  or if you are long distance, I will mail it to you.

This is my key ring with all of the punch club items from this year on it!  That's a lot of punched items to learn how to make!!!

Advanced Punch Bunch

Hello Stampers!  Today I wanted to show you the cards that my Advanced Punch Club got to make this week!  They are so much fun!

Isn't this cat the cutest thing?  This is one of the items that we made in my Punch class that I took with Heather Summers!  Love her classes!  This card uses 6 different punches!

This cute card is one that I found on LeeAnn's blog!  It uses 8 different punches!  Don't you just love her hair?  I just took a 2" piece of black grosgrain ribbon.  I cut both of the sides off and unraveled the strings!  Too fun!

I will have another Advanced Punch Bunch Club starting up in January.  All you have to do to join is agree to buy $20 in SU! merchandise each month for six months.  Each month you will get a kit to make 2 full cards using punches.  You will received detailed instructions and pictures of the completed cards by e-mail.  You will either receive your kit with your order from me, or if you are long distance, I will mail it to you.

Christmas Card Friday!

Hello stampers!  It's another Christmas card Friday!  Today I went for the cute card again! 

I love to put Bashful Blue and Lovely Lilac together.  They put off a chilly feel!  This card uses the Punch Pals stamp set.  That little penguin is just so cute!!!  I made this card to look like a snow globe.  You can't really see it in the picture, but on top of the penguin, is a 1 3/4" circle of transparency sheet.  This makes it look like glass!  Too cool!  Here's the supplies I used:

On the 3rd Week of Christmas

my true love gave to me, a pretty ornament just for my tree!

Hello Stampers!  It's week three of my 12 Weeks of Christmas projects!  Today I want to show you a really pretty glittery ornament that I made!

Isn't it pretty?  It doesn't photograph very well, but it is so shiny and sparkly, that you really have to just touch it!  Everybody that I have showed them to have reached out to touch it!  Would you like to know how to make these?  Alright then, read on....

You need clear glass ornaments.  Mine are flat, but round.  You can use whatever size and shape though.  You will also need reinker (for this one I am using Brilliant Blue), a funnel, glitter, and a small bowl.

Take the top off of your ornament.  Place drops of reinker inside.  The number of drops will depend on the size of the ornament,  Through practice, I learned that my ornaments require 20 drops of ink.  Swirl the ink around inside the ornament.

After you have the entire inside covered with ink, turn ornament over and let it drip any excess ink out for 10 minutes.

After the 10 minutes is up, use your funnel to sprinkle glitter inside of the ornament.  Again, you will just have to experiment to decide how much glitter you need. 

Swirl the glitter around inside the ornament until the whole thing is covered on the inside.  I poured the extra back into my glitter jar.

I then let it dry for a few more minutes and put the top back on my ornament!  It's that easy!

I made them in several colors!  Across the top is Melon Mambo, Real Red, Glorious Green, across the bottom is Only Orange, Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise.  I plan on cutting out the white vinyl decor sheets with my snowflake die on the Big Shot to place on the ornaments!  How fun!  Here are the SU! supplies used:

Medallion monogram cards

Hello Stampers!  At my downline meeting last week, Christine and I played around a little bit with the Medallion stamp and making monogram cards (Hi Chris!).  These are a few of the samples that I came up with.  I liked the design, so I played around a little bit with colors too!  See what you think!

Spooky Spider candy jar

Hello Stampers!  I don't have anything new to show you today, but I did want to show you the candy jar that I made last year for Halloween!  I used the Spooky Spider decor elements and placed it on a glass jar that I bought.

Isn't that fun?  And the decor elements piece is only $5.95!  Last year I just tied a small bow on the handle with the 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, but this year...

I added a new bow with the new 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon! Doesn't it make it look better?  The candy is new this year too, by the way!  I love candy corn!!  Here's the ingredients:

Pillow Box Jack-O-Lantern

Hello Stampers!  I have had a great day today!  I have gotten to stamp and play almost all day!  I have been frantically trying to make items for my Vendor Open House and craft fairs coming up!  I'll show you all of my stuff later!  Today though, I have to show you this really cute Jack-O-Lantern basket made out of the Pillow Box die with the Big Shot!

Isn't it awesome???  I found these directions on SCS, and it was so easy to make!  Would you like to have a tutorial??? You would???  Alright, here you go!!!

Start off with three pillow boxes cut out using the Pillow Box die and the Big Shot. 

Fold each one on the score lines and sponge the fold lines to give it dimension.

Use your sticky strip to adhere the three boxes together along the horizontal tabs.  Leave your piece flat and don't adhere the final flap.

Using your scissors, trim the three rounded tabs along one side, so that all edges are the same.  This is now your top edge.  Notice there are no tabs rounded upward along the edge where the scissors are lying.

For the bottom edge, trim all of your tabs off completely.

Adhere your last horizontal tab to the others, forming your basket.

Cut three strips of cardstock, 5" X 1".  Score them all 1/2" from both ends.  Apply sticky strip to both ends of all three strips.

Tape the strips inside the bottom of the basket, approximately 3/4" up from the bottom, with the tabs facing down. 

Cut two 4" circles and adhere one on the bottom of the cardstock strips on the bottom, and one from the inside of the basket.  This is what you will now see when you look inside your basket.

Decorate your basket as desired!  I used 1" circles for the eyes, a wide oval for the mouth (I cut out some teeth), and I freehanded a triangle nose.  The handle is a 11" X 3/4" strip.  It is adhered to the sides with brads.
