Witch's Hat

Hello Stampers!  I just have to show you this adorable Halloween box that I made!  I got this idea from Heather at www.stampwithheather.typepad.com!  I love her stuff!

Isn't this adorable?  It is approximately 7 " tall, so it is bigger than you would think!  I am going to make these for my girl's teachers for Halloween.  The main part of the hat is a triangle box.  The brim of the hat is just a piece of cardstock added on to the bottom.

Here is a side view so that you can have a better idea!  I used the stamp set Booglie Eyes (retired) for the pic of the witch.  I used the star stamp from Under The Stars.  For my buckle, I punched a 3/4" square from black cardstock and punched a 1 1/4" square over the negative piece.  This created my buckle.  That is just adhered on top of the piece of ribbon!  Too cute!  Here's the recipe:

Accessories - Markers, Striped grosgrain ribbon, 3/4" square punch, 1 1/4" square punch

Halloween goody!

Hello Stampers!  I've been playing around and trying to come up with something to make for my preschoolers for Halloween.  Since we are at a Lutheran church, and it is preschool, it can't be witches, ghosts, bats, monsters, or anything else scary or bad.  WOW does that certainly limit things for Halloween!

This is one thing that I came up with.  I CASE'd this idea from somebody's blog, of course I can't seem to remember who's it was.  Don't you just hate it when you print off a pic from somebody's blog and it doesn't give their site address on the bottom of your page?  And I can't remember to always look at everything I print to be sure that it is on there.  If this is yours, please let me know so that I can give you credit!

This is just made with the Petal card die and the Big Shot.  I folded up three sides and wrapped a band of designer series paper around it with a ribbon.  The pumpkin is from the new set in the Holiday mini called Pumpkin Patch.  It is a fun set because you get to build your own jack-o-lantern!  Isn't it cute??? 

It is the perfect size to squeeze in a Ghirardelli chocolate square!  It doesn't get much better than that!  Here's the recipe:

Little Bluebird

Hello Stampers!  I have really enjoyed my holiday today!  I got to play in my scrapbook room all day!  Of course, I spent a good part  of the day cleaning and organizing!  Since I only go in there to work every few weeks, stuff tends to pile up on my table waiting for me to touch it and do something with it.  But, I did get several pages planned out!

I also made a card.  I have seen these on a few people's blogs, so I decided to try one for myself.

He's made along the same lines as the Sesame Street characters that I did before.  I used the Scallop die with the Big Shot.  The rest of him is just punches:

Hair - Boho Blossoms punch

Eyes -  1 1/4" circle punch, 1" circle punch

Nose - Small oval punch

Feet - Boho Blossoms punch

He looks a little sad, but I'm going to say it is because summer is almost over and he dislikes winter as much as I do!!!

Sweet Treat Cups!

Hello Stampers!  I know I showed you some cards that I made with my new Sweet Centers stamp set and the sweet treat cups, but I wanted to show you what I came up with for letting the recipient get to the goodies without messing up your card!

This card is very similar to one of the cards that I made before, I just made a few changes to it. 

Inside of my card I used my Cutter Kit (catalog and idea book page 191) and simply scored an X behind the cup.  This way that can just open it and pull out their goodies without messing the card up!  I got this idea from Patty!  Thanks Patty!

This is the card I showed before.  For this one, I attached the cardstock square onto the card front with four brads.

This is what it looks like inside the card.  They just need to take off the four brads, and the cup will open right up for them.  Then they can reattach the brads and the card is whole again!  Too clever!  My daughter, Amie, actually came up with this idea!   Thanks Amie!

Now you have to have these treat cups, not only are they the cutest things, but they are simple and easy to use too!

Lottery Day!

Hello Stampers!  WOW!  Yesturday was like hitting the lottery day! First off I went out to buy myself a laptop computer!

I made enough money selling my retired stamp sets and accessories at my Open House and garage sale, that I treated myself to my own laptop!  Everybody in my family has one except for me.  Now, thanks to being a SU! demonstrator, I have one too!

When I got home, look what was waiting for me!  I got my Holiday mini catalog order!  I told you I had to have a lot of stuff from the new mini!  I love it!  And this is only the stuff in my order that was from the new mini!  I got more stuff too!

And look at how much of my stuff was either free or greatly discounted!!!  How you ask?  As a demonstrator, you earn points called Great Rewards.  You can accumulate these rewards for a whole year and then redeem them for goodies!  I received a Visa gift card this year, and bought myself some more stamps!  You can never have too many stamps!!!  See the adorable set in the very middle, I received it for only $10 since I had an order for over $250.  That is the hostess special that is going on right now called Sweet Rewards!  If you have a workshop, and your sales reach $250, you get to pick any item out of the Holiday mini for only $10! 

Do you see the item in the top right?  That is my copy of the new My Digital Studio!  It is the new digital scrapbooking program that will be available to the public on October 1!  As a demonstrator, we got to order it early!   I also received it for over 50% off since I attended Convention this year!  I have one month to play with it, so that I can tell you all how fantabulous it is!  I'm so anxious to get started with it!  That is on the agenda for tomorrow!

Christmas Card Friday

Hello Stampers!  I'm glad to came to visit today!  Today I'm starting my Christmas Card Friday!  I'm going to be showing you a different Christmas card each Friday to help you get inspired and come up with a Christmas card design to create your own Christmas cards this year!

My first Christmas card is a funny one! Don't worry!  I will be showing inspirational, religious, and just plain beautiful ones too!

For this one, I used non-traditional colors and the Under The Stars stamp set.   I CASE'd this card from one I saw on Heather's blog at www.stampwithheather.typepad.com last year.  I changed a few things about it to make it my own.  The hat and presents are from the retired stamp set, Holiday Sampler.  I used a small pom pom on the end of the hat!  Adds dimension and is just too darn cute!  The presents are stuck on with dimensionals so that they pop!  To watercolor the bear, I used my blender pens and stamp pads.  Here's the recipe:

August Club cards and Happy Birthdays!

Hello Stampers!  I guess I really should stop wishing my friends, family, and customers a Happy Birthday on my blog, because that way if I forget to post it, I don't feel so bad!  Happy Birthday to Sally and Shari!  Their birthdays were Tuesday and Wednesday!

Here's another Circle Circus card!  This is one of the cards that we made in my card class last month.  The Circle Circus set is so fun to play with!  And I just can't seem to get enough of the fun polka dot ribbon!  Here's the recipe:

Sweet Centers

Hello Stampers!  Well, have you had a chance to look through the new Holiday mini catalog?  Don't you just love it??  It is 39 pages of wonderful stuff that I just HAVE TO HAVE!!!  As a SU! Demonstrator, we had the chance to preorder much of the stuff in early August.  I just had to have the Sweet Centers

stamp set (page 6) and the Sweet Treat Cups to go along with it!  The stamp set can be used for Halloween, Valentines, Christmas, and to make flowers and hot air balloons!  It's so versatile!

I have been playing with them for the last few days.  The treat cups just attach to your card front, between two layers of cardstock, and hold goodies for you!  They are only $2.95 for 12 cups, so they are very reasonable too!  I came up with this card for Halloween!  Here's the recipe:

August Punch Bunch

Hello Stampers!  WOW!  I posted info three times today!  That's a record for me!!!  I wanted to show you some of the samples that my club members made in my Punch Club and Advanced Punch Club for August.

In my regular Punch Bunch Club, members make four punched items every month.  Each item is placed on a Top Note sheet which they can then keep in their book that they were given when they joined.  (That reminds me, Vicki and Arlene, I still owe you your books!)  To be a member of the Punch Club, they have to agree to buy $15 in SU! merchandise every month from me.  That generally means they buy one punch each month.  If they are already a member of one of my other clubs, they can join this club for $7 per month.  Every month, I will e-mail them the directions for putting their items together, as well as pics of cards that I have made using the punched item, so they have ideas of how to use them.

This is one of the items for August, a pair of flip flops!  I got this idea from my upline, Jeri.

This is one of the cards that we made in my Advanced Punch Bunch Club for August.  In this club members make two full cards.  Each card consists of a more advanced punched item.  To be a member of this club, they have to agree to buy $20 in SU! merchandise every month from me.  If they are already a member of one of my other clubs, they can join this club for $7 per month.  Every month I will e-mail them directions for putting their cards together as well as pics of both card.

First Day of Preschool goodies

Hello Stampers!  Well, I didn't get a posting done yesturday because it was such a crazy day!  I went back to work yesturday for our first day of preschool!  The first day back is always tiring because the kids start and don't know any of the rules yet.  It is also the first time away from mom and dad for some of them!  But it went well, and we are going to have a great class this year!

Of course, I couldn't let this important day pass without making something!  So I made these cute little Pixie Stix holders for each of them! 

You are seeing pics of them before they were personalized.  I took them all to school and verified the way they spelled their names and the color of their hair, and personalized them!  I think they turned out cute!

I also have two sick kids this week. They both have really bad colds.  I had to take Amie to the doctor yesturday to have her tested for strep, becuase she gets it several times each year.  So far, it's negative.  Casie had Color Guard practice from 4 - 8:30 and Amie had soccer practice from 6 - 8.  I had some really tired and crabby kids by the end of the evening!

Today, I get to play with my stamps and computer all day!
