Baseball Thank You

Hello Stampers!  Last Wednesday, my daughter Amie got to go sing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" at the St. Louis Cardinals game!  The choirs from all four middle schools in our area got to go.

Here is a pic of the kids down on the field singing!  Can you find her?  No, I can't either!  But I'm pretty sure she was in there!

Anyway, I decided to make a thank you card for her teacher who organized them getting to go do this.  The kids really had a great time!  This is the card that I came up with.  I just love the set All In The Family, so I knew I wanted to use that set! Here's the recipe:

SPOOKY banner kit

Hello Stampers!  I'm so excited!  Today I was playing around and I made this really cute SPOOKY banner! 

Isn't this the cutest thing??  I made this mainly using my Big Shot!  Have I mentioned lately that I love my Big Shot???  Would you like to have one of these banners?  What?  You don't have a Big Shot?  Have I got a deal for you!  I'm going to be selling the kit to make one of these SPOOKY banners for yourself!

Your kit will include 6 black circles cut out using the Scallop Circle die with the Big Shot.  It will also include 6 Only Orange Circles, 6 White Circles with the Die cut letters already attached and the spiders stamped, 40 inches of ribbon, and 2 black brads!

All you have to do when you receive your kit is assemble the pieces, lightly sponge Only Orange ink around your circles if you would like, and draw the web strings for your spiders to hang from!  You can use your brads to make loops for hanging your banner!  And that's it! 

The cost for the kit is only $7!  If you need me to mail it to you, shipping will be extra.

Top Note box & Grocery List instructions

Hello Stampers!  Two days ago I had an appointment with my eye doctor.  I hadn't been having any problems, just going for my annual exam.  And today I went to pick up my new progressive lenses!  You know that that is just a gentler way of saying that I need bifocals!!!  It sure isn't easy getting old!!!

I had promised two days ago that I would give directions for my Top Note box and my Grocery List that I gave to my hostesses at my Appreciation party, so here they are!

My box is 7 1/2" X 7 1/2" scored at 2 1/2" on all four sides.  I used my Curly Label punch to punch out the cute window and covered it with a window sheet from the inside.

The lid is 3 5/8" X 3 5/8" scored at 1/2" on all four sides.  Since I wanted it to be attached to the box and be hinged, I cut the two tabs off from the back side and just taped it to my box.

I cut two top notes from both the designer series paper and cardstock.  I cut the designer series paper on the dotted lines from the die and attached it to the cardstock pieces.  I attached one to the top of the box and one to the bottom.  Since my Top Note piece was quite a bit longer than the box, I merely trimmed off what I didn't need from the back on both the top and the bottom. 

I punched holes in the Top Note dies on both sides of the top and both sides of the bottom pieces.  I then threaded a 24" piece of ribbon so that it could be tied on the top of the box.  This helped keep the lid closed.

Finish decorating as desired.

Now for my Grocery Lists.  The dimensions for these depend on the size of your note pad.  My notepad was 8" X 1 3/4".  My back piece of cardstock is  8 1/4" X 2 1/4".

I took a piece of cardstock that was 2 1/2" X 1 3/4" .  I scored this at 1 1/2" & 1 3/4".  Wrap this over the top of the notepad.  Be sure keep your adhesive at the top of the front side so that you can still tear out the sheets of paper.

Adhere the notepad to the sheet of cardstock.

Decorate as desired.  I used the Circle Circus stamp set.  This set is great for layering circles!

Hostess Appreciation Cards

Hello Stampers!  I told you that I had my Hostess Appreciation Night over the weekend, and I wanted to show you the items that we made.  I try to do more complex things that they wouldn't get to see at a workshop or stamp camp

This is the waterfall card that we made.  If you grab ahold of the ruby red strip with the ribbon on it and pull.....

the leaves start to flip.  If you keep pulling.....

you will end up with your sentiment showing!  Too cool!  We used the Falling Leaves stamp set and the Autumn Traditions designer series paper.

The other project we made is too cool.......

this is a star card that was shown on Shelli's blog for SU!  It starts off as a 2 X 2 book.  When you untie the cord and start to open it up.....

it starts slowly unfolding.  If you keep going until it is opened all of the way up.....

it makes this star ornament!  You just tie the strings back together at the top to hang it!  The ornament is approximately 4" tall.

Hostess Appreciation gifts!

Hello Stampers!  Sunday evening was my Hostess Appreciation night.  I host a night twice a year where I show my appreciation to all of my hostesses over the last 6 months.  I have them over to my house for a night of stamping, socializing, and snacking!  I also make gifts for them.

I made them these cute little boxes using the Top Note die and the Big Shot.  I have seen these in several places on the internet, so I thought I would give them a try.  They were fairly simple to make.  Just make a regular box and add a partial Top Note to both the top and the bottom.

I made the tops so that they hinged, and used ribbon to tie the top down.  I also filled them with nuggets covered with the same designer series paper as is on the top note!  Aren't they cute???

This box uses the Tea Party designer series paper and Almost Amethyst cardstock.

I also made them all a shopping list.  I have seen these all over also.  I had Office Max cut the small sized legal pads in thirds for me.  They charge per cut, if you are interested!  Then the note pad is just set on a piece of cardstock.  Another piece is folded over the top.  Be sure when you adhere the piece on the top that you only adhere it to the top piece on the pad and not on the individual piece of paper!  You want to be able to tear the sheets of paper off!

This one uses Rose Red cardstock and the stamp set Circle Circus!  That set is great to layer using different sizes of circle punches!  I will post directions for both of these later this week!

Circle Circus birthday!

Hello Stampers!  I haven't shown you the great gifts I brought my downline back from Convention!

Aren't these bags great?  They had two different designs of these canvas bags, both in patterns from some of our designer series paper!  These bags were just flying off the rack at Convention!!!  I also brought them a nail file, which you can see laying on the bag.  They were in three different designs also which were from some of our designer series paper!  I love the colors!

This is a birthday card that I made for my mom.  I just love the Circle Circus set!  I CASE'd this idea from a card that I saw on a blog, but now I can't remember who's blog I found it on!  Sorry!  And don't you just love the new Melon Mambo with Black???  Here's the recipe:

Halloween in August?

Hello Stampers!  Yes, I know, Halloween isn't in August, but it's time to start thinking about Halloween and Fall cards. 

Isn't this little skeleton cute?  He's popping out of his hole to wish you a Happy Haunting!  I just got this fun little set, so I had to try making a card with it!  I punched a circle in the cardstock and stuck a piece of designer series paper on the back side.  I cut the skeleton out and just stuck one of his legs inside the hole.  Here's the recipe:

Mother/Daughter camp

Hello Stampers!  Tonight was my Mother/Daughter camp.  We had a fun time!  I wanted to show you a couple of the items that we made tonight.

Isn't this just the cutest thing???  My daughter Amie loves anything elephants, so I knew she would love this card!  I completely CASE'd this card from this blog: www.juliabettencourt.com, but then how could you possibly change anything when it is something this cute???  And every class is better when you get to use the crimper!  For the trunk I just cut a 3" X 1/2" strip of cardstock and ran it through the crimper.  Here's the recipe:

Cardstock - Bermuda Bay, White, Going Grey, Pretty In Pink, Black

Accessories - Full Heart punch, Heart to Heart punch, Wide oval punch, 1/2" circle punch, 1/4" circle punch, Bermuda Bay 1/2" polka dot ribbon, crimper, markers 

This fun little box would be perfect for a small gift or a gift card.  I found these boxes at the dollar store a long time ago.  I always seem to buy things and put them aside for later.  Nice to know I really do use some of the items!  The cupcake is the sizzlets 4-pack die Big Bold Cupcakes.  I just got it, so I had to use it!  And of course, I love it!  It is so easy!

Another Quilt card

Hello Stampers!  Ever have those times when you just want to throw your computer out the window?  I love my computer, and I don't know how I could ever live without it, but when it's not working right, it is very aggrevating!  Anywho.....

I made this card for a friend of mine.  Don't you just love the Cottage Wall designer series paper?  Of course, my favorite color is purple, now Rich Razzleberry, but it looks so elegant paired with the Old Olive!  This look is so easy to achieve, and still gives the WOW look!  Here's the recipe:

Cardstock - Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, White, Cottage Wall designer series paper

Accessories - 1 1/4" square punch, Big Shot, Top Note die, Large oval punch, Scallop oval punch, Old Olive 1/2" striped grosgrain ribbon

Business Card holder

Hello Stampers!  Today was the first day of school for my kiddos!  I no longer get to take cute pictures on the first day of school.  My girls used to make signs every year that would say things like "Look out 3rd grade, Here I come!"  Now I get a "If you're going to take a picture mom, hurry up!"

This is Casie.  She is a Sophomore this year.  She is the first one to leave in the morning.  Her bus comes at 6:45!  School starts at 7:20!  It is just way too early if you ask me!!!  After she left, I went back to bed for a little while!

This is Amie.  She is in the 7th grade this year.  She leaves at 7:25.  School starts at 8:05.  Much more reasonable time!  Can you tell by her stance that she was quite disgusted that I wanted to take her picture????

I spent the day making my gifts for my upcoming Hostess Appreciation night.  I can't show them to you yet, so I will show you my business card holder that I made.  I had it out for my Open House and I'm going to have it out for my craft fairs this year.  Isn't it cute???  It is made with the box #2 die and the Big Shot.  I don't remember where I saw this idea, but I love all of the different things you can do with this box die!

Vinyl Decor

Hello Stampers!  We've sort of gone Decor Elements crazy at out house!  We just love them!  These are the vinyl home decorations that SU! has come out with.  There are a bunch of new designs in the new Decor Elements catalog.  You can view it on my left side bar by simply  clicking on the image of the decor elements catalog, or if you are like me and have to see it in person, just let me know and I will get a catalog to you!

Amie and I decorated the girls bathroom with them a few months ago.  We used the Ginormous Flowers and the Flitting By.  The girls helped me put up butterflies from the Flutter group the other day in my stamping room.  They really are easy to do!  I know I showed how to adhere them then, but the girls wanted me to do another post so that I could take pictures of them putting them up!

First I cut all of my butterfly pieces apart.  Take one piece and rub all over it with the grid paper facing up.  You can use the applicator tool, or I use my scraper for my baking stone!

Gently peel the grid paper off making sure your decal is stuck to the transfer paper.

Position the decal on your wall by touching your transfer paper to your wall.  Gently rub your decal starting from the center and moving out to all of the edges.  Peel your transfer paper off and you are finished!  Since I took a pic of Casie adhering it.....

I had to show that Amie could do it too!  Even in their pajamas!!!

This is what my wall looks like all finished!  I love it!

I was thrilled when they came out with the All In the Family line so that I could put them on the back window of my car!  Aren't they cute!!!!!!  And the best part is that they are only $3.95 per figure!

Welcome to Inkin With Dink!  I'm glad you decided to check out my blog today!  I have been a Stampin' Up! Open House

Hello Stampers!  Well yesturday was my new catalog Open House.  I decided to wait until after Convention this year so that I would have all of my swaps and make n' takes to show off too!

Let's take a tour!  This was my display table as they came in the door.  Back row, left to right: Convention 3D swaps in the oval basket, Convention swaps in the rectangle basket, Convention Make n' Takes on the right.  Front row, left to right: My drawing (which included a stamp set, ribbon, and dsp), Holiday mini catalogs, Chocolates for everyone, my cards, Home Decor catalogs.

I made these little notebooks as gifts for those that RSVP'd.  They are just little notebooks from the dollar store which I covered with retired designer series paper.

Here is a close up of the chocolates I made for everyone!  They are peppermint patties! I used the Punch Pals set with the scallop circle, 1 1/4" circle, and 1 3/4" circle punches!  Too cute!

This is my Dining/Stamping room. These were all of the stamp sets that I had for sale!  All of them half off catalog price!  If you are interested in what I have left, let me know and I can send you a list!

This is my display board in my Dining/Stamping room.  I always post upcoming classes and different cards that I have made or received.  Notice my Inspire, Create, Share across the top!  I made those out of vinyl with my Big Shot!  It turned out too cool!!!
