Hello Stampers! Where has this week gone??? I made this neat Pop-out card on Tuesday for my Tuesday tutorial. However, since I posted my paper and ribbon shares I decided to hold off for a day. But can we all say "Oooopppps! I forgot to post!!!" And for two day I forgot to post! I have been so busy lately trying to work on my swaps for Convention (I leave in 19 days!!!) and on my roomie gifts. Later I'll show you what swaps I chose to make this year!
Anywho...on to todays tutorial! Today I'm going to show you how to make a pop-out card!
2 - Turn your cardstock with the 3/4" score line at the top. Stamp your main focal point so that the image is just under the 3/4" line and inside of the 1" score lines at the 2" point. This will make more sense as you read on! I sponged my grass and sky so that my bird wasn't floating in mid air. I made a mistake though, you need to turn your cardstock over to sponge the bottom half and not this front side like I did. Woops! So, this is the front side....
3 - Turn it over and this is the bottom back. Again, this will make more sense as you go along and you see the finished card.
4 - From the front of the cardstock, use an exacto knife and carefully cut around your stamped image, from the 2" partial score line and above only! The score lines on both sides of my bird are from the partial score line at my 2" mark.
5 - Fold your cardstock on all of your fold lines and your card should look like this. Add some double sided tape to the 3/4" flap to secure it to the back of the card.
6 - Finish decorating your card. Here's the rest of my recipe:
Stamp set - Good Friend
Cardstock - White, Summer Sun, Regal Rose, Only Orange, Apricot Appeal
Stamp pad - Ballet Blue, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Glorious Green, Close to Cocoa
Accessories - Boho Flowers punch, Trio flower punch, Daisy punch (retired), dimensionals
If you push your card forward and fold it flat, it will fit into a card size envelope! Enjoy!
Let me know if you have any questions!
Happy Stampin' and TTFN!
