Hello Stampers! I wanted to show you a neat way to make a gift card holder!
Here is what mine looked like when I was finished. Here's how to make it:
1 - Start with a piece of cardstock that is 11" X 4 1/2". Score at 3", 5 1/2", and 8". My cardstock is Pumpkin Pie.
2 - Stamp your cardstock on both sides. I used the One Of a Kind stamp set with Pumpkin Pie ink.
3 - Fold your cardstock accordian style.
4 - Lay your cardstock so that the middle fold if your valley facing up. Adhere sticky strip in the shape of the letter C on only the second section from the left, as shown.
5 - Take off the backing of the sticky strip and fold the card together. This is what it will look like on it's side.
6 - Use the word window punch on the middle section (the doubled section) to form an opening for the gift card. I lined up the edge of my punch with the edge of the cardstock, and then had to go back and widen it a touch more.
7 - Slide the punch down to continue cutting the opening for the gift card. Remember, this should be cutting through two layers of cardstock.
8 - Slide your gift card in the opening and fold your holder up. Decorate as desired. I adhered a layer flower which I have given a tutorial for in an earlier post (Feb. 24th, 2009). I also adhered a piece of ribbon that was 16" so that I could tie the holder shut!
Let me know if you have any questions!
Happy Stampin' & TTFN!
