Hello Stampers!  I spent every free second that I had today pouring over the new SU! catalog!  You are just going to love it!  There are great new sets, and I LOVE the new In-colors!  They have polka dotted ribbon and markers in the new colors!!!  I'm so excited!

This is one of the new scrapbook borders that I came up with for my monthly border exchange group.  Every month we make a scrapbook border for ourselves and everybody else in our club!  It is so much fun!  Here's the recipe for mine:

Preschool Thank You's and More Retiring

Hello Stampers!  Tonight I had my monthly gathering of the Dancin' Moms club.  Hello gals!  We always have such a good time together!  I wanted to share with you my thank you cards that I made for my preschool families.

Aren't they cute???  I used the stamp set All In The Family and I personalized each card.  I also colored the hair to match the childs and I even colored my dress purple on all of them because they all know that Ms. Dina's favorite color is purple!  Here's the recipe:

Birthday gifts and Retiring Stuff

Hello Stampers!  It is a gorgeous day here today!  The girl's had dentist appointments this morning, and then we went to Grant's Farm.  Grant's Farm is this big animal park that you ride on trams to get through it.  They have tons of animals for you to see, feed, pet, and watch perform for you.  We go every year and still really enjoy it!

Today I wanted to show you some gifts that my daughter and I made for a birthday party that she went to.  The party was for twins, and the invitation said no gifts.  Well you know, you can't show up at a party without something, so we decided to make them a little something.

They each got a little basket with butterflies on it.  Inside each basket was...

a little matchbox with chocolates in it and decorated with the same butterfly,  and....

a Hershey bar in a slider card with the same butterfly!  Didn't they turn out cute???  I just love my butterfly die and my Big Shot!!!

I wanted to spend the rest of this month showing you some samples of cards and stuff made with some of the stamp sets that are retiring at the end of this month!  Don't forget that June 30 will be your last day to order these retiring items!  For a complete list, peek at my left sidebar under SU! Today I'm going to focus on the stamp set Heartfelt Thanks.  This card was one that I had made some time ago using embossing and reinker with baby wipes.

Tutorial Tuesday!

Hello Stampers!  I'm back with another Tutorial Tuesday!  Today I'm going to show you how to make this cute little 3D flower.  It was shown in one of the old retired SU! catalogs.

Here is my finished flower on a matchbox.  Isn't it cute??  Here's how you make one:

1 - Make your matchbox or any other box that you are going to place your flower on.  Punch out four scallop circles from designer series paper.  You will need to be sure and use a two sided paper since both sides will be showing.

2 - Cut three of the scallops in half and place a pop-up glue dot in the center of the fourth scallop.

3 - Take each half and turn it into a cone shape.  Adhere together with mini glue dot or strong double sided tape.

4 - Take each cone shape and adhere it, seam side down, onto the scallop circle with the pop up glue dot.  Continue until all six cones have been added.  You may need to move them around just a tad so that they are spaced evenly.

 5 - Finish off flower with a rhindestone brad in the center.  Wasn't that easy???

June Scrapbook Pages

Hello Stampers!  I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend!  Today I want to show you the scrapbook pages that we will be making at this month's scrapbook class.

I am totally loving my butterfly die!  Of course, when you make this page, yours will probably not say Amie on it!  You can customize your page to say whatever you would like!  Your butterfly patterns may vary, but all will be using the Candy Lane designer series paper.  Remember, this paper is about to retire, so if you would like some, you better order it fast!!!

This birthday party page also uses some great retiring designer series paper.  I bought some extra of this pack, Sweet Always, because I just love the color combination!

Monthly Card Class

Hello Stampers!  Today was a great day!  The weather was perfect and I got to stay inside and stamp almost all day!  I did have my windows open though so that I could enjoy the breeze!  I loved it!

Isn't this card cute?  I have seen several versions of this around for years.  I like this one because I think the little ruffles around the neck and legs is absolutely adorable!  This is my technique for the month too.  Here's the recipe:

Kid's Camp

Hello Stampers!  Well yesturday I started my Spring Cleaning.  That is what I call it, but it really takes me most of the summer!  I HATE to clean, so the way I do it is I pick a room each week.  That way I only have one day out of the week where I don't get any stamping done!  My daughter Amie has agreed to help me this year too.  She is money hungry!!!  But she is a good worker.  So yesturday, we tackled the Master bedroom and bath.  Next week, perhaps the Dining and Living room!  What fun!  I also got to go to the Cardinals baseball game last night!  My friend Cindy called me up and said that she had box seats for the game and wanted us to go!  We were so excited!  They were great seats!!!  Thanks Cindy!

Now for the cards from my Kid's camp on Wednesday.

I do some version of this card every year at my Kid's camps.  They always love this card!  It used the long retired SU! set Pocket Fun.  I will never part with that set!  Here's the recipe:

Punch Bunch cards

Hello Stampers!  Sorry I didn't get posted yesturday the cards using my Punch Bunch items.  It was a hectic day!  I was in a car accident bringing my daughter home from soccer tryouts.  Everybody is fine.  A 16 year old girl ran a red light, hit the car beside me, and he hit me.  Now we are having insurance problems already becuase she is claiming it wasn't her fault!  Go figure!  Now I'm without a car for awhile!  What a bummer!

Anyway, on to my cards!

I told you it was gorgeous!  I love the way this turned out!

Doesn't this look yummy!  I have also done this card with one of the wooden ice cream spoons tied off to one side!  Too cute!
