Hello Stampers! Welcome to my Tutorial Tuesday. Today I'm going to show you how to make a really cute 3 X 3 Window box.
Isn't this cute??? It is really easy to make too! Here's how:
1 - Hopefully you can understand this template. You can click on it to make it larger so that you can see the numbers better. Start with a piece of cardstock that is 8 5/8" X 6 1/4". Score your cardstock on the long side at 1", 4", 5", and 8".
Turn cardstock a quarter of a turn and score at 5/8", 1 5/8", 4 5/8", and 5 5/8".
Cut the window opening out with the sides at 1 3/8" and 3 5/8" in from the left side, the top should be at 2" down, and the bottom of the square at 4 1/4" down from top.
Cut off all of the spots marked with an X.
Cut along solid lines.
2 - This is what your cardstock should look like once you have finished scoring and cutting. Woops, I just noticed that I should have cut off the little flap at the bottom in the middle! Pretend like you don't see that!
3 - Stamp the design on your box and insert a window sheet using adhesive on the inside. Window sheet should be 2 1/2" X 2 1/2".
4 - Fold box on score lines. Use adhesive to seal the long sided flap inside of the box. Your box should now look like this from the back side.
Fold the side flaps in to close box. No adhesive is needed on these. If needed, cut away corners so that flaps slide in easier.
Embelish your box as desired and fill with goodies!
This is a box that I made for Valentine's Day. Look at those yummy peanut M & M's! I think that is the only reason that I make boxes and bags is so that I have an excuse to buy candy to fill them with for my pictures!!!
If you have any questions, or need clarification, please let me know!
Happy Stampin' and TTFN!
