Hello Stampers! Happy Tutorial Tuesday on a Wednesday! What a week it has been! And today, being Wild Wednesday in preschool terms, certainly lived up to it's name! The kids were wild today! They need Spring to get here soon! And so do I!!!
Speaking of Spring, here is a pic of my lovely daffodils! They look good now, but they may not look like this tomorrow! It was 80 degrees here yesturday, today's high was 39 degrees, and is supposed to get really cold tonight. Next week is Spring Break for us, I need it to be warm!!!
Now on to our Tutorial. Today I'm going to show you how to use your Crystal Effects! It looks great on cards to make things look like water or liquid. I have used it before in a stamped fish bowl to look like water too.
1 - The first thing you need to do is choose your image and stamp it. I just used black ink on white cardstock. The stamp set Cheers to You is the perfect set for this!
2 - Color your image as usual if needed. I used Stampin' Write markers.
3 - Gently squeeze out some crystal effects onto your image and use the applicator tip to help spread it around. DO NOT SHAKE THE BOTTLE! Completely fill in your image with a puddle, making sure you do not have any bubbles in it. It will take approximately 20 - 30 minutes to completely dry.
4 - Complete your card!
This is the card that we will be making at a party I'm doing on Friday! Here's the recipe:
Stamp set - Cheers to You, Cheers (Stampin' wheel)
Cardstock - Real Red, Yoyo Yellow, White
Stamp pad - Black, Real Red cartridge
Accessories - Red gingham ribbon, Crystal Effects, Markers
Happy Stampin' and TTFN!
