Hello Stampers! Today was my Easter Kid's Camp. The schools are all on Spring Break this week. They seemed to have a lot of fun! They got to make three items for Easter.
We started off easy because some of the girls had never stamped before. I like to start them off with just stamping backgrounds because it is easy and they get their confidence built up! Isn't this a cute card??? The body is the 1 3/4" ciclre punch, the head is the 1 3/8" circle punch, and the ears are small ovals. The pom pom is stuck on with a mini glue dot.
Next we made the Easter bunny baskets. This basket is super simple. Start with a 6" X 6" square scored on all sides at 2" and 4". We then put squares of designer series paper on the corner squares and formed our basket. The handle is held on by brads. The Easter Bunny is made from punches again. The face is the wide oval, ears are the large and small ovals, cheeks are the 1/2" circle, and eyes and nose are the 1/4" circle. We filled them with Easter grass and chocolate eggs of course.
Finally they made the little chick card. I CASE'd this card from dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com. So cute!!! This card is much more involved and they got to stamp, use markers, punches, ribbon, and my Big Shot!! They used the texturz plates with the big shot to get the embossed design on the Cameo Coral piece. They stamped Tempting Turquoise and Lovely Lilac with Itty Bitty Backgrounds on the white strip. The chick is from A Good Egg, and they used the scallop edge punch on the Certainly Celery! They were all able to make them, and they turned out really cute! Well here, judge for yourself:
Here are the girls that came, holding up their masterpieces!!! Hi girls!!!
Happy Stampin and TTFN!
