Owl Punches

Hello Stampers!  Have you noticed that there seems to be an owl craze going on now?  I find owl cards on tons of blogs and websites.  SU! even has some cute owl stamp sets.  I found this pattern for an

owl on the SU! demonstrator website and I had to try it out!  This owl is made entirely from current SU! punches!  Here's the punches used:

head - Round tab punch

eyes - 3/4" circle, 1/4" circle

beak - Boho blossoms

wings - scallop circle

body - 1 3/4" circle

feet - Boho blossoms

Hello Stampers!  I hope that you all had a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving!  I enjoyed spending some time with my family!  I have had some time to stamp today, and I'm so glad!  I've missed it this last couple of days!  And have I mentioned before that I Love My Big Shot!!!  Today I made this card which I CASE'd the idea from Patty at pattystamps.typepad.com and just tweeked it a little bit myself.  I love the hint of red on the card!  Here's the recipe:

Another Top Note card!

Hello Stampers!  I'm back home!  Sorry for not posting in a couple of days.  I have been gone on a scrapbooking weekend with some friends.  We left Friday afternoon and returned this afternoon.  I wasn't as productive as I would have liked to have been, because I was feeling pretty yucky all weekend.  I did go to the doctor today after I got home though and found out that I have a sinus infection.  So now I've got meds and am hopefully on the road to recovery.  Anywho.......

Don't you just love this card?  This is another one I made with my new Top Note die cut and my new SU! Sizzix Big Shot!  I love it!

Top Note Bag

Hello Stampers!  I didn't post yesturday because I'm still feeling a bit under the weather.  I hate cold season!

This is  a cute little bag that I made using my new Sizzix die cut machine with the Top Note die.  I also used the Snowflake #2 die for the snowflake on the cover.  There are two top note die cut pieces, one attached to each side of the paper lunch sack.  The lunch sacks measure 3 1/2" X 2" X 6 3/4".  I cut it down to 3" tall.  I just bought them in a package at Walmart.  I then die cut the snowflake and attached it to one of the top note die cuts.  I used my large oval punch to make the handles and simply tied them together with ribbon.  Also notice the BLING in the middle from my rhinestone brad!!

Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stack!

Hello Stampers!  I finally had some time to play with my new Big Shot today.  And guess what?  I LOVE IT!  I made some great Christmas cards, and a cute treat bag, and other neat stuff!  But for today I

want to show you what I came up with for my upcoming Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stack.  At my SAS we are going to be making 10 cards for $15.  We will make three of this cute reindeer card.  I used the Top Note die on the Sizzix.

Three of this really cute snowman card that my daughter Amie helped me create.  She used the Top Note die also!  Isn't it cute??

Three of this really cute stacked tree card.  I used the photo corners punch.

And one of this ADORABLE Santa card!  I just love this thing!!!  I CASE'd this from the Stampin' Up demonstrator web site!

Handmade Holiday Card Elements!

Hello Stampers!  Sorry I didn't post again yesturday!  I was feeling kinda yucky with a sore throat, and I had to get the house straightened up after the slumber birthday party Saturday night in order to have the family party last night!

I finally bought the SU! Handmade Holiday Card Elements kit.  I really like the simplicity and elegance of it.  This is one of the cards that I created with it.  I didn't get the coordinatling stamp set, To You &

Yours, so I used the Holidays & Wishes set.  I think the Merry Christmas stamp in it is very elegant looking too.  I think it works well together, what do you think?

I also like these earthy colors together.  They are Kraft, Ruby Red, Mellow Moss, and Vanilla.

Happy Birthday Amie!

Hello Stampers!  Today is my daughter Amie's 12th birthday! Only one more year before she becomes a teenager.  Please help me!!!

One of her favorite restaurants is Chevy's, so that is where she picked for dinner tonight.  They brought her a sombrero and some ice cream and sang Happy Birthday.  She loved it!

On with the stamping!

I started off my day today by cleaning up my stamping room.  I was just going to move a couple of small bookcases around, and five hours later I was finished!  Have you ever had a day like that?

I ended up cleaning out my bookcases, drawers, boxes, etc.  I really didn't have time to be doing all of that, but I did it anyway.  I'm glad I did too, because I came across my packet of make & takes from my SU! regional convention I went to in September!  I did not complete my make & takes there because I like to spend that time talking to others, swapping, and taking pictures.  I pulled my supplies out and completed my make & takes today!

This was a scrapbook page using the new in colors for this year.  It also used chipboard and a metal edged tag for the title.  I love the way it looks!  I'm going to use chipboard more often in my titles now!

 

This is a treat pouch.  It is actually in the shape of a triangle and you can put a package of candy inside.  The top flap folds over and is secured by dimentionals.  More of the new in colors!

I like this card!  There is designer series paper on the front.  The directions called for sewing the ribbon in the shape of a flower, but I just added a flower from the SU! pretties kit.  So much easier!!!  Very elegant looking don't you think?

This cute little packet holds three envelopes and three note cards inside!  The ribbon is tied all around the folder to keep it closed!  The next picture shows the inside of this folder!

This cute little basket was made on the new Big Shot!  And guess what?  I got mine in the mail today!  I'm so excited to sit down and play with it.  I will be showing you some samples that I make in the near future.  Once you see what all you can make, you will have to have one too!

This is  a card we made at a party I had last week.  The flower stem is a rub-on from the Hidden Garden set.  The flowers were punched out using the trio flower punch.  We put a dot of white in the middle of the flowers with the white gel pen.

This card is one that we will be making at a party I'm doing Friday evening.  The burst in the middle of the flower is a rub-on from the Hidden Garden set also. 

You can use the rub-ons on paper and most nonporous surfaces, including glass, photos, clipboards, candles, and more.  The rub-ons are designed to coordinate with some of the SU! stamp sets.  Each package of rub-ons contains two sheets of rub-ons in either black and white or chocolate chip and white.

Turkey Time!

Hello Stampers!  Happy Wednesday!  I guess I should say Wild Wednesday, at least it almost always is at preschool!  I'm telling you, the kids are always more wound up on Wednesdays!  I can't explain it!

I had a customer call the other day and needed some more Thanksgiving cards!  I needed to come up with something different!  So this is what I did!  I CASE'd the turkey pattern off of a card I saw on this blog, www.i-ink-therefore-i-am.blogspot.com, and I tweaked it a bit.  Isn't it cute!  Can you believe that I used 8 different SU! punches to create this card! Here they are:
