Hello Stampers! Happy Wednesday! I made a really cute card today with one of my new favorite stamp sets, Cheers to You and my new favorite background stamp, Polka Dot! But, before I show you my new card, I want to show you how to ink up and use a background stamp.
Now SU!'s background stamps are approximately 6" X 5". They are intended to stamp the entire background of your card in one stamping. Start out by picking out your stamp and your stamp pad color.
I find that the easiest way to ink it is to bring the stamp pad to the stamp. I often rub the stamp pad across the stamp and even pat it down all over.
After it is all inked, turn your stamp over on top of your cardstock. Line the stamp up with the edge of your cardstock if necessary. Apply even pressure all over the stamp, using both hands. I stand up to be sure that I am applying enough pressure.
Lift your stamp and admire your work!
Come back tomorrow and I will show you how to create rick rack out of cardstock and I will show you the card I created!
P.S. This is a cute little Halloween jar that I got from one of my preschool moms today (she is also a great customer of mine)! Isn't it cute! Thanks Angela!!!
Happy Stampin' and TTFN!
