I just love Fridays! Don't you! Everybody is always so excited for it to be Friday, but I'm not so sure why! Granted it is the end of a work week, but I work awfully hard all weekend too! My weekends are usually full of running the kids here, there, and everywhere!
This first card that I'm going to show you today is a card that I made for my sister for her birthday! Her birthday was last Wednesday, Happy Birthday Val! Val loves to camp, and she takes my girls camping every summer. When I first saw this new SU! set, Under the Stars, I knew I had to have it not only to make scrapbook pages, but also to make cards for my sis! I used Summer Sun and Close to Cocoa cardstock, I used the stamp set Family Phrases for the Happy Birthday, and I watercolored the bear and mosquito with my blender pens and stamp pads! I love this card!
I told you yesturday that I had a stamp camp tonight. These are two of the cards that we will be making tonight. Remember to click on the picture to make it larger. The card on the left was done using the In The Wild stamp set. I stamped the lion three times so that I could layer the face and mane and give it different colors. The background was done with the Sprinkles stamp set. The card color is Certainly Celery with a More Mustard frame. I tied two knots onto the side after I punched a hole with the Horizontal Slot punch. I used Moss gingham ribbon.
The card on the right was made with Pink Passion and Certainly Celery. The flowers are made using the Flower Fusion felt flowers layered with brads. I drew the stems with the Certainly Celery marker and stamped leaves from the Watercolor Garden stamp set (retired). I thought this card was really pretty, so I CASEd it from one of my favorite blogs to read, www.chicnscratch.typepad.com. Angie has great ideas on her blogs! But remember, if you go look at hers, please come back to mine!!!
Tomorrow I'll show you the other card and bookmark that we are making in my stamp camp tonight too!
Happy Stampin' and TTFN!
