Owl Punch ideas

Hello Stampers!  How many of you have the Owl Builder punch?  Have you made things with it other than just an owl?  It is so much fun to play with!  I have made things like ghosts, bats, reindeer, monsters, cat, and a penguin!

Back in September, I attended a Stampin' Up! event here in St. Louis called Unite & Excite.  There was a show n' tell table for demonstrators to bring items to share with all of us.  One of the displays was all of the things to make using the owl punch!

Here is what they looked like...

IMG_1838 Aren't the possibilities just amazing!!!

We were served snacks while at our event also.  Here is what they rolled into the room for us...

IMG_1873 Amazing!  I took some pictures from different sides too.

IMG_1874

IMG_1875 We got to pick out our choice when we went up, and the one that caught my eye from the start was the adorable Mr. Potato Head!!!

IMG_1877 Cute!  I can't wait to have some time to sit down and play with my Owl Builder punch some more and try to recreate some of these!  And can you believe all of these creations from a $16.95 punch!!

June team meeting show n' tell

Hello Stampers!  As I was posting the pictures from my recent team meeting, I realized that I hadn't ever posted pictures from the June meeting!  So here are some samples of projects that my team has been working on from the June meeting:

IMG_0866 This is one of those fun cards where the middle circles are attached with either bakers twine or dental floss.  You spin the circle around several times before putting it in the envelope.  Then, when the recipient takes it out of the envelope and opens the card, it spins around!  Too fun!

IMG_0867 I love the gold sparkels on this card!

IMG_0869 A great Father's Day card.  Love punch art!

IMG_0870 More masculine punch art!

IMG_0871 Doesn't this card look refreshing!!!

IMG_0872 Beautiful piece of framed art!

IMG_0874

IMG_0875 Love the polka dots using the Work of Art stamp set!

IMG_0876 Another Work of Art card!

IMG_0878

Thanks for stopping by to look at all of the projects my very talented team has been working on!  Let me know if you have any questions about what it means to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!  My team consists of everyone from hobbyists, who are their own best customer, to those trying to run a business and make an income!

May Kid's Class

Hello Stampers!  Every month I hold a kid's stamp class.  It is held during the day and is advertised to the home school association in the area.  Every month we made two cards and a 3D item.  Here are the cards that we made at this month's class:

IMG_0550 They loved making this 3D butterfly card!  So simple to make too!  All you need is three scallop circle punches (119854).  They are all three folded in half and adhered to each other.  Then adhere them to the card and they open up!  The adult card class attendees saw this card and then they begged to be able to make this card too!  How funny!

IMG_0551 They seemed to really like this birthday card too.  And of course I LOVE the elephant from the Zoo Babies stamp set (w-130453 c-130456).  I don't know if you can tell it from the picture of not, but the ear has been popped up using a dimensional.  We just stamped it a second time, cut it out, and popped it up!  Super cute!

IMG_0552 For their 3D item this month, they got to each make a card box to keep their cards in!  They got to pick out the designer series paper that they wanted to go around the box.  They decorated them with lots of punches and other accessories they could find.

I love teaching these kid's classes!  They are so sweet!  One of my students, Emily, even brought me a card that she made!

Next month we are hoping that more kids will be able to join us since we are on summer vacation!

Our next class will be Thursday, June 12th at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Arnold!  All are welcome to join us!  Just let me know so I have enough supplies cut!

Punch Art penguin

Hello Stampers!  Yesterday was my daughter's birthday, so Happy 19th Birthday to my sweet oldest baby girl!

Casie loves penguins, so I always try to make her different penguin cards.  I needed a new punch art idea, so I jumped on to pinterest to see what I could find!  I took the ideas from a couple of different penguins, and this is what I came up with!

  P1140196

Isn't it super cute?  And I have to say that I love the new In-colors from Stampin' Up!  This card is Strawberry Slush and the penguin is wearing a bow made from the super fun Ruffle Stretch Trim (130023) in Strawberry Slush too!

P1140234

I am currently doing a ribbon share with the new 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim!  You get two yards of each of the five new In-Colors, for only $11!  Let me know if you want in on the share!

Today was my Creative Escape!  It was fabulous!  I'm hoping to post some pictures tomorrow!

Mickey Mouse notebook

Hello Stampers!  I am so enjoying my little vacation here in sunny Florida!  On Tuesday, we spent the day at Magic Kingdom!

P1130157-001It really is a magical place!

Yesterday was just a relaxing day spent getting my girls to the airport and then meeting up with my Leadership roomies at our hotel.  It was a gorgeous day and we spent some time just lounging by the pool!

Today is check-in day and tonight is Manager's Reception!  I'm so excited for tonight because they are renting out the entire Wizarding World of Harry Potter for just us!!!

Today I want to show you the roomie gifts that I made for the Sue's!

P1130018-001Aren't they fun?  I always make notebooks for my roomies to both Leadership and Convention!  There is always lots of opportunity to take notes, and the programs they give us don't have a lot of room for extra notes, so I always make more!

I'll try to get a post in tomorrow, but it will be a cram packed day, so don't know if I'll get it done!

Thanks for stopping by!

Reindeer clips

Hello Stampers!  I have some super cute reindeer clips that we have made in a couple of my classes lately to show you.

P1120903-001Aren't they adorable?  And super easy to make!  They are actually on clothespins, so they would be super cute clipped on the ribbon of a present!

Can you tell which punches they are made from?  The head, eyes, and nose are from the Owl Builder punch (118074) and the antlers are from the Bird Builder punch (117191).

I used my all time favorite Christmas designer series paper, Be of Good Cheer (126896) to cover both sides of the clothespin!

These will be super cute with hearts for Valentine's Day, The Easter Bunny for Easter, etc!  Can't wait to see what else I can come up with!

Candy Corn box and Witch hat

Hello Stampers!  Happy Halloween!  I have the cutest candy corn box to show you today!  I cased this box from Ronda Wade.  I have a friend that loves candy corn like I do!  Every year I try to make her a little something that has to do with candy corn.

P1120749This was made using the Top Note Die (113463) with the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439).

This is a fun paper mache' witch hat that I made using the Howlstooth & Scaringbone designer series paper (126906).

P1120788One of my team members, Sarah, actually made one of these and I absolutely loved it and knew that I had to make one for myself!!!  Isn't it super cute?  Thanks Sarah for the wonderful idea!

WOW cards and a Fall card swap

Hello Stampers!  Tomorrow are my monthly WOW classes.  We will be making three projects that just make you say WOW when you see them!  Here is one of the cards we will be making:

Every month at my Dink It Up! group meeting, we hold a swap.  Last month, our theme was Fall.  Today I wanted to show you some of the cards that I received.

P1120662This card was made by Anne.  She actually made the candy corn that you see in the jar!

P1120661This card was made by Julie A.  Gotta love the triple layer cards!  These colors are pretty together!

P1120660Alice Marie made this fun turkey card!  There's that candy corn again!!

Beer Mug birthday card

Hello Stampers!  Last month my sister had a birthday, so of course I made her a card!  She's not real into all of the flowers, lacy, and frilly stuff, so I made her a fun card!  And of course, as you can see in the picture, I sent it late!  For someone who makes cards, I sure have a hard time getting them sent out on time!!!

P1120684This card was really easy to make!  The beer mug is just vellum cardstock (101856) run through the crimper.  The handle was made by punching the Large Oval (119855) first from vellum cardstock and then punching the Extra-Large Oval (119859) around it to form the handle shape.

Give it a try and let me see what you come up with!

Santa Hershey bar

Hello Stampers!  Every year for the craft fairs I make a Hershey bar cover.  This year I went simple because I was short on time, but I'm still happy with the results.

P1120730-001Aren't they fun?  Be watching my 12 weeks of Christmas newsletter and I will give the directions for making these!

Cellophane bags hold marshmallows!

Hello Stampers!  Guess what I discovered!!!  Mini marshmallows fit perfectly inside of our 1" X 8" Cellophane bags (124134)!  Look:

P1120728I needed to bag up some marshmallows for my hot chocolate packets that I am selling at my craft fairs this Fall.  Isn't this great?

P1120729See how fun they are in these boxes?  I love them!

Leave me a comment and let me know of all the other things you have put in these fun sized bags!!!

Halloween Pop Up Card

Hello Stampers!  I held my September WOW classes yesturday and I just had to share with you one of the cards that we made!

P1120676-001Isn't this the cutest thing???  All of the creatures were made using the Owl Builder punch (118074).  I love that punch and use it a lot!

I have a super cute baby card that we will be making at my October WOW class!  Watch for my October newsletter.  There will be a picture of it there!

Twirly cards and Punch Art cards

Hello Stampers!  I've got more to show you from my friend, and now downline, Lisa!  She is so creative!

P1120548These are the fun cards that you make using a piece of dental floss, or now the baker's twine.  You just sandwich a piece of twine between two circles that have been stamped and punched out.  The twine is also sandwiched between the card layers so that it is free to twirl around.

P1120549These are some cards that Lisa's daughters, Rachael and Helen made!  Rachael made the Pokiman and Pac Man ones, and Helen made the Cookie Monster card.

P1120550These are the insides of the cards.  Rachael claims she made the Pokiman guy out of the Owl Builder Punch (118074)!  They are both super talented, just like their mom!
