Dance Recital Invitation

Hello Stampers!  Today was the first full day of summer vacation for my girls!  Amie went to Six Flags all day with the neighbors, and Casie came to my work luncheon with me and babysat!  At least they were both somewhat active!  I got a really neat stepping stone for my garden as a present at my luncheon, but since I forgot to take a picture of it when it was light out today, I'll have to show you that tomorrow!  On to stamping!

Sample box This is a card that I created for one of my customers who wanted invitations for her daughter's first dance recital!  Her daughter has blonde hair and her dance costume was pink, so I made a mini her!  Isn't it cute???

Here's the recipe:

Stamp set - All In The Family, Family Accessories, Hugs & Wishes

Cardstock - Pink Passion, Pretty In Pink, White

Stamp pad - Pink Passion, Black

Accessories - Corner Rounder punch, Wide oval punch, Eyelet Border punch, Gingham Ribbon, Markers

Happy Stampin' and TTFN!

Tutorial Tuesday - Filmstrips

Hello Stampers!  Well, the weather is finally starting to turn around here in St. Louis.  Hopefully we will really get kicked into Spring and we can kiss the cold weather goodbye!  Today I wanted to show you how to make the filmstrips on a card.

Blog 452 This is the card that I will be making.  I just love the stamp set Under The Stars!  And I believe this may be my sister's next birthday card!

Here's how to make it:

Blog 449 1 - Start by picking out your stamp set and stamping your image.  Punch out your images using one of the square punches.  I used the 1 3/8" square punch.  Color your images.

Blog 450 2 - Using your Spiral punch, punch down both sides of your strip of black cardstock.  This punch is very simple to use.  Turn the punch over and punch your first holes.  When you move your punch down, there is a guide that fits into your first punches to help you line up your next punches.

Blog 451 3 - This is what your finished strip will look like.  Adhere punched out images and decorate the rest of your card!

Blog 454 Here is a birthday invitation that I made.  This was made using the Level 1 hostess set, Darling Dots.

Have fun making some of your own!  I'd love to see what you come up with!

Happy Stampin' and TTFN!
