Graduation party invitation

Hello Stampers!  Today I want to share with you a project I have been working on the last few days!  My youngest daughter is graduating high school this year, so it is time for all of the graduation parties!  Here is the invitation that I made to include in her announcements:

1-IMG_4031 I made these like a postcard with the information on the back side.  That way I could just slip them inside of her formal announcements.  I have complete instructions of how to make these and the supplies  I used in my April newsletter.  What?  You aren't a subscriber to my monthly newsletter?  Then hop over to my Inkin With Dink blog at www.inkinwithdink.com and get signed up today!  The sign up form is in the top left corner of my blog!

Graduation pop up card

Hello Stampers!  May is full of graduations!  We recently were invited to a party for a friend of ours.  Their daughter just graduated college!  So, of course I needed to make a card!

I was looking for something different though.  Something that would make me go WOW!

So, of course, I turned to pinterest!  I came across this blog which gave directions for a wonderful pop up graduation card, and I knew I had to make one!

Want to see how it turned out?

IMG_0537 Here is the outside of the card.  I used the Blue Ribbon stamp set.  What a great and versatile set!

But here is the inside, the part that really makes you say WOW!

IMG_0538 This pop up cap was super easy and make and the directions were simple to follow!  Give it a try the next time you need to make a graduation card!

Thanks for stopping by, and remember, only a little while longer until the retiring items will all be gone forever!

Blue Ribbon Graduation cards

Hello Stampers!  I hope you all are enjoying your long Memorial Day weekend!  This is such a busy time of year for everybody with the end of the school year, graduations, confirmations, etc.

I had a friend order some graduation cards from me, and since I love the Blue Ribbon stamp set (w-131964 c-125981) more and more every time I use it, I thought I would give it a try for graduation cards!  How do you think it turned out?

P1140128-001 I love them!  I like that I can color them to coordinate with the school colors too!  And they are great for masculine cards as well.  Here is an up close look:

P1140129-001 If you don't have this stamp set yet, you really should get it!  It is fun to play with and great for masculine cards too!

Tassel Time graduation thank yous

Hello Stampers!  I recently had to come up with a simple thank you card for my daughter to send out.  I didn't want to spend a ton of time on them since even if someone loved the thank you card, it isn't likely to end up on somebody's mantel!  So, I came up with this design.

P1110413I used my only graduation stamp set that I own, Tassel Time, which retired years ago.  I just love it though and can't part with it!  For the sentiment I used the current set, Fabulous Phrases (117002).

I did have to use my Labels Collection framelits (125598) with my Big Shot because they can make projects look elegant with little work!

If you need to order any supplies for some upcoming thank you cards you may need to make then hop over to my Inkin With Dink online store and place your order today!

Don't forget about my specials going on!

Hello Stampers! I told you the other day that it is all graduation around my house!  Today I wanted to show you the banner that I made and the party favors!

P1110337That is one long banner!

P1110338Here is a close-up of some of the letters.

P1110339Another close-up.  I actually made this banner using My Digital Studio!  The actual pennant shapes is from the pennant punch download.  I just filled each punch in with Crushed Curry polka-dot designer series paper!  I love that I can still use colors that have retired!  I printed two banner shapes out on each piece of 8 1/2" X 11" cardstock and cut them out.  The letters are also punches so I filled each of them in with the same designer series paper so they coordinated.

I printed it all out on my home printer.  The letters were punched out using the 1 3/8" circle punch and matted on the scallop circle punch.  They are adhered with dimensionals over pieces of black Scallop Dots ribbon!

Each flag is held on to the next one using a brad.  So simple and fun!

Now for the party favors.

P1110340This is the top of the box.

P1110341This is looking inside of the box.  I actually used the retired matchbox die (which I was super sad to see go).  I only used half of the lid so that I could hinge it on.  I adhered a 3" square to the top after I embossed it with the Square Lattice embossing folder.  My daughter made all of the tassels out of yarn and we made these as party favors for her graduation party!  Everybody loved them!

The nugget wrappers for the inside were stamped using the It's a Wrap Occasions stamp set!  Love that set too!!!

Happy Graduation!

Hello Stampers!  It is all about graduation at my house this weekend!  My oldest daughter, Casie, is graduating from high school today!  Today I wanted to show you the graduation cards that I made this year and CASED from Mary Rindal's blog!

P1110342Here is the front.

P1110343This is how it opens up!  How fun is that???

Here is a tutorial for you:

1.  Start with a 9 3/4" X 4 1/4" piece of cardstock.

P1110344
2.  Place it on your Simply Score and score it at 4 1/2".

P1110345
3.  Now place it on your diagonal Simply Score.  Score it diagonally at the 2 1/8" mark.  Flip the cardstock over and score the other long side at the 2 1/8" mark again.

P1110346
This is what it should look like at this point.

P1110347
4.  Now turn the cardstock the other way on the Simply Score and score it again at the 2 1/8" mark.  Again flip it over and do the other side.

P1110348-001
This is what your cardstock will look like at this point.

P1110349-001
5.  Cut off the top triangles.

P1110350-001
6.  Fold on all score lines and push sides in like the picture shows!  That's it!  It is very fun and easy!

For my cards, I cut a separate piece of cardstock 3" X 3".  I ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder and adhered it to the top of the card.  The tassel was made from a piece of frayed grosgrain ribbon.

Have fun making them and let me know if you have any questions!  Come back tomorrow and see my banner and party favors!

Hybrid Graduation cards

Hello Stampers!  I have a customer who ordered several graduation cards from me recently.  And, since I have a senior this year, I figured I am going to be needing several cards too, so I sat down and cranked out several cards this week!

Now, I only have one graduation stamp set, Tassel Time, and it retired several years ago!  However, I do own My Digital Studio!!!  So I decided to download a set which I came close to ordering a couple of years ago, but didn't, Go Graduate.

Here are the hybrid cards I designed:

P1110080The feet along the bottom of the card are from My Digital Studio (118108)!  I just placed several of them on a card front and then printed them out and cut them apart.  The graduation cap is from the Tassel Time stamp set.  The school letters are from the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) and the Timeless Type alphabet die set (115951).

The Timeless Type alphabet dies are getting ready to retire, so you better hop over to my Inkin With Dink online store and order your set today before they are gone!!!

My Digital Studio project and downloads

Hello Stampers!  It's Tuesday, so that must mean it is time for a My Digital Studio project and this week's downloads!

My daughter Casie is a senior this year, so the time is drawing near to start making graduation plans.  She wanted to use My Digital Studio to make her party invitations so that she could personalize them.  Here's what we came up with:

Grad party invites-001
We used the Go Graduate Plus card template and just made some changes to it to make it our own!  We changed the colors so that it matched her school colors.  We added the flower at the top and the graduation caps by the writing.  Instead of a card, we wanted this to be just a postcard that we could fit it inside her graduation announcements, so we shrank the size and added the information.  It was really very fun and easy!

Tassel Time graduation cards

Hello Stampers!  I needed some graduation cards the other day, so I whipped these up.   I know, this stamp set is long ago retired, but I love this set!  It is called Tassel Time.

Blog 1534 I made these cards in the school colors of the kids that were graduating.  The graduation hats were stamped, colored, and then adhered with dimensionals so they would pop up!

I will make these in customized colors, so let me know if you need any handmade graduation cards!  They are $2.50 each.

Tassel Time graduation cards

Hello Stampers!  I had two graduation cards that I needed to make this year.  I pulled out my trusty Tassel Time stamp set that has been retired.  I just love that stamp set!  This is what I came up with:

Blog 1130 I actually saw similar cards on Annette's blog, so I just tweeked them a bit.  Thanks Annette for the great idea!  I like the way these turned out.  I did them in the school colors of the two individuals I was sending them to.  I used dimensionals to pop up the diploma and the graduation cap.

Graduation card and Candy Poster

Hello Stampers!  WOW what a busy time of year it is at our house!  I'm sure your house is the same way!  One day at a time is how we get through it!

Wednesday was our last day of preschool for the year.  We will have our picnic tomorrow and our graduation ceremony is Monday evening, and then I will be done!  We always do fun end of the year gifts, and I like to make little gift cards to go with them.  Here is the one I made this year:

Blog 1110 I know, these sets are retired, but I think they are so cute!  The smiley face is from the stamp set Smile, and the graduation hat is from the set Tassle Time.

We also got a fun candy poster from one of our kids.  It was so neat that I wanted to share it with you!

Blog 1109 Thanks Hayden (and Nikki for making the poster!)!  Some people are just so creative!  I really will miss the kids!
