Alternate craft project & Sale-a-bration feature

Hello Stampers!  If you are a real crafter at heart, you will understand that I certainly have other crafting loves besides my card making.  I like to scrapbook, quilt, paint, and lots of other papercrafting.  Every month I get to be a participant at a Silhouette class.  I love it because it is a class that I don't have to plan, prep, or clean up after!  So fun!  My March class was this last week so I thought I would share with you the project that we made this month.

Easter project, Inkin With Dink

Isn't it fun?  It was a fun class!  We pinted the background of our canvas using the freezer paper method!  I haven't ever tried that method before!  Now I may have to try it on a card too!  The other pieces we cut out using our e-cutter machines.

Thanks for stopping by to see  my latest craft project.

Well, unfortunately, Sale-a-bration is about to come to an end.  I have decided to showcase the Sale-a-bration products in my blog posts for the rest of this month.  Most days I will feature one or two projects using a Sale-a-bration item.  Come back tomorrow and see some projects using the Avant Garden stamp set!  It is a beautiful stamp set!

Honeycomb Happiness samples

Hello Stampers!  Did you know that Sale-a-bration is wrapping up?  That's right!  There are only 4 more days to get some products for FREE!  Over the next 4 days, I'm going to be showcasing some of the products that you can receive for FREE during this time.

Today we are going to be looking at the stamp set, Honeycomb Happiness.

This is such an adorable set, and it coordinates with the Honeycomb Embellishments from the Occasions catalog.  The little chick image is cute for Easter, or any occasion.

IMG_6433-001 This is the Easter basket that we made at our February team meeting!

IMG_6434-001 This shows how you would mail the Honeycomb embellishments.  Simply adhere it unopened and then you could add a little note that they needed to open it up when they received it!

Happy Easter!

Hello Stampers!  Happy Easter!  I hope that you have all had a great day with family!

Even though my girls are getting older, I can't help but make some cute Easter things for them!  This year I was checking out Pinterest and found the cute Easter baskets made out of movie theater boxes of candy.  So, I decided to give it a try!

IMG_6463-001 They were super simple and turned out so cute.

For each box I just used 4 boxes of candy and hot glued them to a piece of cardboard from one of our designer series paper packs.

Of course I had to make a cute tag too, so this is what I came up with:

IMG_6464-001 The bunny is made with the Friends & Flowers stamp set from the Occasions catalog and the coordinating Festive Flower Builder punch!

Sale-a-bration is almost over, so this week I will be featuring the Sale-a-bration products that are available!

3 X 3 Envelope Bunny Treat Holder

Hello Stampers!  At my last Cardinal Stampers team meeting, I was in charge of the make n' take projects!  I led the ladies through making 5 Easter projects.  They were so cute and the ladies seemed to really like them!  Want to see one of them?

IMG_6289-001 Aren't they cute?  These are 3 X 3 Envelope Bunny treat holders.  They are simply made from a Square 3 X 3 envelope from Stampin' Up!  Here's a video I made on how to make them!

January team meeting

Hello Stampers!  Last week was our January team meeting.  It is such a great time!  This time we met in a frozen custard store! They had a meeting room in the back, plus we got to eat dessert!

We had a swap with the theme of "anything new" which could be from the new Occasions catalog or the Sale-a-bration flyer.  Here is what I received:

IMG_6188 My card.  Take a look at the propeller!  Isn't it super cute!  I actually first saw this by one of my customers.  I have a few ladies that like to bring cards that they have made to my classes for show n' tell!  I loved the idea so had to CASE it!

Wouldn't you LOVE to join in on our swaps?  Now is a terrific time to join Stampin' Up!  You get to pick out $155 worth of product for only $99!  Plus the shipping is FREE!  And remember, you get out of your demonstratorship what you want.  If you just want to stay a hobbyist and get your discount, you certainly can!  If you would like to make some money at it, you certainly can do that too!  It's your choice!  Let me know if you have any questions!

Framed punch art

Hello Stampers!  Darn it!  I missed another day of posting!  This is harder than I thought to post 5 days a week!  Let's keep at it until I get it right!!!  Tomorrow I'll show the next stamp set that I will be giving away!

Today I wanted to show you a gift that my upline gave me at Convention.  It is just a fun thing that we do every year, make gifts for other demonstrators!

IMG_5180 It is a framed art piece.  Isn't it cute?  And look at the other inserts she made:

IMG_5181 I think that they are super cute!  Thanks again Jeri!

Jeri likes to do punch art and our gifts and her swaps usually involve some type of punch art.

Kid's card class

Hello Stampers! Well, my kid's class is over for this month, but I just had to show you the projects that we made!   I love them!

IMG_3679 This card was pretty easy!  The kids just took strips of designer series paper and adhered them onto a piece of white cardstock in whatever order they liked.  We then used the Oval Collections framelits to cut it out!  It was that simple! The part that took the longest was them trying to figure out which side of each strip of designer series paper they liked the best and then what order they wanted to put them in!

IMG_3677 This fun card is a cell phone!  I got this idea from my upline!  What a great use for the Just Sayin' stamp set and coordinating framelits!

IMG_3678 This project was probably my favorite!  Don't you just love a bunny bum??  We used the Circle Treat Cups and several punches to create these!  We put Easter colored M & M's in their cups!  YUM!

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my kid's class projects!  Let me know if you have any questions!

Stamping event

Hello Stampers!  Earlier this month I was able to attend a special stamping event for Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  It was a full day event and it was a lot of fun!  There were freebies, make n' takes, display boards, demonstrations, and a service project!  Here are some pictures:

IMG_3636 This is all of my goodies that I came home with!  The berry basket was full of samples from the Occasions catalog, including ribbon, buttons, designer series paper samples, bakers twine, and of course some chocolate!  The curvy keepsake box is a gift I received from another demonstrator.  The heart below it is my nametag!  Super cute with the Bow Builder punch!

The two tags on the left side were demonstration examples that I made showing the Bokah technique and using the new chalkboard ink.

Finally, in front are the make n' takes from the day.  Here they are up close:

IMG_3632 This butterfly was cut out of the Irresistably Yours designer series paper that we colored with sponge daubers and a stamp pad.

IMG_3633 This card used the Love is Kindness stamp, which we received at the event.  The beautiful tulips were colored with Blendabilities.

IMG_3634 This fun card uses the Cheerful Critters stamp set, one of my favorites!  To get the bunny's pink outfit, we simply stamped the stamp on pink cardstock and cut out the dress part only.

IMG_3635 This fun step card was made using the Painted Petals stamp set and the Painted Blooms designer series paper.  Such a fun card!

IMG_3630 This is the gift card holder that we made using the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits die which was carried over from the Holiday catalog.

IMG_3631 Love the idea of putting some designer series paper inside!!!

IMG_3629 This is the gift bag card we made using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits die.  I was going to hold out and not purchase this die, but finally broke down and ordered it!  It's on it's way now and I can't wait to get it and start playing!  Be watching for some creations!

Thanks for checking out the fun stuff that we made at this event!  Can't wait for the next one!

IMG_3659 This card was made by Karen.

IMG_3660 This card was made by Tracy.

IMG_3661 This card was made by Laura.  Laura used the new Bokah technique.  I learned how to do this technique at a Stampin' Up! event I recently attended.  It is a fun technique and I hope to do a tutorial on it soon!
