Paper Pumpkin banner

Hello Stampers!  After the fabulous OnStage event over the weekend, I spend a couple of days with my mom.  I love it when we get together and craft!  This time I brought along my October paper pumpkin kit with the idea that we would make banners!  I saw this banner on a blog hop and knew I had to make a similar one for myself!  Here is a picture of my completed banner:

Family blocks

Hello Stampers!  Monday's are my days to show you other crafts that I have been working on.  Today's project is one that I just love!

IMG_7851-001 Isn't this fun?  I painted the blocks first.  Then added a layer of designer series paper.  On top of that is the vinyl letters that were cut using a Silhouette.  So simple and fun!  But, I wanted something that as going to be very functional, so I did this to the other side:

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you enjoyed this project!

Happy Monday!

Hello Stampers!  I've told you all before that I have decided to make Friday my other craft day!  I have so many craft projects partially done sitting around and I'm also taking classes learning how to use my Silhouette Machine, so Friday's are my days to do these things!

Last Friday was my Silhouette class.  Do you want to see the project we made?  It is so cute!

It is a booklet with pockets!

IMG_7692 This is the front cover.  We cut out the flowers and pieced the green pieces in!

IMG_7693 These are the first two pages.  The black gingham section is a pocket.

IMG_7694 Pages three and four.

IMG_7695 Pages five and six.  Both of these pages contain pockets.

IMG_7696 Pages seven and eight.  No pockets here!

Stamping Vacation

Hello Stampers!  Did you read the title to this post?  It sounds like I'm going to be taking a vacation from stamping doesn't it?  Well, no way!!!  I love to stamp and I love it when I can stamp every day!  Who could possibly want to take a vacation from it?  Not me!

Any way, Stamping Vacation is where I was this last weekend!  A couple of demonstrators (Julie Davison and Meg Loven) put on this fabulous stamping day every year in Champaign, Illinois every year and I was lucky enough to be able to attend this year again.  I went to it a couple of years ago and loved it and so wanted to go again!  It is a day long event filled with stamping, demonstrations, business tips, etc.

Want to see some pictures?

IMG_7570 I thought this little flag was so cute!

IMG_7511 Here is a picture of me and my team member Julie who went with me this year!

IMG_7466 This was a sample of the Smack Down technique!

IMG_7472 These fun tags were on a display table.

IMG_7488 These next couple of cards were on one of the display boards.

IMG_7557 We had a demonstration on shaker cards.

It was a great day!  Come back tomorrow and I'll show you my swap cards that I received!

Canvas painting

Hello Stampers!  I have found through the years that when you find someone who loves to craft, they usually love to craft in lots of different ways.  I have always been a fairly crafty and I have tried several different types of crafts.  I have obviously handed down my love of crafts to my oldest daughter, Casie.

Casie has just recently discovered Project Life!  She loves it and in fact we even had a Project Life party with some of her friends on Friday evening!  These girls were a lot of fun!  Casie also loves to sew and paint!

I saw this really neat sign at a craft fair that a home based business woman had at her table.  It was about wanting hostesses for parties.  I decided I wanted one, but I wanted it small enough to carry around to my craft fairs.  Casie had some free time last week and this is what she painted for me:

IMG_7401 Isn't it great?  She found some designs she liked on pinterest and tweeked them a little until we were both happy with it.  She cut out a template using our Silhouette Cameo and then traced her design on a 12 X 12 canvas.  Then she hand painted it!  It really didn't take her very long since she is getting really good at it!

Thanks Casie!  So glad I handed down this crafty gene to you!

Happy 4th of July!

Hello Stampers!  I hope that you all are enjoying a great long weekend with your family and friends!  I made a cute patriotic card using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits a few days ago to share with you all today!  Wouldn't you love to see it?  Yeah, me too!

I started a super deep clean of my stamping room a couple of days ago, and I totally tore my room apart, top, bottom, drawers, shelves, etc.  I am just about to get it put all back together, but guess what?  I can't find the 4th of July card!  When I do find it, if I do find it, I will certainly share it with you!

Until then, one of my super sweet team members brought me a 4th of July gift this morning!  So, I'm going to share that with you instead!

IMG_7365 Isn't this super cute?

She used the banners from the June Paper Pumpkin kit!  The 4th and banner are from the Number of Years stamp set and coordinating Large Numbers Framelits. And of course the inside is filled with the patriotic Skittles!  Yum!

Thanks Lisa and Rachael for this great gift and for sharing your talents with us!

Vase with flowers and matching card

Hello Stampers!  Every week I give myself one day to have fun with my crafting!  Some times that may mean doing some other type of crafting besides my stamping, and sometimes my crafting may include my stamping!

I received a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas 2 1/2 years ago.  I took it out of the box and played that day, and then didn't touch it again for 2 years!  I know, I know!  Well, a few months ago I decided it was time to start playing with it and learning how to use my machine!  I found a local craft store that offer monthly Silhouette classes, so I signed myself up!  The first class was just showing us how to use the machine and we made a simple project.  Since then, I attend project classes where we create something.

It is so much fun to actually go to a class that I haven't designed, and prepped for!  I like being the student!

Today I am going to share with you the project that we made a couple of month's ago.

IMG_7051 For this project we cut out the flowers and assembled them.  We painted the jar with acryllic paint.  We stencilled the burlap band for the jar and adhered it.  The card is a shaker card!  I love it and I'm so excited that now Stampin' Up! has a jar stamp set that we can create shaker cards with too!!!  It is a bundle with the stamp set Jar of Love and the Everyday Jars framelits.

For the card we cut out all of the layers and then sketched the sentiment and cut it out too!  So much to learn on this project!

Hope you enjoyed this project.  I will keep showing them to you as I complete them!  Thanks for stopping by!
