July team swaps

Hello Stampers!  Today I thought I would share with you the swaps that I received at my last team meeting!  Our theme for the month of July was anything from the new catalog!  Here is what they came up with:

IMG_7572 This card was made by Kathy.

IMG_7573 This card was made by Alice.

IMG_7574 This card was made by Pat B.

IMG_7575 This card was made by Lynn.  I had not even noticed these framelits in the catalog and I think I have to have them!!!

IMG_7576 This card was made by Karen.

IMG_7577 This card was made by Laura.  For the white on the flowers she used a white stamp pad with a blender pen!

IMG_7578 This card was mad by Debbie H.

IMG_7580 This card was made by Sheila.

IMG_7583 This card was made by Pat V.

IMG_7584 This card was made by Julie.

IMG_7585 This is the card that I made.    For this card I used the new stamp set Marquee Messages.  I wanted to show that you could use the stamp set without the big marquee sign.  I just love the font of the words!  The circles and scallop circles are cut out using the Layering Circles Framelits.  I love these because you can find all sizes of circles and scalloped cirles for matting! Finally I have one of the new Delicate White Doilies behind!  They are a touch smaller than the old ones were!

Thanks for stopping by!  Would you love to join in our next team swap?  Contact me and we can chat about you joining our team!

Stamping Vacation

Hello Stampers!  Did you read the title to this post?  It sounds like I'm going to be taking a vacation from stamping doesn't it?  Well, no way!!!  I love to stamp and I love it when I can stamp every day!  Who could possibly want to take a vacation from it?  Not me!

Any way, Stamping Vacation is where I was this last weekend!  A couple of demonstrators (Julie Davison and Meg Loven) put on this fabulous stamping day every year in Champaign, Illinois every year and I was lucky enough to be able to attend this year again.  I went to it a couple of years ago and loved it and so wanted to go again!  It is a day long event filled with stamping, demonstrations, business tips, etc.

Want to see some pictures?

IMG_7570 I thought this little flag was so cute!

IMG_7511 Here is a picture of me and my team member Julie who went with me this year!

IMG_7466 This was a sample of the Smack Down technique!

IMG_7472 These fun tags were on a display table.

IMG_7488 These next couple of cards were on one of the display boards.

IMG_7557 We had a demonstration on shaker cards.

IMG_7520 We had a demonstration on slider cards.

It was a great day!  Come back tomorrow and I'll show you my swap cards that I received!

Canvas painting

Hello Stampers!  I have found through the years that when you find someone who loves to craft, they usually love to craft in lots of different ways.  I have always been a fairly crafty and I have tried several different types of crafts.  I have obviously handed down my love of crafts to my oldest daughter, Casie.

Casie has just recently discovered Project Life!  She loves it and in fact we even had a Project Life party with some of her friends on Friday evening!  These girls were a lot of fun!  Casie also loves to sew and paint!

I saw this really neat sign at a craft fair that a home based business woman had at her table.  It was about wanting hostesses for parties.  I decided I wanted one, but I wanted it small enough to carry around to my craft fairs.  Casie had some free time last week and this is what she painted for me:

IMG_7401 Isn't it great?  She found some designs she liked on pinterest and tweeked them a little until we were both happy with it.  She cut out a template using our Silhouette Cameo and then traced her design on a 12 X 12 canvas.  Then she hand painted it!  It really didn't take her very long since she is getting really good at it!

Thanks Casie!  So glad I handed down this crafty gene to you!

Happy Birthday Hershey's Kisses!

Hello Stampers!  Did you know that Hershey's Kisses just celebrated their birthday?  That's right!  Hershey's Kisses celebrated their birthday on July 7th!  Now I know you are asking how in the world I knew that!!!

I received a card in the mail celebrating!  That's right!  This came:

Isn't this a cute card?  My friend Julie sent me this card!  I love it!  Thanks Julie!  The silver foil paper works great for the wrapping!  My only question was where are the kisses that the tags came off of???????

I received something else fun today too!  I had loaned a friend a pack of Night of Navy cardstock while she was waiting for her order to come in, and she brought it back tonight with this super cute tag attached!

IMG_7379 Love it!  Thanks Lisa!  I just love all of the friends that I have made through my Stampin' Up! business!  I am blessed!

Hello Stampers!  I have decided that on Fridays I'm going to work on other crafts that I love to do!  I have always been a very crafty person.  I like to cross-stitch, quilt, scrapbook, paint, stamp, etc.  I ran the Santa Shop at my girl's grade school for probably five years.  It was a year round event because we hand made every item in it!  Thousands of items every year!  It was so much fun!

So on Monday's I will be showing you some of the other projects that I have made and have been working on!  Today I wanted to show you a necklace that I made at one of our recent team meetings.  One of our team members asked if she could teach us all how to make these necklaces so we said sure!

Here is the one I made:

IMG_7363  They were very easy to do and I just love the way this one turned out!  I wear a lot of coral and orange so I have had several chances to wear my necklace already!

Thanks Julie for introducing me to this new craft!

Christmas in July card class

Hello Stampers!  Yes, you read that title right, Christmas in July class!  I'm so excited! I just love Christmas and I really love it when I get to start making my Christmas cards!  I usually send out between 80 - 100 Christmas cards each year, so I have to get started early making them!  And as long as I am making my cards, I might as well hold a Christmas in July card class!

Here are the cards that we will be making in our class:

IMG_7367 There are four different cards, and you will be making four of each of them! So you will leave this class with 16 Christmas cards!  The cost of this class is $30 and includes everything you will need except for adhesive.

Class will be held on:

Wednesday, July 13th  6:00 p.m.  (Hobby Lobby - Arnold)

Can't make it to class, let me know and I will make up a kit for you for the same price!

Happy 4th of July!

Hello Stampers!  I hope that you all are enjoying a great long weekend with your family and friends!  I made a cute patriotic card using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits a few days ago to share with you all today!  Wouldn't you love to see it?  Yeah, me too!

I started a super deep clean of my stamping room a couple of days ago, and I totally tore my room apart, top, bottom, drawers, shelves, etc.  I am just about to get it put all back together, but guess what?  I can't find the 4th of July card!  When I do find it, if I do find it, I will certainly share it with you!

Until then, one of my super sweet team members brought me a 4th of July gift this morning!  So, I'm going to share that with you instead!

IMG_7365 Isn't this super cute?

She used the banners from the June Paper Pumpkin kit!  The 4th and banner are from the Number of Years stamp set and coordinating Large Numbers Framelits. And of course the inside is filled with the patriotic Skittles!  Yum!

Thanks Lisa and Rachael for this great gift and for sharing your talents with us!

Cards for the church

Hello Stampers!  Several months ago, one of my team members and I started a card community at our church.  We get together on a monthly basis and make cards for the church to use.  It took awhile for the church staff and community leaders to get what we were doing, but now they seem to get it and they are putting in tons of requests for cards!  Her are a few that we have recently made:

IMG_7359 This card uses the Botanical Builder framelits. They make such gorgeous cards!

IMG_7360 This is one of our baptism cards.  This card uses the All God's Grace stamp set. I think this is such a beautiful cross!  I also love all of the sentiments in this set!

IMG_7361 This card uses the Over the Rainbow stamp set.  I love how you can use one of the stamps to color in each letter!  So quick and easy!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great 4th of July weekend with your friends & family!
