April Paper Pumpkin kit

Hello Stampers!  Do you know what Paper Pumpkin is?  It is an awesome monthly kit that you can receive in your mailbox each month.  Each month is a surprise kit that might make several cards or a 3D or home decor project.  I love the fact that it is a surprise each month!  Everything you need to complete your kit is included, except for basic adhesive.

For my Paper Pumpkin subscribers, I also have a Facebook group where members can post pictures of their completed projects or alternative projects that they have created.

Stampin' Up! releases a video each month showing how to complete your project plus they send out an e-mail each month showing some alternative project ideas.

As a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you also have access to any past kits that are still available.

Here is this month's kit:

And here are some alternative projects that Stampin' Up! created:

Check out the Stampin' Up! blog today for some details on these alternatives at!

I also love to create additional projects with some of the leftover supplies!  This month I created this cute card:

So, can you believe you can get this fabulous kit each month for only $19.95 plus tax?  That's right, you don't even have to pay for shipping!!!  Contact me today and we can get you all set up!

OnStage Make n' takes

Hello Stampers!  Alright!  I'm finally able to get back into the swing of things!  I was only home for Monday and then Tuesday I left town again!  My girls and I went to Kansas City to see one of our favorite groups, Pentatonix!  When in the world would we drive 4 hours to listen to a concert?  Especially when they were right here in our own town only two days earlier???  Well, blame it on the college student who doesn't like to miss classes!!!

My youngest, Amie, just didn't think she could come home for the weekend and not go back until Monday, since she would miss her classes on Monday.  So, since Kansas City is very close to her, we opted for Tuesday.  Casie and I jumped in the car Tuesday and headed to KC.  Amie met us at my mom's and then we went together to the concert that night.  Then Amie got up early and headed back to school before classes started (about a 45 minute drive) and Casie and I drove home Wednesday.   It was a whirlwind trip, but well worth it!  If you haven't heard of Pentatonix, check out some of their You Tube videos.  They are fabulous!

Today I want to share with you the make n' takes that we completed at OnStage.

IMG_7026 This is a super cute shaker card!  It uses lots of products from the new catalog!  See the stamp set?  That one is called Confetti Celebration.  The confetti inside the card is a mixture of the Bright Sequin Assortment and the new Sprinkles punch.  Another fabulous product we used was our new foam adhesive strips!  If you are a paper pumpkin subscriber, you know what they are!

IMG_7029 This card we made using the Affectionately Yours Suite.  The flowers were stamped using the Love & Affection stamp set and the embossed white flowers were using the Floral Affection embossing folders.  There are two of them in a pack!  The designer series paper is from the Affectionately Yours designer series paper pack.  It is so beautiful and has two sheets embossed with copper!!!  So pretty!

IMG_7027 This fun card is one of the cards from the Oh Happy Day Card Kit!  I love this kit and I can't wait to get my hands on the whole kit!  This fun cards opens up by lifting up the heart!

IMG_7030 This card is a sneak peek of the May Paper Pumpkin kit!  I love it!  You will not want to miss this kit!  Be sure to sign up for your subscription before May 10 to receive this kit in May!  Contact me and I can tell you how!

IMG_7025 Finally, we made this chart using the 5 new In-colors!  I have to say that I love these new colors!  They are Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, and Sweet Sugarplum!  I believe my favorite one is Peekaboo Peach!  It will look great with Dapper Denim.

Keep checking back and I will continue sharing from OnStage!

OnStage stash!!!

Hello Stampers!  I'm so excited and pumped up right now!  OnStage was an absolute blast!  I have to say that in the 11 years I have been attending Convention, Leadership, and Regionals, this has got to be one of the best events ever!!!

I have come home with tons of class ideas, card ideas, and project ideas that I can't hardly wait to get started in my planning!  However, life goes on also, so today I have two stamp times at church, and I have to unpack, do laundry, clean house, etc. so today I just wanted to share with you the stash that I came home with!

I'm still under a gag order until 2:00 this afternoon when the retiring list will be out, so I can't show you my new stamp sets or the catalog yet!

After that I can share the new stuff!  So check the Stampin' Up! website after 2:00 for the list!  I will post it here as soon as I get a chance!

Just wanted to add too that I did make it home from Salt Lake City safely!  Although it was chilly while we were in Salt Lake City, we had to fly out and change planes in Denver.  Well unfortunately, Denver has been stuck with a snow storm for the last couple of days!  So our flights in and out of there were questionable!  But we did make it in and out with no problem!  Thanks to everyone for their concern on Facebook!

Thanks for stopping by!

Final Swap card

Hello Stampers!  Today I'm going to share with you my final swap card.  I guess I was really in a rainbow mood when I decided upon my swaps for this year!  Here is the last one I decided on:

IMG_6507-001 This was a fun card to make!  So bright and springy!  And I think the flowers down the side really make the card!  I just cut 1 1/2" wide strips of cardstock and then tore down one side and adhere to card front.  Simple as that!  You can do this in any color combination too!

Come back next week and I will start sharing some things from my OnStage trip!  Can't wait!

Black & White Plus Swap

Hello Stampers!  Today I have another one of my swap cards to share with you.  I got into a black & white plus one color swap.  I have done the black & white swaps before and I usually love the cards that I receive.  So pretty!  So I decided to get into another one!  Here is the card that I made:

IMG_6506-001 My extra color that I choose was Daffodil Delight.  All I did was take a sharpie marker and color our Pearl Basic Jewels.  So simple but a stunning result!

Come back tomorrow for my last swap card!

I'm leaving, on a jet plane!

Hello Stampers!  Well today I'm off to Salt Lake City!  It is time for our Stampin' Up! OnStage event!  This is the event that has taken the place of our annual Convention.

I'm so excited!  Not only do I get to see some friends that I only see about once a year, but I get to see the new Stampin' Up! catalog and play with some of the fun new products!!!  Be watching next week as I share some of the great stuff!

Today I wanted to show you one of the swaps that I made.  Every year I get into some organized swaps.  I love doing these because you get lots of cards with a similar theme.  I got into three swaps this year.  The first one is a #I'mbringingbirthdaysback swap, so basically just a birthday card swap!  Here is the card that I made:

IMG_6508-001 Isn't this a fun card?  I used the Confetti Stars Border punch down the side of the card.  There is a piece of white cardstock on the inside where I attached squares of the colored cardstock. I just adhered it into the inside of the card.  That's it!  Such a fun look!

Come back tomorrow and see another one of my swaps!

Oil Painting completed

Hello Stampers!  Sorry for the delay, but I have finally finished my oil painting!  It was a three day class, and I have to say, that it totally kicked my butt!  I was so tired every evening because of standing for 7 straight hours, that I came home, took a hot shower, vegged on the couch, and went to bed early!

I did get it finished though, and I'm fairly happy with the results.  I'm going to show you a progression of completion!

20160407_123623-001 This is day 1 at lunch time.

20160407_163236-001 This is end of day 1.

20160408_122228-001 This is lunch time day 2.

20160409_075234-001 This is end of day 2.

IMG_6495-001 Completed picture.  I don't guess it is too bad for only my second oil painting!

The last day of class was Saturday, and then yesterday I had my team meeting!  So I will soon have pics to share from that too!

Now I'm off to work on swaps for On Stage (Convention)!  I leave Wednesday morning.  I have signed up for three organized swaps so I have tons of cards to make!  Wish me luck!  Thanks for stopping by!
