Advent Calendar

Hello Stampers!  I just had to share with you today this amazing advent calendar that was posted on the Stampin' Up! website this week!

Advent These are the Tiny Treat Boxes that are in the annual catalog.  You get 25 boxes for only $7.00!  What a coincidence that you get 25 boxes!!!  Just the perfect number for an advent calendar!  You can cover these boxes with any designer series paper that you like.  This calendar uses the Home for Christmas designer series paper pack.  For the numbers they used the Hello December Project Life accessory pack.

I will definitely be making one of these calendars, so be watching for my version!

Halloween candy holder

Hello Stampers!  This last weekend was our Cardinal Stampers team meeting.  The gals like taking turns bringing the make n' take for the meeting and this month was Karen's turn.  Sometimes they bring cards and sometimes they bring 3D items.  Karen brought a super cute Halloween candy holder for us to make.

IMG_5332 Isn't this adorable?  I'm going to make a video on this next week, so keep checking back!  And thanks Karen for such an adorable make n' take!

Would you like to join us in all of the fun that we have at our meetings?  Contact me and I can tell you what it means to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!

Weekly deals

This last week I started a new card ministry at my church.  We will gather monthly to make cards for the church to use.  We already have huge requests for kid's birthday card, baptism cards, sympathy cards, and adult birthday cards.  Our card community is called Cards 4 Faith.

Monday was our first meeting, and I really had no idea what to expect!  I have a good friend, Julie, who is helping me out.  We both came up with two simple card designs and cut supplies for 20 - 30 cards each.  We made them fairly simple not knowing what the stamping experience would be for those who attended.

We had three lovely women show up for our first meeting.  They all had tons of card making and stamping experience, so the five of us set out making cards.  Before our two hour time limit was up, we had completed 90 cards!  That's right, 90 cards!

I was absolutely thrilled with the outcome!  Plus now I know that we don't need to do as much prep work for the next class!  Here are some close up pics of the four cards we made:

Thanks for stopping by today!  If you are local to St. Louis and would like to join us for our next Cards 4 Faith community, we meet on the third Monday of the month at both 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Framed punch art

Hello Stampers!  Darn it!  I missed another day of posting!  This is harder than I thought to post 5 days a week!  Let's keep at it until I get it right!!!  Tomorrow I'll show the next stamp set that I will be giving away!

Today I wanted to show you a gift that my upline gave me at Convention.  It is just a fun thing that we do every year, make gifts for other demonstrators!

IMG_5180 It is a framed art piece.  Isn't it cute?  And look at the other inserts she made:

IMG_5181 I think that they are super cute!  Thanks again Jeri!

Jeri likes to do punch art and our gifts and her swaps usually involve some type of punch art.

Sympathy & Get Well cards

Hello Stampers!  I don't know how many times I have heard that people don't like making sympathy cards!  Several of my own customers would rather purchase a sympathy card from me then make their own!  What is it about sympathy cards that people don't want to make them?  I just try to focus on making a beautiful card!  My team decided to hold a sympathy & get well card swap some time ago.  I think we received some beautiful cards!  Here they are:

IMG_5328 This card was made by Debbie H.

IMG_5327 This card was made by Pat V.

IMG_5326 This card was made by Julie.

IMG_5325 This card was made by Kathy.

IMG_5324 This card was made by Debbie N.

IMG_5323 This card was made by Pat B.

IMG_5322 This card was made by Sheila.

IMG_5321 This card was made by Lynn.

IMG_5320 This card was made by Tracy.

IMG_5319 This card was made by Karen.

IMG_5318 This card was made by Laura.

See, making sympathy or get well cards can be super simple!  Just make a beautiful card!  Thanks for stopping by!

Team shoebox swap

Hello Stampers!  I love our team meetings!  We have such a great group of women and we really have a good time together!  Once a quarter we extend our meeting time and have a "stamping day".  We may do projects that I have come up with, we may hold a shoebox swap, or we may work on one big project.  At our last quarterly "stamping day" we held a shoebox swap.  The ten of us that were able to make it to the meeting, created a card and brought enough supplies for the other nine of us to complete that card.  Here are the cards that we made:

IMG_5246 This card made me want to purchase this Sheltering Tree stamp set!!!  I believe this was Lynn's card.

IMG_5245 I think this was Pat V.'s card.

IMG_5244 This was Julie's card.  Love this idea with the Striped Scallop Thinlit.

IMG_5243 Help me out girl's, I can't remember who's card this is!

IMG_5242 I believe this was Kathy's card.  Love how the card stays closed by tucking the front under the cut out shell!

IMG_5241 I believe this was Laura's card.  My new favorite embossing folder, Woodland!

IMG_5240 This was Karen's card.  This card made me want the Bordering Blooms stamp set!

IMG_5239 Sorry, can't remember who's card this was either.  Liked stamping on designer series paper!

IMG_5238 This was Lisa's card.  Great use of the Your Presents stamp set!

IMG_5227 This was my card.  I used the Merry Everything and the Festival of Trees stamp sets.

Now you know why I LOVE our team meetings!  Contact me today and I can tell you how you can become one of our team members!

Hello Stampers!  First I have to say Congratulations to Pat!  She was one of my readers to respond to the fact that I forgot to post one day last week!  I had a couple more of you respond, but Pat's name was the name that I drew, so she wins the Happy You stamp set!  Remember to respond within 24 hours by either leaving a comment here or send me an e-mail.
