Big Shot Candy Buffet and blog candy

Hello Stampers!  I did it!  Today is day 30 of the blog-post-a-day contest for the month of June!  I'll let you know if I win anything!  Would you like to have a chance to win something too?  I'm curious if you have all enjoyed having a new post every day?  Leave me a comment, about that or anything else, between now and midnight on Sunday, July 4th, and I'll enter your name in a drawing for a free stamp set!  I will be giving away a soon to be retired Level 1 Hostess stamp set, Holiday Best.  It is a perfect set for upcoming holiday cards!

Now on to todays project.  Today was my daughter Casie's birthday party with her friends.  She didn't want to have a traditional cake with ice cream, so I suggested a candy buffet!  I have been seeing a lot of these on blogs, and I know Stampin' Up! is really big on them.  Here's what we came up with:

Blog 1179 We just round up several glass jars, bowls, and vases, and filled them with lots of colorful and yummy candies!  Too fun!  See the purple tin pail on the front of the table?  We got one for each girl and used the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine with the Serif Essentials alphabet dies to cut their initial out of decorative vinyl.  We also used the flower from the Baskets & Blooms die to add a little more decoration.

Did you know that Stampin' Up! sells the decorative vinyl sheets in 18 different colors and in chalkboard?  They are perfect for die cut machines and many other things!

Blog 1181 And of course, I have to show you a pic of the birthday girl!

To order any of the supplies mentioned above, hop on over to my Inkin With Dink website and click on the SHOP NOW in the top right corner.  Online ordering will be down until noon on July 1 for the changeover to the new catalog.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Stampin' Up! in the sand!

Hello Stampers!  Well, I started reorganizing my cardstock and stamp sets today, so no new stamped items to show.  Take a look at this stack of retiring cardstock though:

Blog 1172 WOW!  Some of this I will be selling at my Open House in August, but the majority of it is just moving upstairs into my scrapbooking room.

Are you curious about the title of today's post?  Stampin' Up! in the sand!  Look at this:

Blog 1178 I wore my flip flops that I got at Convention last year to the beach last week on our vacation.  This is what my footprints looked like in the sand as I walked!  Too fun!

Penguin punch art

Hello Stampers!  Today is my daughter Casie's birthday!  I can't believe that she is 16 today!  My how the time flies!  Do you remember that she is crazy for penguins?  So naturally, I had to make her a penguin card!  Here it is:

Blog 1171 Isn't he cute?  The head is made with the 1 3/4" circle punch in black and the wide oval punch in white.  The beak is the small oval punch.  For the body, I used the tag punch in black and the large oval in black for the wing.  It's that easy!  The greeting is simply layers of the 1" circle, 1 1/4" circle, 1 38" circle, and scallop circle punches.

Notice the cool texture on the Rich Razzleberry background?  That is done with my Big Shot Die-Cut Machine and the new Square Lattice Embossing folder in the Summer mini catalog.

Close As A Memory cards

Hello Stampers!  Today I'm going to show you some cards made with the retiring stamp set Close As A Memory.

Blog 1160 This is a card that we made in one of my card classes.  To accomplish the different colors of flowers on one stamp, I used markers to actually color the stamp.  When you are done coloring it, huff on the stamp and then stamp it on your cardstock.  It is a very easy technique.

Blog 1161 This card was a card that I made as a swap.  I placed individual seed beads in the middle of all of the flowers.  Very time consuming, but a WOW!

Blog 1162 This card I received as a swap from Diana.  I like the colors on this card.

Blog 1157 This would be a good 4th of July card too.  This swap was from Ellen.  She used the chipboard star layered with layers of cardstock.

One of a Kind and Very Thankful cards

Hello Stampers!  The stamp set One Of A Kind is on the retiring list.  This stamp set also had the Boho Blossom punch to coordinate with it.  This was wonderful because you don't have to cut out the stamped images!

Blog 1144 This neat card is a card that I made at a shoebox swap with my upline.  I love these colors together!

Blog 1145 This card was one that we did in a card class of mine some time ago.  I CASE'd it off of Angie's blog.

Totally Tool Father's Day card

Hello Stampers!  Happy Father's Day to all of the Dads out there!  Today I wanted to show you the Father's Day card that I made for my daughters to give my husband.

Blog 1170 He is a great handyman and likes to do a lot of fixing things around the house, so I thought this was perfect!  This is also the card we made in my card class last month.

The background of this card was made with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder with the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine.  This folder gives cardstock such a neat feel, almost like linen.  It's too cool!  You have got to try it!

I used the Totally Tool stamp set and stamped the tools on a separate piece of cardstock an then colored them with markers and cut them out.  I then layered them on my card front.  The Celebrate comes from the Celebrate Everything stamp set, which is going to be retiring on June 30th.

If you would like to order any of the supplies I used, or the Totally Tool stamp set before it retires, hop on over to my Inkin With Dink website and click on the SHOP NOW in the top right.

Hello Stampers!  Today is my 21st wedding anniversary!  Happy Anniversary to me!  Want to see the card I made for my hubby?

Blog 1139 I love my bird punch! I seem to use it quite a bit lately.  I saw a similar card on Heather's blog, and decided to make it more masculine.  How do you think I did?  My husband said he liked it, so I guess it was successful!
